Flashing With Odin
Install USB Drivers of your Device and remember an odin flashable file is supposed to be in .tar or .tar.md5 format only.
Lets Begin :-
1. Extract the Odin file from the zip.
2. Open Odin3 (Run As Administrator).
3. Put your device in download mode. To do so, press Vol-Down And Home And Power Button all together and when it vibrates release Power
Button. You should have a triangle with an android janitor while it's saying downloading...
4. You should see a blue rectangle with COM:xx and saying Added. It means that your device is ready to be flashed!
5. Go into the PDA section and select your .tar file.
6. Dont check any option (F.reset time and Auto reboot are checked by default) Let them stay like that.
7. Now click Start.
8. When it's finished, it should say that it's done with a green box and your device should reboot by itself...GUESS WHAT :- U r DONe

Just find premium cache of uploaded.net on google then u can even resume and download speed is upto 100kbps (in my case bsnl broadband)
I did i made my uploaded premium free and downloaded it tuk 3 hours to me ,put in night around 11pm then it download fast

A life saver bro, im currently downloading XXAMG3 Philippines, i encountered no audio after installing beatsaudio, and im planning to reflash again the firmware.
You may also want to flash this super su thru cwm. As easy as that.

Yup dats method just came few days ago ,i posted this when we didnt had CWM
I Did to beats audio having problem with Samsung phones i think cus i also flashed it on my galaxy pocket i also had sound problems afterwards

What is the differnce between these 2 versions? I saw in some previous post that INU mean unbranded and INS stands for standard one but I really cant understand those...:fingers-crossed:

The INS firmwares are for a specific operatiors like T-mobile AT&T etc INU is unlocked but in india there is no operators based phones so both are same

Hello! I wanted to check how I am sure that I have the latest version available for my phone? Is there a way to update if it isn't? I purchased this phone through a store in US. I live in Costa Rica.. It is Factory Unlocked.. But I've had some issues with it.. For example: I access on the phone the option de Update Firmware or Check for updates. It asks me to create a Samsung Account. I entered all the details and I clicked on "Create Account" And it loads the Terms and Conditions. I clicked ACCEPT and it goes to a screen that says "Loading" and it goes again to the "Terms and Conditions"... I clicked ACCEPT -> Loading -> Terms and Conditions.. etc.. haha. Thanks! Connect to Kies, it should say if you have any latest firmware available. Regards.

I wanted to check how I am sure that I have the latest version available for my phone? As posted Kies will give latest firmware for your phone . That may not be the latest release and may be a few upgrades behind .But it is the one for your phone . XDA for alternative methods stock rom post dev section .. You can also try the software update in settings but its yet to roll out worldwide via that OTA method . jje
i wouldn't use kies for update. i destoyed my sgs 1 twice by flashing an original firmware update. just go to samfirmware.com . U have to register but you can always sure to be up2date. All firmwares are flashable by odin. instructions included. e.g. newest firmware now is I9100XXKG3 ## 2011 July 20 - MULTI - CSC - OXAKG3

[Q] New Firmware
I got my S II with custom MIUI ROM. Then I downloaded and flashed with Odin stock 4.0.3. ROM. Everything was OK, then it updated over WiFi to 4.0.4 and installed some other updates and this is what I got on my phone now. after dialing *#1234#: VERSION PDA : I9100XWLPX PHONE : I9100XXLQ6 CSC : I9100NEELP5 Build info : Wed Aug 29 13:25:19 KST 2012 (and 1st phone screenshot current info) Today I updated Kies on PC to latest version, plugged in my phone and got message that there is new firmware. (2nd screenshot on PC) When I try update over WiFi I get no new updates available... According to SamMobile Firmware page this update is 4.0.3 (http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9100&pcode=NEE&os=1&type=1#firmware) Nordic countries ------- 2012 October ------- 4.0.3 ------- I9100XWLPY ------- I9100NEELP6 ------- Download ------- Unlock ------- Info Why does it want me to downgrade? It does not want you to downgrade. The only difference between the 2 firmwares is the csc version. your current version is csc LP5 NEE. updated version on kies csc LP6 NEE. apprently kies version has a newer csc.
1. will it remain on current 4.0.4 version? 2. will this process of updateing CSC delete everything (factory reset)? 3. should I do it ? Thanks.

Click to collapse The one you are reffering to is for Nordic Countries, mine is the Italian one. I've checked them both and there is no difference tho. I decided to pick this one cause jKay said he will pick this one for his Deluxe Settings framework. Lots of people are waiting for it so.. he kinda made my decision easier Edit: And i was wrong cause of course his framework will be compatible with all versions of LSD! Anyway, too much lsd/roms today

If not then you should stop posting such stuff. LSD is newer and at least to me seemed better than LS8. Plus there is no more LS8, it got upgraded to LSD (!) Click to collapse Hey there, well if you enable data/app option through kitchen while you are cooking your own Rom you can put apps inside the data/app (either in your working folder, or in my Deodexed one by simply opening .zip and dragging in the correct folder the apps you want) and these apps will be pre-installed as user apps after flashing the Rom.
