Instructions: !!!Be aware that im not responsible for any damage that can cause this rom!!!
1. Be sure that you have installed 4.0.3 stock official rom from huawei and your bootloader is not locked.
2. Now you need to install TWRP/CWM recovery.
To do it download zip with Automated installer of TWRP/CWM/STOCK Recoveries to PC, unpack it in the place you like on PC, run install_recovery.cmd and follow onscreen instructions.
2. Then download CyanogenMod 10 for Huawei Mediapad, Google apps and place them on your internal or external sd.
3. Boot in TWRP/CWM Recovery, then choose Backup and confirm operation (you will get full backup of stock rom).
4. If you want flash rom on top of previous cm10/pa rom - skip this part and go to 5.
Otherwise If you goes from stock or AOKP rom then Press back to go to main menu and choose Wipe there and choose Factory reset there and confirm operation .
5. Press back again and choose Install, then find downloaded zip rom, choose it and and confirm operation .
6. Press back again and choose Install, then find downloaded zip with Gapps, choose it and confirm operation .
7. Then reboot in system and enjoy CyanogenMod 10.1 rom on your Mediapad
PLS notice: twrp/cwm recoveries are intended to use with custom roms like cm10/pa/aokp. In stock huawei rom internal memory is mounted to data/shared. But custom recoveries have an option to bypass only internal memory that mounted to data/media. So for stock rom these recoveries will do backup of internal memory during backup and will do wipe during factory reset. But they wont do it for custom roms like cm10/pa etc.

Check the screen of the mediapad while connecting. ADB ask for permission to connect to your pc since a while. If you do not grant that permission, the device is listed as offline. You will also have to allow root access via ADB in the developer options if you need it, as it is disabled by default now.

Wow, youre great. Mediapad live forever :good:

Camera is fixed New cm Focal camera works reaaaaaaly bad, almost not usable, but stock camera seems to work fine. I think even it will be better to not include Focal in release to free some space for gapps.
Now is the hardest part left - to backport bluez for bt.

Lol, that doesn't sound like a lot. People should really use millibitcoins by now. "I send you 100 mBTC" sounds a lot better.
@after_silence: For 0.1BTC I would think about generating a bitcoin wallet. Takes 5 minutes, and BTCs are skyrocketing.

- Sensors;
- Camera;
- Camcorder;
- Wi-fi;
- HDMI;
- GPS;
- Usb-host;
- Usb connection to PC (mtp, ptp);

Problems in current rom:

- Google apps.
Instructions: !!!Be aware that im not responsible for any damage that can cause this rom!!!
1. Flash TWRP recovery from fastboot by these commands:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery2 recovery.img
2. Then download CM9 for Huawei Mediapad, Gapps and place them on your sdcard (not internal memory).

Pls notice, that this recovery can make backup only of /cust partition, not /hwcust like in international roms.

5. Press back again and choose Install, then find downloaded zip rom, choose it and Swipe to Confirm Flash.

- fixed GPS;
- fixed USB-host;
- fixed "phone UI" of cm9 launcher to "tablet" one (now you can adjust grid size, default is 6x6);
- changed back light.sensor values to stock one (at least it works now);
- fixed Bluetooth (see above for bluetooth_fix_for_alpha2)
- CM9 for Huawei Mediapad - Alpha 1 - 07.08.2012.
- moved to kernel 3.0.38 Mediapad EX OlympiC Edition by bart594 - really big thx to him (kernel changelog here and here);
- fixed time resetting after reboot;
- completely fixed radio and data connection;
- working usb/wifi tethering;
- ro.secure=0 for supporting adb push to /system, /data etc;
- fixed problems with gallery.
- CM9 for Huawei Mediapad - Alpha0-Preview1 - 03.08.2012.
Very well done, hopefully we can have a full functional version and soon enough JB

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICKED YOUR DEVICE.
Do research and reading if you are uncertain about this rom.
Do not PM me about the ROM.
WHAT IS IT?
Xylon is fully transformed distribution for Android Devices. It is designed to take full advantage of the device’s hardware and to provide the user pure Android experience.
The team is constantly working on making things better for the users and is happy to do so. We, the team, believe that for one to experience the pure taste of Android, he/she should be provided with something which is fast, intuitive and fluid – That’s where we come in – To provide you that.
Xylon started as a part of the Fruits & Veggies (FNV) project, a community ROM for the Galaxy Nexus and is now set up individually but its roots are based on FNV. Remicks, the founder of the FNV – inspired Daniel MM (Daxmax, founder of Xylon) to build something that would make users love what they use. In Daniel’s words – “This is an FNV based ROM, not FNV. But it has the winds of FNV, and it has more spacious features around the Android world.”

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
CHANGELOGS:
Look at XYAOSP source history for further changes, I will not post them.
02/27 – Repo synced, Initial build so there could be many bugs.
03/06 – Repo synced, kernel updated to 3.0.68 with new lowmemorykiller, font size increased a little in statusbar and Trebuchet, you can increase icon size to 120% in Trebuchet, gesture control in Trebuchet, new SuperUser (Koush's).
IMPORTANT NOTES: If you noticed null icons (no action icons) on the NavBar then you need to go to Settings > XY Tools > Navigation Bar > Menu (The vertical three dots) and Reset navbar icons/targets. For Navigation Ring to work, you need to clear data/data1 if you are on previous build.

Lots of things

INSTRUCTIONS:
You need to do a full wipe (factory reset and wipe cache) if you are on a different ROM.
You need to wipe data1 and cache if you are SD booting.
You need to reinstall GAPPS after each ROM installation.
In the case you booted and all you see is black screen for a couple minutes, reboot to see if it's fix.
Initial booting can take several minutes.
Copy ROM/GAPPS into your Internal Storage on the device.
Reboot into recovery and install ROM from Internal Storage.
Full wipe can be done before or after installing ROM/GAPPS.
For SD booting, you need to make bootable SDCard first.
There are plenty of guides around.

Mainly for stock Android with no superuser.
All CM ROM come with superuser access.
How do I block OTA updates from BN?
You don’t need to. You are running CM software not BN.

The latest recovery (Orange theme) has an option “Wipe data1 on sdcard”, that is wipe P3 on sdcard.
It’s similar to factory reset, only that wipe data partition on the internal memory.
Boot animation is messed up?
Yes, for now.
What about tethering?
It’s removed since CM7, I couldn’t get to work with all the outdated patches.

Imma test it out also. Fantastic!!
---------- Post added at 02:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:45 AM ----------
After testing for about an hour, I can name a few problems I came across. First thing I noticed was the text and the icons. They were blurry and was an eye strain for me. Second minor problem but the Nav icons are smaller than on the other builds. I tried youtube and the first video I tried didnt work. Just show's play button.
Keep up the great work!!
I'll try this out, thanks.
Just to be clear, only the top link is for the actual rom right? The source links are just for reference? I assume.
Anyone try it yet?

The download link is under Internal ROM towards the middle of the post.
Used this ROM for a day, not bad.
Love the customization. To me though, it feels a little laggy. Also i have been having tons of trouble playing youtube videos on it, both on the website and through the app. they either dont start at all or crash (and i still hear the audio, lol). sometimes they simply wont load.
another observation is that pretty much all the 4.2 ROMs i've tried have pretty bad battery life when compared to 2.3. This is unfortunate but doesnt render the tablet unusable. I'd say if you charge it every night, it is fine. Leave the tablet overnight, without charging, with wifi on (although i know it goes into sleep) the battery drops from 85 to 35 in about 8-9 hours, which is awful.
Personally I am going back to PA 3.1 for now, but will check back if development progresses.
I tried out Xylon: for a first build it works really well and is very responsive (even though I am running it off SD). The couple of problems I ran across are the same one I recently encountered on some other ROMs: e.g., MX Player out-of-control when playing some video in HW mode (even when the Player is force-stopped the audio still keeps going), System-UI crashes when switching to Tablet-UI.
I think this ROM has a lot of potential and is really fun to use.
Whenever I adb devices from my PC to NT, it says devices offline, how can I connect my PC & NT? I found some other threat about new adb on 4.2.2 but they didn't help.

You might find some helpful pointers at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35971559#post35971559.
Also, make sure that you do have the latest update of ADB (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38118551&postcount=9).
FWIW, I re-flashed Xylon ROM with cm-10.1-20121212-gapps-SDC.zip — not only does Google auto-restore now works but also I no longer have the problem of “System-UI has stopped” when switching to Tablet-UI.
been using this for 4 or 5 days now, seems pretty good to me, battery life is a lil suspect, but ive just uopdated to 6th march version, so will see how this goes
CWM Backups
It may be I am using a dated CWM but my 6.0.2.8 version does not correctly calculate the MD5 sums. Anyone able to successfully do backups with MD5 sums ti help me know if the issue is mine or the ROMS?
Looks cool Im going to try flashing this rom today. Thanks for all the work you put into it.

6.0.2.8 is a very recent if not the latest version of CWM.
How do you determine that "6.0.2.8 version does not correctly calculate the MD5 sums"?

When I run the backup, the last step performs the MD5 sum and it gives an error. I had this with a backup with a different ROM as well yesterday. I didn't retry so it could have been circumstantial. I don't have this ROM installed any longer so I can't attempt another backup of it.

FWIW, the couple of times I encountered "MD5 errors" in doing backup using recovery were when I had insufficient space in the sdcard's first partition ("/boot") to accommodate the size of the needed backup.
The Rom seems to think that /sdcard directory is in the external sd card, So I can't download files from the internet (web browser) with out a microsd, it gives me an error "says no such directory." Is this normal for the Nook Tablet, any way to get around that?

Hello XDA,
Our little player didn't got any attention from Samsung, they said it has "too low specs".
They may be right, but that doesn't mean we'll have to throw it away, so
I'm proud to present you: Android 4.4.3 for your Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6!
Official discussion thread (Q&A, News, Tricks,...) -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2769281
Features
- OpenGL Hardware acceleration
- Open GLES 1.1 & 2.0
- Audio effects
- Vibration support
- Access to internal and external storage
- FM Radio support
- All senors working:
- Geomagnetic sensor
- Accelerometer
- Compass
- More battery-saving than stock
- Button Backlight Notifications
All features from AOSP 4.4 (Read here: http://www.android.com/versions/kit-kat-4-4/) and CyanogenMod 11 (Read here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/About)
Note
We're running CM11 on the stock kernel (from opensource.samsung.com), which is able to run CM11 and contains a lot of fixes and improvements.
It won't run as stable as a 3.x kernel, but it's doing what it should be.
Some things (mostly improvements) aren't working correctly (ION, HWC,...) because of missing kernel drivers..
The ROM is actually in a very, very early development state, that means:
- Random crashes
- Some apps may not work correctly (or won't start)
- It's not very smooth
CyanogenMod 11 is still under development and not made for daily use yet.
Not Working
Camera
Internal memory
External memory
zRAM
USB access
WiFi (near to fix)
Bluetooth
Dual boot to recovery

I'm only able to improve this ROM if I get bugreports.
A bugreport must include:

A bugreport without a logcat is useless!

[ROM][LP] [5.1.1-r4][Unofficial] PACMAN rom [2015-07-04]

Hello everybody,
I've just compiled PACMAN-ROM for my new Z3C. Current version is PAC-LP MR1 Beta2.
Device trees are CyanogenMod's so probably all device specific CM-bugs will be there too.
The boot.img inside the zip contains CM 12.1 kernel and "Cyanogen Recovery" (no backup right now!).
For alternative recoveries/kernels scroll down to "TESTED - WORKING"...
If the rom is stable for daily use (as I hope) I'm gonna build newer version periodically (depending on PAC & CM updates).

Flash it before or after installing the PACROM zip. It contains the zip's
kernel + DualRecovery. Installing the rom zip will overwrite recovery again
so for backups it might be necessary
to flash it always before installing a new zip, e.g.
2015-04-29:
- Screenshots
- Yes! I got it running. After some hours of use, it seems really smooth & snappy. No reboots.
- How I installed everything: Root on Kitkat stock rom, backup TA-partition, install
Dual-recovery, update to Lollipop rooted, make nandroid backup of hole system,
unlock bootloader, flash PACMAN boot.img, wipe data/caches,
flash PACMAN zip + GAPPS ... quite some hours of work.
TESTED - WORKING:
- 2G, 3G, 4G
- wifi, wifi hotspot
- bluetooth audio
- nfc
- usb otg
- GAPPS (mentioned below)
- titanium backup
- PAC customizations (not all tested)
- video playback on youtube, vlc, mxplayer
- camera & video recording
- GPS using Google Maps
- headphone sound
- XZDR recovery (version 2.8.15 not working): http://nut.xperia-files.com/
- FOTA TWRP recovery (persistent in fota kernel partition): http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-...12-nightly-t3010550/post58854063#post58854063
- M5 kernel (CM12.1 based): http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/orig-development/kernel-m5-kernel-t3115498
BUGS:
- phone call volume loud / not reducable in dialer app. (skype & whatsapp calls are alright) solved on 150512
- If alarm clock is set active -> reboot leads to normal shutdown -> deactivate alarm for that case
- photo: Little fish-eye effect on short distance (it's not that little actually)
NOT TESTED YET:
- encryption
Installation notes: Unlocked bootloader required
- flash boot.img (rashr on phone/ fastboot on pc), then boot into custom recovery
- wipe cache, wipe art/dalvik cache
- when coming from a different rom wipe data (factory reset)
- when changing between different gapps packages format system may be useful
- flash rom zip
- if needed flash gapps zip

Just flash it before or after installing the PACROM zip. It contains the original kernel + DualRecovery. CyanogenRecovery really sucks, not even a way to make backups. Now we can
does this have a camera fix included, or does that need to be flashed separately? I don't have a backed up TA partition, so I rely on the fix for image processing (like many others on here, I'm sure).
thanks in advance and nice to see the ROM!

there's nothing like this included. as far as i know custom roms/ custom kernels can't handle drm keys from TA partition. not sure about flashable drm replacement, i don't think it will work, but maybe it does
perhaps someone knows more about this sony image processing stuff.
isn't that all software based? if so, i could imagine that a good camera app (FV-5 or something like) can bring the same results.
Great work mate. Been running a few hours with the updated boot.img
Hopefully there is no "memory leak"

That fix is only useful on stock Sony based rom's.
bugs update
(1) i found a small, almost funny bug. couldn't reboot to recovery today because phone always ended with shutdown. i desperately flashed the boot.img again but no change. only after deactivating everything i thought not being active at installation the problem disappeared.
well, it's the active alarm, that i use every morning ...
(2) in call volume issue seem's to be somewhere hidden in android_device_sony_z3c/audio/mixer_paths.xml of the repo. just in case someone likes to search :laugh:
I have noticed a small bug, could be just me though. When rebooting while plugged in to the USB charger it goes as far as the Sony logo then freezes until I unplug it. How would I go about submitting a bug report for it?

Hi, thank's for that! I've just reproduced what you wrote. On my phone this is also connected to active alarm clock. It's rebooting fine when alarm is off. So, quite the same as my last post.
I have no suggestion about real bug reports, because of 2 reasons: this is an unofficial build, primarily for myself ... but shared. I would stop building if Z3C would get official PAC support. And I've just started building roms 2 months ago. So, I'm not having the skills (yet) for advanced debugging. Right now it's more like being voluntary apprentice :laugh: ... I'm gonna add your input it into 1st post.
For now stability of this rom is mainly dependent on PACROM itself and official CM support.
Im glad you could reproduce the same bug. I think you have done a great job mate. I'm loving this ROM and appreciate your efforts. I'm trying to figure the dev side of things myself, not having much luck yet.

Good job, m8!
Can someone post a picture, taken by camera on this phone with this rom ?
A picture of a door , or a wall, for example. Any picture featuring a rectangular shape with straight lines.
I had a broblem be4 on CM12 @z3c , the camera ( any camera app ) took pictures, distorting proportions, like there was a fisheye filter applied

--------------------------------------
Troubleshooting
--------------------------------------
SD Card:
- Several users had to format their SD card after flashing this rom by using the built in format-tool which is offered after setting up the device checking the notification bar.
Camera App:
- cm13 stock camera app does not work with zoom, and video quality is bad. We advise you use the camera app of your choice which should fix any poor quality
- other camera apps like open camera has also no zoom functionality
Smart Key
- While Smart Key is an emui feature, it's not present in cm13. You can add and even enhance this feature using the xposed additions app to add functions to any key with rules when and what to act.
You will need to "Allow External Devices" Option with "Miscellaneous" checked
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.spazedog.xposed.additionsgb
EMUI Features
- Since this is cyanogenmod and not emui, most of the emui specific features such as telephone cleaner, multi-window, knuckle-screenshot, screenshot-video-recording, huawai backup, permission master, etc. - you might love or hate are not available in this rom. with cyanogenmod you get the vanilla android experience, it is smooth and very stable, and up to the closest possible rom getting the original android experience...
- A few features can still be used, such as smart key, most of them rely on having xposed modules
--------------------------------------
EMUI - Comparable Features on CM13
--------------------------------------
Smart Key
--------------------------------------
Other known issues
--------------------------------------
- ADB Device shown as "offline" for a few users (Maybe related to xposed?)

there is no such function in vanilla cm13, in most countries at least in europe call recording is against the law anyhow. that's why you don't find this feature on any stock rom.
if you want cm13 and still insist having this feature, you may add this feature with xposed ...

( i haven't tried it though )

Or you can just install ACR app.
"Call Recorder - ACR" (com.nll.acr) from Google Play works for me.

I think that the fact that swipe-fingerprint-scanner-to-open-notification-shade-gesture is missing is worth mentioning. I, personally, really loved this gesture.

I found a xposed module that should handle this - couldn't get working this fingerprint gesture. But the tap-on-sensor-to-go-back is working !
The module is called "Fingerprint Quick Action"

i have tried that one, i think the version u get from xposed 0.10 is nowhere near the function from emui... swiping the finger print as well as tapping almost didn't work at all. i almost never got any response at all.

If anybody ports again perhaps this could be integrated

Boldbeast working fine with this CM13. I had it install on my h7.
Settings:
Record Mode:
Mode 21 (root)
Record format: WAV
WAV Sample Rate: Set to 50000
* Tested, both way record perfectly when playback.
@endrancer
THX! Good job well done!
but i have 4 questions:
1.) isn’t it necessary and recommanded to delete saved fingerprints before doing a factory reset and flashing the CM13 rom? @papsi has written about that at his web-side!
2.) Not only TWRP 3.0.2 should work, @papsi177 has recommanded TWRP 2.8.7.0 of smiki at his page!
Is it possible to use it too?
3.) @papsi177 recommand to do factory wipe in TWRP only! Not with the EMUI function. Is it absolutely necessary to do in TWRP?
4.) as @papsi177 has written, it is suggested to remove sim pin code in front of flashing his rom! Did you forgot to add this suggestion?
Edit: corrected some facts and added question 3.&4

It is strongly recommended delete all saved fingerprints in EMUI befor flashing)
2.8.7.0 is also recommended)
@papsi177
nice to see, that you continue your support! Thanks!
Sorry, I don't get which version of Xposed I have to install...

Last one works fine (v87).
You have to flash zip from twrp, and then install apk to download modules

Is it possible to get double tap to wake work? Setting is on but it doesn't work. Double tap to sleep is working.

i'm not the rom author, i am just providing the summery page and trying to keep all informations we gather in one neat place so if we confirm other versions of twrp work as well i'll happily update it, so keep informations flowing and i'll edit as i have already done a few times.

I installed APK first, it's prompting you to install via twrp, which you can also do that way.

Buddy I know! "Good job" i wrote, because you have made this thread!
anyway....
after reading @papsi177 webpage, i recommand to complete your tutorial with the following points:
1.) Please delete all saved fingerprints before installing this rom!
2.) Do the factory wipe only inside of TWRP!
3.) Remove the sim pin before you install this rom!
