Damn! You guys are fast!
I'm loving your CM10.2 for the AHD. hopefully this phone will be as successful!!

Awesome! Kind of off topic but WOW I have not used RSDlite since the Krazr and Razr

Umm....
I am a bit of a n00b with Moto... I am looking to make the jump from HTC and Sprint ( I know right? )
So, What exactly is this?

It's the firmware to re-flash your phone if you screw up. It should be good as long as you don't brick the phone.
(hard brick)

Here is a link for RSD Lite 6.1.5 that I have. There is also with this an MTK Patch, this is not needed for your device. RSD Lite is needed in order to flash the FXZ, well and also the latest Motorola Drivers (assuming) you plugged your device in already to your computer, should be in good shape! :good:

Thanks a lot for your job team !
EDIT : ... to restore your system ... on rogers by exemple ... you must fash via rsdlite but you must delete the getvar line in the xml

Can't wait to get the phone. Enjoyed your work on my RAZR HD Dev Edition. Looking forward to your goods on a Moto X.

I dont know why but I can't get rsdlite to find my phone. Even though adb and fastboot work fine. Any advice? I'm using a surface pro

Try running as Admin, since Windows 8 can be a pain to get working right sometimes and it seems to never be the same fix for issues like this.

[Q] fastboot don't recognized my atrix

i have unlocked bootloader.
but pc don't recognize now the devices
when i try to flash recovery in fastboot mode( starting fastboot protocol ) it say : waiting for device..
but the drivers is installed on the pc "mot single ADB interface"
please help me!!!!
Did you enter to fastboot mode? I'm not 100% sure but the only way to use fastboot is to go to fastboot mode.
Sent from Motorola Atrix
do you have the correct drivers form moto? i think you need them to use fastboot. (had the same issue)
Are you using moto-fastboot?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138092
If not, and you are only trying to fastboot a small partition (not system or webtop) you can still use some older fastboot, but you might have to type
fastboot -i 0x22b8
But best is to try with moto-fastboot...
its not working for me even with moto fastboot

I just told you what to do. Unless you want me to copy and paste the instructions on how to flash cwm from the threads i told you to go read, i am unable to help. Flash cwm is a very simple instruction. If you can't do that, you should not be trying to flash a custom recovery

Just have the person who's sending you the apk file rename to a different extension let's say .jpg .png .mp3 and rename it to .apk after you receive it.

Yeah, this is the easiest method. Rename the extension or Zip the file and transfer it.
Or use BlueTooth File Transfer App from PlayStore.

Flash CWM and TWRP zips with a locked bootloader via Flash Gordon!

This has been extremely helpful for mods on the S4 Active with a locked bootloader. It is not the same as having a out-of-rom recovery but it is a nice work around as mods start flowing to this device. I have flash MANY mods for the Active and it has been GREAT. The developer is working on ideas for flashing roms but currently this is not for flashing roms, do not even try. This has not been tested yet for the G2 and I would not try it until your carrier has a restore option available (currently Verizon, Tmobile and AT&T have one and they can be found here. All credit goes to the original developer and here is his original thread
Do this at your own risk, by flashing a zip without a nandroid back up this can cause a software brick and you will have to restore
1. Install busy box from the play store (YOU NEED ROOT)
2. Install the apk from the forum
3. download the zip you want to flash
4. Select flash now and reboot
If you have get the error that says the zip is not a flashable zip here are some things that will help:
1. make sure there are NO spaces in the zip name
2. make sure the zip name is short
3. if you still get the error that says this is not a flashable zip reinstall busybox and advance features
4. Flash Gordon does not play nice with AROMA installer so the zip must not have the included
5. Check the download zip, sometimes it can get corrupt while downloading to your phone. Try to transfer the zip from a PC and flashing it. (this has happened once to me)
Has this been tested?

I have but not on the G2. I do not have a back up... Now I don't know if there are any G2 flashes available right now. But other mods may work just be careful.

It's not the zip that's in question. I've made enough of them to kill and elephant. It's the recovery. One has not been made specific for this phone yet, that I'm aware of. I'm under the impression that they are not universal.
