Caution! HTC Mini+ bluetooth handset not compatible with the 7.7 - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Accessories

This sucks. I just bought a bluetooth handset from HTC to make and accept calls but just realized that it is not compatible with non HTC devices.
If working right, The HTC mini+ lets you make calls w/o touching the tablet, listen to music, read text message, etc etc.
I can get it to pair but then it just suck on the "bluetooth pairing screen". The only thing I can do at the moment is accept calls and hang up.

HTC Mini+ with other devices non HTC
Hi i have Htc one mini+ too and it's very nice. Then i sell my htc device but i can only pair it with no htc device with nfc and then bluetooth . But it hasn't full operation like when it was paired with htc phone. It will be possible to get form htc device the apk function/program that operate to it to transport it to other android non htc device ? I think that mini+ is a clever object but only if your smartphone is more bigger than 5.5" . If i take an M8 device HTC i will use it without mini+ . I bought mini+ when i got Htc one max 8060 (dual sim asian version) and it was very special device. And it works with dual sim too ! When i pressed to mini+ green call button it asked me if i would like to call with sim1 or sim2. It was a genius product. Thanks in advance to all . byee

So did you manage to connect to a non htc android phone ?

someone has to invest time in to hacking and developing mods, which will most like be unlikely because there is such a small amount of people that is interested in getting a htc mini+ which is probably not produced anymore, to install another firmware via csr blue core...not happening. blues its designed to work with htc cuz its smoother like that. i had trouble using adnroid wear and my htc. everytime i called the phone would wake. while with this, the phone doest wake. its pretty cool

great ! and free. what's good !!
Very cool app, but it doesn't display correctly on square screens 320x320.
great app!!! it works good on omnia 2. thank u!!!
The App is Good and work Super on Blackstone one Suggestion.. When you bloow you hear one time LOOP so will be really great if the bloowing is real i mean if you bloow longer to hear longer the sound if you bloow shorter the sound to be short too not everytime the Wuvuzela to play the same way no matter how do you bloow
Thanks, this is amazing app, the sound is like hmm... african
It's great! Tested on my Treo Pro, some issues:
The app don't fit to the SQVGA screen, can you release a qvga version?
When I force to close the app I can't open it again without restarting my device.
After close the app there's no more sound system need to restart the device
Truly a great App.
But the microphone blowing doesnt work for me.
It says that my device is not supportet???
which device?
Its a Touch Diamond 2 Fake... T5355. ;-D
Well maybe because it is fake?
Does mic work for other applications?
Yeah in other Apps it works very well.
Have you calibrated the mic at settings? (check the option, blow straight into it and then tap Ok)
I have the problem that when I started Wuvuzela on Touch Diamond2 with Stock ROM, the mic will no longer work in phone mode. This sucks.
A soft reset seems to be the only workaround.
Maybe you need to close the app to talk... not the ideal but anyway its a fun app.
Anyone tried amplifying it?

Let HTC hear your thoughts on the 3D

After speaking with HTC on a few occasions, they wont be fixing issues unless they get reports from multiple users. So take a minute and give them a quick email or call to let them hear about your concerns.
This is an email that i have sent to HTC, just to get the ball rolling, some minor issues.
HTC EVO 3D
1- Flashlight (minor)
I do not see the flashlight application anymore in my app drawer. It has also been verified that on the original software version, this is not on the device. Why was it taken out?
(The flashlight is floating around here on XDA to get this resolved by ourselves)
2- HTC battery widget was available on the HTC EVO 4g ... why is it missing on the 3d?
3- Animation settings have been set to all in display settings BUT when i manually shut screen off with power button, it just goes black. No more of that cool retro TV off animation. That went away after the system updates on the phone.
4- Still looking for explanation on this HTC TIP

how would u add additional icons to that bottom tab like the tip states that u can?
NOW For the main reason why everyone should contact HTC
HTC’s CEO, Peter Chou has confirmed in a quote from the HTC facebook page that they will no longer be locking the bootloaders on their devices. The bootloader is still locked on the HTC EVO 3d, can u please provide an update on when that will no longer be locked? Myself and many others are using that as a determining factor if we are going to return the device.

Bluetooth Audio Quality, EVO 3D

I couldn't find another thread but i have noticed this in all the htc evo 3d roms / stock roms... i have the same headset on a motorola photon and never get this problem. the bluetooth quality when playing music is terrible, there is a "screeching " sound to every bit of noise unless the volume is super low... i never had tinnitus before but i believe this is what may have caused it, i didn't realize it until it was too late, thanks HTC now you can add another person to your class action lawsuit... whatever. don't know where to post this but i'll post it here
No issues with my bluetooth audio on my EVO 3D
I use Bluetooth audio off my Evo 3D everyday at home and at work and never experienced any issues as you are describing. At home I use the Soundfreaq SFQ-1 and at work I use Philips AS140 and both have full rich sound with no screeching when connected via Bluetooth. However, I have seen issues where not all Bluetooth devices work with every phone... I think it might be incompatibility with your particular Bluetooth headset and the EVO 3D.
I use blue tooth for all my music in my car using the head unit below. I was actually surprised at how amazing it sounds. Maybe the issue is with the device you are connected to? I made sure to get a head unit with the parrot blue tooth module.

The bluetooth stack on Sence has always been terrible since day one going all the way back to the Hero.
Using different roms seems to have a pretty big effect on bluetooth audio.
Try zr3d 3.0 gt rom by dropzero c. aftyer establishing a bluetooth connection, start playing some music from the music apk, then go menu, sound enhancer, enable BEATS. you will never go back!

Do not disturb/Blocking Mode?

I haven't been messing around with a HTC Device since 4.0.4 on the OneX and I wasn't sure if HTC ever added a Do Not Disturb/Blocking Mode to sense 4+ or this latest version of sense.
Does anybody who has a One (or can go play with one) know if there is such a mode?
Thanks!
Just bought mine yesterday. Prior Inspire 4G user. Now, the One has the ability to add numbers to a blocking list if that is what you mean.
If not, let me know and I'll keep looking.
I am sure what he means (and what I want to know too) is if it has a "Do not Disturb" option like the iPhone has. Where you can set it to ON and then tweak the settings. For example, I have my iPhone on Do Not Disturb and the settings are 11:30PM to 7 AM so no messages/calls/etc make no sound in that time frame. I played with the One a bit, but did not find such feature. I am sure a ROM does have it or there must be a way to get it. This being my first Android, I have not figured it out yet.
Oh, I know what you mean. Stock androids don't have that. But every ROM I flashed on my Inspire did. Of course it was rooted. I may root this one in a couple of weeks though.

I know aosp roms (Like CM10.1) have a feature called quiet hours. You might want to look into that.
Check out the app called seer in the play store. It's what I use. I used dnd on my lg Optimus G. I missed having it.
There's nothing built-in.
I'm using tasker for this. If I'm charging at night, I turn auto sync off to stop checking for notifications while still allowing calls.
it's built into htc sense 5.5

filter unknown callers

My Pixel 1 running the latest stock ota Pie build (pq3a.190801.002) apparently still has no way to filter unknown callers by default. Seems like this should just be a basic feature built into phones at this point. And I assume newer Pixel models don't have it either, since the software is basically all the same. Since "DND" is just a glorified silent mode, that means every spam call interrupts music (which I normally have going 10-12 hours out of the day). Sheesh. I appreciate my Pixel phone because using it means I don't have to trust yet another phone company with primary communications device. Since I want to maintain a trusted boot environment, my only option seems to be... trusting a third party app to block unknown callers. Now I just have to find one that won't violate my privacy. FML:

I found exactly one app [1] that required purchase, and then found out that it is no longer developed and doesn't work anymore after purchasing it. Cool. I've looked at half a dozen others and they all have invasive "features" such as automatic lookups for everyone that calls me. This guarantees they are sending information about every call I receive back to themselves to process this. Cool.
At this point I'm starting to assume my best option is to give up and buy an old flip phone.

I totally forgot about Tasker. I think I've fixed this with a simple profile:

Ooh, thanks for the solution. I've put it on my wishlist to think about it before pulling the trigger to buy it. I get at least one spam call a day. And spam text like every week. I hate it. How's the app doing for you? Still no more spam calls?
