I have SM-C105L which is made for LGU+ carrier in Korea. It has a carrier lock for SK and KT telecom company in Korea. But it does not have country lock, so you can use it out of Korea. I want to use this phone on Korean local carrier SK (3G not LTE) but because of carrier lock, I cannot use it in Korea. If you have interest, I would like to change the phones if we can find a way to secure way to exchange phones.
If you want, please contact me by [email protected].
Thanks a lot...

I have SM-C105.
Works on LTE in POLAND and it is fast!

Signal problems

Does flashing new modems improve signal?

Not always, but you can give a try to flash several modems and look which is the best for you.

Flashing the right modem improves signal.
So if you are not having good signals, then flash another modem
And keep in mind that it could take up to 3-4 battery cycles to notice a difference

You can try different modem and see what is best suited to your needs

you can find the modems here [REF] Galaxy S 2 Shipped Modem Collection..
The name of the Modem usually specifies the region its intended for, however... this doesn't mean it will work best for you. Classification of the Modem regions is as follows:

Why is that? Does it gathers some data about connection or something? Just after flashing a modem one should not expect big difference in reception?

Why are there subcategories for only US variants?

There are many different variants of the Galaxy S6 edge. Why are there only subcategories for the US variants?
Here's a list that I could find. I think there may be more too...
SM-G9250 (China, HK)
SM-G925A (AT&T)
SM-G925F (Global)
SM-G925FQ (Turkey)
SM-G925I (LATAM, Singapore, India, Australia)
SM-G925K, SM-G925L, SM-G925S (Korea)
SM-G925P (Sprint)
SM-G925T (T-Mobile)
SM-G925W8 (Canada)
It would be better to be categorized according to Model number rather than careere.
probably because this is an English speaking, USA based forum
you forgot g925v.. verizon... probably the largest US carrier lol
Sent from my SM-G925V using XDA Free mobile app
SM-G925R is the Us Cellular variant. Ik there aren't nearly as many USC users as the big 4 but their worth mentioning since they're completely unlocked.

Since JB Online LLC purchased it on January 10, 2010 (source). Before that, I believe it was Dutch owned.

So the Pirate Bay being hosted in Sweden means it should be in Swedish and only cater to Swedish users? Location of the server and language aren't relevant, the users make a social site like xda and the question above is a valid one if it's deemed that a large proportion of S6 users have a non-US variant.
In agreement that subcategories should by according to the model, or at least extend to international carriers....

I never said anything about only "catering" to any body; if thats your perception, than its your error

I do not think G925F is global necessarily. It's for Europe... I found out G9250 has the most comprehensive list of supported 3g, LTE bands.

Question US galaxy S23 ultra U1 5G in Europe

Has anyone been able to receive 5G in Europe with the US U1 Galaxy S23 Ultra?
Apparently it does in the UK. but that's not Europe

The UK is a part of Europe. Just because they are not a part of the European Union doesn't mean they aren't a part of the European continent.
