hi! im new here i just want to ask what is the meaning of PDA version, baseband version
i want to upgrade my ICS to official 4.0.4 but i dont know how to chose pda version
i found this site that is full of roms. http://live.samsung-updates.com/index.php?device=GT-S7562 and i dont know which would i choose that will fit in my device.

there is no jellybean update for your phone it is a normal ics update
for the selection choose the firmware of your country the newst firmware for your device is XXBMG2 FOR REGION

is your phone a GT-i9300 model? because the latest JB fw is for i9300 models
You won't get OTA updates.

Yep it's a GT I9300 but its working fine only thing ive noticed is the LED charging light is a lot dimmer than it was

There's no difference.As stated above you won't get the UK OTA updates when they do finally come out. But you can just flash the UK firmware later via Odin if you're so inclined.

GT-I9300 and I9300 are one and the same.. I just asked because there are variant firmwares. It is perfectly fine for you to flash the Polish JB, but you won't be getting any OTA from your Regions.

Go here http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 use drop down boxes to answer questions (phone,type,model,country etc) then select your firmware from there. nobody even me are going to spoon it to you that easily.

Did you flash without a wipe? Because it's not normal your phone gets stuck and all that.

Ofcourse its a custom ROM so will be having some problems/issues...check the ROMs before installing...not all custom ROMs are defective, many are way better than stock..
Follow the exact steps mentioned on the thread of the ROM you installed...give preference to recognised developers, and check their page properly, they might provide a fix for you problems on the page...

i forgot to say onething..! i bought my s2 in china and now i use in India.! so if have to flash to stock rom or firmware i have to choose country china or India ??
when i went to sammobile to search stock rom it asks country so i need to select india or china ?/ becoz i bought my mobile in china and now in india.! so need to select country india or china ?? i hope you understand !!! srry for my bad english !!

I'm not sure... But there shouldn't be any problem with Indian firmware as far as it's the international version of SGS2..
I've flashed the Indian firmware in the galaxy S2 which was purchased from dubai....no problems yet. ..
I dont think it should give any problem after factory reset...
I suppose only the modem will be different with country change. ..

As far as I'm aware an international s2 (I9100) is just that, any firmware for i9100 should be fine. I'm in the uk and flash rom builds from all around the world regularly with no problems.

Flashing With Odin
Install USB Drivers of your Device and remember an odin flashable file is supposed to be in .tar or .tar.md5 format only.
Lets Begin :-
1. Extract the Odin file from the zip.
2. Open Odin3 (Run As Administrator).
3. Put your device in download mode. To do so, press Vol-Down And Home And Power Button all together and when it vibrates release Power
Button. You should have a triangle with an android janitor while it's saying downloading...
4. You should see a blue rectangle with COM:xx and saying Added. It means that your device is ready to be flashed!
5. Go into the PDA section and select your .tar file.
6. Dont check any option (F.reset time and Auto reboot are checked by default) Let them stay like that.
7. Now click Start.
8. When it's finished, it should say that it's done with a green box and your device should reboot by itself...GUESS WHAT :- U r DONe

Just find premium cache of uploaded.net on google then u can even resume and download speed is upto 100kbps (in my case bsnl broadband)
I did i made my uploaded premium free and downloaded it tuk 3 hours to me ,put in night around 11pm then it download fast

Also You Can Do what you want ie. root etc ,if something went wrong Flash it through ODIN 3 v3.07 and get back to normal

Flashing With Odin
Install USB Drivers of your Device and remember an odin flashable file is supposed to be in .tar or .tar.md5 format only.
Lets Begin :-
1. Extract the Odin file from the zip.
2. Open Odin3 (Run As Administrator).
3. Put your device in download mode. To do so, press Vol-Down And Home And Power Button all together and when it vibrates release Power
Button. You should have a triangle with an android janitor while it's saying downloading...
4. You should see a blue rectangle with COM:xx and saying Added. It means that your device is ready to be flashed!
5. Go into the PDA section and select your .tar file.
6. Dont check any option (F.reset time and Auto reboot are checked by default) Let them stay like that.
7. Now click Start.
8. When it's finished, it should say that it's done with a green box and your device should reboot by itself...GUESS WHAT :- U r DONe

A life saver bro, im currently downloading XXAMG3 Philippines, i encountered no audio after installing beatsaudio, and im planning to reflash again the firmware.
You may also want to flash this super su thru cwm. As easy as that.

Yup dats method just came few days ago ,i posted this when we didnt had CWM
I Did to beats audio having problem with Samsung phones i think cus i also flashed it on my galaxy pocket i also had sound problems afterwards

What is the differnce between these 2 versions? I saw in some previous post that INU mean unbranded and INS stands for standard one but I really cant understand those...:fingers-crossed:

The INS firmwares are for a specific operatiors like T-mobile AT&T etc INU is unlocked but in india there is no operators based phones so both are same
