On my S3, in the gallery, my friend who has the same phone has the delete icon in the top right corner when a picture is viewed in full screen, however mine is the slideshow button.
is there anyway to change it to the delete button?
my friend's came with her phone but mine didn't...
also next to it, i have the bluetooth shortcut and i was wondering if you can also change that.

Click to collapse
The gallery will have a slideshow button when within a folder where there are a lotta images.. The delete button will be visible when u press on any particular photo so that it is the only one on screen...
For your second qn, there are two buttons in the middle. One for share which contains all the sharing options. The next one can be set to any particular share feature (bluetooth, wifi direct etc) You need to hold the second button with one finger to change it.
Try it out. Hope I helped..

Relocating status indicator.

I have one of the new Galaxy Note 10.1s and I use my pen a lot for taking notes. I find that my hand often triggers the status menu located in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Is there any way I can relocate that to some other location?
Thanks!

[Q] Disabling Multiview ?

Hello all
i got the new update from samsung for my galaxy s3, now i have this multiview ribbon on the screen.
I do not need nor like the multiview, how can i disable that ribbon completely ?
Regards
Lorien
Long Press Back button to get rid of the ribbon..if you want to completely disable it..theres a toggle in notification panel..turn if off! Good Day!
Hold down back or Settings -> Display -> Multview -> Untick.
Oooh thats great. I would have never come to this idea with the back button.
Problem solved, thanks guys !

S View cover

I believe Samsung forgot to add the option to enable the S View cover. Running build KTU84P.G850FXXU2ANI2. Did anyone find the option to switch it on? On the S5 and Note 3 the "switch" is under Accessories, no such option on the Alpha.
Solved
Solved, the backside of the S View cover wasn't flush against the two contacts. Mind you, there is no S view cover setting in any of the menus. The Alpha detects the cover (if properly clicked in place), gives home screen S view cover selection screen and thats it.
The setting are under:
Settings -> System -> Accessories
Or you can slide to the 3 dots from the S-View cover when the screen is lit.

[Q] Touch screen sensitivity question

I posted this on a different forum but should have checked over here first. Hopefully one of you guys with a Gear S can verify this for me.
When swiping down from the clock screen to get to the quick menu it seems I have to be in the top center when I swipe down. If I try to swipe down from the top near the edges it does not work. This also applies when swiping down from a widget to get back to the home screen. If I am in app or scrolling through the apps the top edges seem to work as normal.
Just trying to figure out if it is supposed to be this way or my Gear S is defective?
Thanks
Just tried the swipe down on my Gear S. Won't respond if I'm swiping near the corners. Only responds when I swipe near the middle.
On my Galaxy Note 4, I can swipe straight down from the middle to pull up the notification panel. I can also swipe diagonally down from the corners to activate multi-window pop-up mode.
So, maybe the Gear S will eventually incorporate some type of diagonal swipe down from the corners to activate or open an app or setting.
Thanks for the checking. I figured it was designed like that but I had nothing to compare it to.
Thanks again
