[Q] Anybody knows about external camera Flash ? - Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom

Came across this kickstarter for an external light source,
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iblazr/iblazr-the-led-flash-for-smartphones-and-tablets
does anyone know of anything else. I know this device already has a pretty decent flash, but this could make it even more awesome..
any other possibilities would be appreciated if anyone knows..

U don't need that.
on s4 , we can easily use additional flash light in trigger mode.
all u need is a regular flash light for DSLC, and plug in a light sensor trigger in the hotshoe.
I have on cheap made-in-china trigger obtained in HongKong, cost < US$10. so that we can have more than one flash light, in various direction.
Have fun.

Not needed on the S4 zoom as the xenon flash works very well.

No it does not for video. But then again who videos stuff in the dark? I.E. gigs have illuminated stages, any sport activities are well lit and so forth. Still suppose it could come in handy on rare occasions.

try recording in 30fps instead of 60fps, it is better.

Problem with the camera?

I have a problem with the camera, meaning that as soon as I open the application I hear a noise (two shots) and if I look at the camera in the meantime, I see that the sensor moves. What can I do?
I have a Litening 1.2!
Thanks

I dont think that is a Problem had that clicking to on other phones its the lens that focuses, clicking 2 times when you aktivate the camera and when you switch
to Video mode,
The problem with the Cam for me is the real bad Focus, its almost imposible to scan barcodes etc. with google googles , etc..
im on newst Cam Firmware !
got 2 with this camera noise and 3 without.
no clue if it's okay ? why different... other lenses ?

Did you update through Samsung apps on your phone?
If not, you might have installed a wrong version that doesn't match up with the cam hardware in your phone.
I'm not sure if this a valid reason, but there are some different cams out there which need different firmware versions

this is mostly because there are at least 3 different cam manufacturers, you can see this clearly because of their different firmware versions (which is of course vendor specific)!

ya, that clicking is part of your problem, it is sitting to far out and can't go back. It shouldn't smack the housing and make clicking noises. I have this issue to, might send it it to be fixed or wait for replacement parts to become available.
Same problem but worst
Me and a buddy of mine both bought the 9100 together of the same shlef. Mine does the clicking sound and his doesn't. But my problem is worst here because it seems that no photo outside of 20cm range comes out in focus.
I am just unable to take a decent photo of anything further than this.
Could a FW fix solve this? how do i know what is my cam mode is? and which FW belongs to it?
LT
I also have issue with the camera: the auto focus is not working at all.
I can't tell if it's after flashing litening 1.2 or if it has always been the case...
I have applyed the samsung camera firmware upgrade.
hmmm...i think when designgears says the clickcklick sound of the camera is a defect, then it is one
i can't really belive in this vendor specific camera moduls for a noise reason... that whould be just to much quaility difference if samsung is doing that ?!

I and 4 of my friends have the phone One with litening Rom1.2 the others all have stock one of them made yesterday the firmware update the other 2 not
and we all have the clicking sound !!
can it be that so many devices have this defective cam,
and non of us coud get a good focus on close distances 10 - 15 cm
I just caled samsung support Austria and they sayd the clicking is normal !
I also have the clicking from the beginning and i havent experienced any Problems. Neither with Barcodes nor with photos. But to be sure someone should test the exact same scenes with 2 devices and post the results.
I dont really remember but i think the clicking just started after the Camera Firmware Update.
I have clicking with camera360 app and no clicking with standard camera .....
Focusses perfect down to 10 cm even when then going to max zoom

how can i test if it is focusing good ? which mode and settings ? thx
Clicking sound; no problems.
It looks like the clicking is a symptom
It looks like the clicking is a symptom, and what I think it means is that the lens is not sitting in its right position.
I assume that the further the lens sits from its intended position, the worst the focus will be.
All in all, if the lens sits pretty close to its intended position then the photos will come out good even though you hear clicking.
On the other hand, other people might be less lucky and the lens position will be totally off and so will not be able to take decent photos at all...
This is of course my theorem, not my knowledgeable absolute...
It's funny how the clicking of the camera is ALWAYS an issue with every new phone for some people. Many phones have it (not only the SGS2) and it's normal. Some people might have problems with the camera and the focus, but it has nothing to do with the clicking sound. It's just the camera's initialization.

[Q] Camera LED flash way too strong

Hello there,
I think the camera flash is way too strong on the SGSII. Every photo I do with it make people close their eyes (I do it too) which is a pain is the ass.
I searched before for this problem and found several threads from 2011 like this one but no apparent solution.
Since then, is there a way/an app that can fix this ? I'm running cm-10.1
Thanks
I don't know of any solution that would help you, I only know that most phone cameras have that kind of problem. My hint is turn off the flash and try making the pictures with minimum exposure in party or candlelight mode. Normally pictures with flash suck anyways ^^ so try working without it. :good:
hey man, don't go making people blind!

Few questions to users

Hi moto e2 users
I'm interested in buying of this phone and I have few questions:
1. Is gps working fine? Does it work good as track recorder?
2. Has it got light sensor and gyroscope (i don't mean accelerometer)?
3. Can it save photos to SD?
Thanks for answer
1.GPS works very well on my device, but it gets a little crazy when I stay on indoors places.
2.I can't say about this because i never looked at this.
3.With the Moto Camera it can saves both photos and videos on SD Card.
Hope it helps, and it's such a nice device i must say.

Have you tried to record your track (using my tracks for example)? My current phone is horrible with that (recorded line is not straight, there are empty spaces) and I need update. About 2, can you install cpuz and give me screen shot from sensors tab?
Thanks

Touch issue on 3rd Input

Does anyone have this issue? This can affect in gaming... Like when I am using 4 finger claw in pubg. All most every time, i cant move my camera.
If anyone want to check this issue, download touch screen test app.. When u input 2 finger, the touch is solid...but when 3rd input comes... Its like fading away. Its like i am not touching it at all.
Anyone have any fix?? This is so problematic.
Please someone help....

i use claw method as well, and i can confirm that this issue doesnt happen to me.
Is it three finger screen capture problem it?
Hi there my friend.
I have the same problem with my POCO. In my previous cell phone, I played PUBG with triggers, but in this cell I can not move, aim and shoot at the same time. I think it's because of the same problem as the toch.
I did the same test with the program and there if you recognize all the touches of the screen in the same way.

It's either ROM/kernel issue, mine was working perfectly with triggers in AICP but broke in MSM-Xtended, didn't work in most of the custom kernel, but it's working on canting kernel (if you okay to test yourself)

I wonder if there is any tried and tested app anyone may recommend please?

I don't understand the question, maybe you didn't get what I said ?
There is no proximity sensor, instead they use some gimmick, like accelerometer + AI or else to simulate a sensor effect, which is crappy if you don't use the phone in the planned position/situation...screen going black mainly if you use phone while lying down according to my own experience.

Thank you for your reply Shokmah.
I actually understood exactly what you meant. I thank you for that valuable info.
I was wondering if there was an app in Google App Store which would actually prevent my screen going black while I am on the phone.
