My local BB is taking preorders on it, but they could not give me a definite answer they'll have it on Sunday. Best bet is to call your local B&M stores on Friday/Saturday to see if they've got a shipment
I reserved one at a local Best Buy mobile in the mall of all things on the 25th. Funny thing the receipt says I can pick it up on the 25th but that's a computer error. The sales rep said they will be there this Sunday.
It will be available Sunday.
Local att store opens at 9. I will be there at 830.

I just pre-ordered mine this morning from the store here in Sacramento.
$50 minimum.
Had five or six locked up on his "Online-Order" Shelf.
Scanned one of them for my order.
I'm getting it for the $199 price since I'm OK for an upgrade.
Maybe better if I can provide evidence of a better deal.
I made several calls this morning to the local AT&T stores.
None had any stock, but could order for me.
Parrot was not expecting any until November.
If your in a hurry, then I'd suggest either Best-Buy pre-order or Direct online order.

I can personally confirm that Best Buy is accepting pre-orders for units they have locked up in the store.
I just made a $50 pre-order in Sacramento. Looked like they had 5-6 units on their locked shelf, one of which he scanned for my order.
Not aware of any other stores that will have them for pick-up tomorrow.
Feels like these will be hard to obtain for these early days.

What part of Northern California. I'm in Redding and our Best Buy will have them. I pre-ordered mine, but I called to make sure it would be there tomorrow and the guy told me they had 8 in stock in addition to the pre orders.
Has anyone seen any in stores/etc? I really want the black one, but am running out of time to buy the phone and still be eligable for the $100 trade in promotion which makes it much more worth while. Most stores I've called say not announced... but one store said a few stores have started getting them. I'd even consider the unlocked or dev version from htc direct, but hence no black available there either...
I'm starting to wonder if the black is worth the extra $100 over the silver... but I'm not sold on the silver yet.

All I know is they are over -150 orders in and they are just waiting for them to start showing up. If you cut it close get the silver and just trade it before the 14 days. I am hopeful that it will be either tomorrow or early next week.
I have not heard from a single person who has got it...
I've seen it in store as a demo and was offered one today but ended up buying the silver. I'm in Atlanta for your reference.

Make sure you call before you go. I had three stores tell me the silver was in stock when the HTC one was released when in fact it wasn't.

probably but I'm sure you probably can try to argue that it was suppose to be out the 19th and you had to get the rebate just to see what they said. I just talked to AT&T and it may be better news she said that the preorders and now at -144 so either they started shipping some or people canceled the orders.
I guess I'll call some Best Buys today then... I bet they'd even price match Walmart's $150. I'll also try calling a few corporate stores again today, though I'm sure they're tired of people calling.

I was at best buys yesterday and almost purchased a silver one. They approved the price match with walmart without hesitation. Decided to hold off and wait for the black but it's getting really difficult.

I actually got my silver on the 18th, but no rebate, just the media link streamer. I'm not sure it is worth the extra $35.

Just called them. They do not have the black in stock as I suspected. I doubt there are any black units in stores currently since the AT&T preorders haven't even shipped.

Unless they actually checked the availability right in front of you there's reason to believe them. I've been misled several times already.
I don't follow market trends or tactics but if I had to make a guess. You will see the black show up on the S4 release date.
Additionally, I'm surprised BB matched Wal-Mart. The price match doesn't include wireless phones. At least that is what their policy states.

my BBY said they stopped that practice. And I was trying so hard to wait to see if my Radio Shack was getting it so i could do the $50 Play store card. but they have no info on it. So I called ATT chewed them out and got the silver one for $150 free overnight and no activation fee. Im currently siting by the door lol im so impatient couldn't wait any longer:laugh:
I called my friend who is a manager at a Verizon corporate store yesterday and he claims that he isn't even sure if they'll have any G2s in stock on Thursday or not. He claims they might have to order them. Has anyone else checked with their local Verizon store? I assumed that every corporate store would at least have a few of these on Thursday.....
Meanwhile I'm playing with my ATT version one already =P, just kidding, I did stop into a corporate verizon store to see if they had accessories already, and the store I went said they hadn't gotten anything for the G2 in yet, and that they werent sure either if they'd have the phone on Thursday..I left and was like that sucks for Vzw users.
I can't believe Verizon would screw this up that bad after announcing in their press release that they would be available in store and online on the 12th.They pulled it up in the store I was at Sunday and it said releasing on all channels the 12th.Maybe they will get their shipment in tomorrow.I don't think it is going to be heavily promoted with the Note 3 release as well as the new iphone release.

Spoke to a store in Seattle and they said they were trained on the device and it was due in on Thursday but that seemed iffy. He said they will put it out the night before. I still wonder why there is so little on the website and the GN3 is out there for pre-order. Doesn't seem like they wanna sell the G2 over the GN3.

Money talks.I am sure Samsung is paying a lot of money to the carriers to get this preferred treatment.
my former boss runs a franchise store and they'll have it Thursday... which is why I avoid corporate verizon stores at all cost.

Speaking of. I have not seen one commercial yet for the g2. I don't recall what they did with the sg3 when it came out on verizon if there were commercials before or after. Kinda sad. Sleeper hit of the year.

I am pretty sure corporate stores will have them Thursday as well they are just clueless.It took 4 people 10 minutes to figure out how to be able process the payoff on my installment loan.They did not know anything about the G2 until they looked it up on their computer.

no I don't think that, I know it. when i ran a franchise store, the horror stories of corporate idiot reps along with my own past truly made me realize how much better going to anywhere but a corporate store is lol

I would go elsewhere but the corporate stores are the only ones that can do the 12 month installment plan.I don't want to tie my money up until I sell my current phone and its my only phone so I can't sell it first.I finance it then pay it off when my previous phone sells.

The rep I chatted with said $599.99 which would be inline with everyone else's price.

I just spoke with a VZW store in Salisbury, MD. They have no idea about the phone except that theyll have it Thursday. The representative told me all they would get was the 16 gb model--this seems to contradict everything else i've heard about the storage

I would say the Verizon corporate stores will have them Thursday. I only deal with my local corporate store and they are never in the loop with anything. They even tell me that, they say VZW is horrible about giving them information. Also it better be 32gb cause if its only 16gbs that will suck and ill have to look else where.

Just saw that Verizon changed the preorder day to the 10th when I verified my order online. Cool
When I looked at their website last week, it did say "Will ship by 10/10".
Yeah, I'm kinda confused too ... Before I preordered I was chatting with a Verizon rep online and I mentioned that I would just get mine in store. They told me "People who preorder will get their phone 2 weeks before it gets to stores". So, naturally I promptly placed my preorder ... I fell for their diabolical plan LOL
On a different note (no pun intended), there's a thread in the Note 3 section from a FedEx employee with a Verizon inside contact saying that the preorders will ship 9/29 .... I'm hoping this pans out!

I currently work at a verizon store, and I would definitely suggest buying from your local brick and mortar store.
