[MOD][14JAN]MultiROM v19a for HTC One // Unofficial port // FIXED RECOVERY UI // - One (M7) Original Android Development

Introduction
First time,I want to say THANKS !!!! to @Tasssadar because he's the creator and he helped me a lot !!!MultiROM is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod for HTC One (international). It can boot any Android ROM as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch, once they are ported to that device. Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiROM can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiROM is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. You can see how it looks on the left image below and in gallery. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android ROMs and MultiROM even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.
Features:
* Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
* Restore nandroid backup as secondary ROM
* Boot from USB drive attached via OTG cable

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCYh14Zwl3s You can also watch a video which shows it in action.
Warning!
It _is_ dangerous. This whole thing is basically one giant hack - none of these systems are made with multibooting in mind. It is no longer messing with data partition or boot sector, but it is possible that something goes wrong and you will have to flash factory images again. Make backups. Always.

Installation
Note 1: Your device must not be encrypted (hint: if you don't know what it is, then it is not encrypted).
MultiROM has 3 parts you need to install:
[*]MultiROM (multirom-YYYYMMDD-vXX-m7ul.zip) - download the ZIP file from second post and flash it in recovery.
[*]Modified recovery (TWRP_multirom_m7ul_YYYYMMDD.img) - download the IMG file from second post and use fastboot or Flashify app to flash it.
[*]Patched kernel - You can use either one of the stock ones in second post or third-party kernels which include the patch, you can see list in the second post. Download the ZIP file and flash it in recovery.

You current rom will not be erased by the installation.

Adding ROMs
1. Android
Go to recovery, select Advanced -> MultiROM -> Add ROM. Select the ROM's zip file and confirm
Click to collapse
2. Other Systems
Unfortunately, no other systems are available as of now. But, MultiROM _theoreticaly_ supports them - the principle should be the same as on grouper, we just need the systems. That's why the options in "Add ROM" menu in recovery are there, but do not flash systems for old Nexus 7 (grouper)!

Updating/changing ROMs
1. Primary ROM (Internal)
Flash ROM's ZIP file as usual, do factory reset if needed (it won't erase secondary ROMs)
Go to Advanced -> MultiROM in recovery and do Inject curr. boot sector.
Click to collapse
2. Secondary Android ROMs
If you want to change the ROM, delete it and add new one. To update ROM, follow these steps:
Go to Advanced -> MultiROM -> List ROMs and select the ROM you want to update.
Select "Flash ZIP" and flash ROM's ZIP file.

Wait, this is just for the International HTC One ?.

I've just installed the MultiROM modded recovery, but on my HTC One, the resolution is wrong. The recovery cuts off at the right side, so the back button in TWRP is almost completely off-screen and the second column of icons is more or less right-justified. This is a big problem when naming backups, for example, because the keyboard is also cut off and the rightmost keys are beyond the screen's margin. Currently making a backup, so I'll test the actual MultiROM functionality soon.

Sounds like a great idea. Not a big fan of Sense and no kernel for the latest GP ROM so gonna keep an eye on the development of this goodie.

I try it and dont work. I think it was a kernel issue. Your Kernel dont work with EragonRC4.
My first rom is EragonRC4 (Sense based).
First I install EragonRC4 than I Flash your Recovery than your kernel and your multirom.zip. After that I boot up Eragon and wifi is gone

Known issues
- minor: screen capture is not working.
- minor: poweroff from recovery when usb is connected reboots into recovery, however, offline charging from rom is fine
The Note 3 version seems good, so I do not expect many issues here
Please test:
- mount USB storage on PC
- USB OTG mount and format to exfat/ext4 for testing
- Backup to exfat sdcard or USB OTG

Take your time, Phil. :good:
Today I had hardbricked my tablet.
I had been trying to develop a new root variant for P605.
TWRP seems also slightly buggy. After a full wipe my tablet died.

Good luck in RMA also
Can't wait for this to work properly either.. TWRP seems to stop me from flashing a pre-rooted ROM, kind of a must for a worthy ROM imho..
Hoping this will flash

Version 6.04.3 Alpha
http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=29981#files
This is a repack around a pure stock ramdisk, like I used to do with Samsung devices.
They often work better this way to start with
It could have some selinux issues, but those we fix later, once we get it boot into gui
State was moved to Alpha to reflect it is early debugging and untested
Noobs should stay away for now
I love you man!!!!
Thanks for your great work, to my, one of the best recovery.

Introduction
I'm basically just curious and willing to learn, and fill in the gap when there is a gap (eg no one compiling a custom ROM/kernel for a device, and sources/device-tree/kernel are available, I'll try to do it)
I try to post steps/sources so that other people can learn/follow as well.
If someone wants to take over compiling this ROM, go ahead.
If I don't update the build for a long time, PM me to remind me.

last I tried multi-window (on another device), i believe each "side" of the split-screen is "standalone"
(i.e. you have google maps on the left side of the screen, gmail on right. If you try to click on a hyperlink on google maps, chrome (or whatever your default browser is) will open up on the left replacing google maps)
wonder if it's possible to open chrome up on the right, so you get "better" multi-window/multi-tasking because your original app and "newly launched" apps are running side by side

What were you running before updating?
I know it lists what you must have before installing but how did you do it?

i don't own a LG G Pad
as long as you already have a custom recovery installed (which requires initial root), and have a nandroid backup on the device itself AND on your computer, you should be fine
ask the other people who've already flashed it
I'm using almost the same device tree from CM11 (only need to convert the CM file structure-> omni file structure, no other changes), so there shouldn't be any unexpected surprises when you flash the ROM
I flashed this Last night and did flash the super user zip but I still diff not have root doff I miss a step?

which package did you use?
http://docs.omnirom.org/Installing_Omni_on_your_device
Omni devs recommend Chainfire SuperSU
I stupidly did not flash St along with the multi window version and gapps. Now I can't get SU to work from the playstore. It says it needs to update binary but fails when it tries. I assume I need to flash the SU zip from my twrp recovery?
Anyone know how to get into recovery without root access? I was using a app that only works with root.

One thing I'm wondering. Is really flashing supersu through twrp sufficient to gain root? I've only hooked up my devices to run batch scripts in order to gain root so the idea of gaining root merely through flashing a zip is new to me.

TWRP should also warn you when you reboot TWRP after flashing a ROM without SuperSU...
Flashing the root update.zip will gain root.... TWRP/adb/fastboot is a lot easier than running batch scripts that use exploits (unless you are stock without TWRP, and you need exploit like Towelroot to intially root)

If I understand correctly, the difference between True Dual Boot and the normal Dual Boot that comes stock is that stock allows only the same firmware to be installed in both partitions, while TDB lets you have, say, MIUI in System1 and AOSP-based ROM in System2.
Is that correct?

Yup.
The other difference is that both the systems have a common data partition before the tdb
@arnabbiswasalsodeep
Does enabling this features wipes data??
That depends
If you choose to wipe data then it will wipe it
I moved my data
But beware! Once enabled then disabling it might cause some problems (you should have the same os installed on both systems)

Just install super su from playstore and then go to security>permissions>root permissions

MULTIROM ...need tester!

Hi guys.... i need tester for the Multirom port. If someone is interested pls reply here. Tnx. ( The files are ready )
Need to be on a stock or stock based rom!
Darn I was like MULTIROM!!!!! I'll test!!! Then you said stock or stock based ROM, I'm not on one of those, I'm on VanirAOSP. So if you need a tester for someone on AOSP, I'm open for it.

I can backup my VanirAOSP, flash skydragon, then your kernel, then the multirom, then have my Vanir backup as a secondary. So yea I can test for ya.

I'm off this week, and have plenty of time to test this for you. Currently fixed on stock based roms.
I can test as well. Currently on skydragon Rom and kernel
okay so like I was just looking to see if there was a multi rom thread or a request and become the first begger. and I'm like Dam, it's almost here! I have no problems with a tot or kdz on the phone.... so feel free to pm a link and I'll test it out. pretty please? I used to have a droid bionic with safestrap and I miss it. With all these roms to try out and test who could say no.
I'm on skydragon 2.01 with 12b but do a cm12 nightly every so often to see where their at. I've tried Jasmine, cm11 and a few others. With the 24gb internal this should be fun. (safestrap only allowed use of internal memory and I'm assuming the same here)
I'm game

I know that multirom needs stock Rom and kernel for the primary Rom but can you have aosp as secondary?

Moto G6 Play [Jeter][Aljeter] JeterPie [ROM] Updated 3.5.2020

Hello!
This ROM is for devices Jeter (Xt1922-7) & *NEW* Aljeter (Xt1922-5) and is based on our most current Pie security patches. For Jeter that is PCP29.118-67 and for Aljeter that is PPP29.55-35-18. Please do not flash these ROM's if you are not on this security patch currently whether it is by updating OTA or otherwise or on a device not listed. If you do, you may face unexpected results and I will not be able to help you. Flash at your own risk.
How to Flash:
Boot into TWRP and make a full backup first!
1.Place ROM on your external SD card and do a full wipe except external SD Card.
2.Flash ROM. Magisk is included with my Custom *modified builds and will flash with the ROM. Download the latest magisk manager.apk from the Play Store or XDA to use root features.
3.Flash DM verity+Force Encrytion disabler patch and if desired, Permissive SEpolicy patcher.
4.Go back to wipe section of twrp and format data by typing YES when prompted.
5.Reboot and ENJOY!
If a problem arises, I may need you to replicate it and upload a log.
ROM FEATURES:
Root via Magisk with safetynet passing with Magisk Hide.
Su.d Support
Busybox
SQlite Support
Zipaligned
Debloated
TWRP flashable zip
Please download and get back to me with the results. There are TWO VERSIONS for each device, one is a completely untouched and unrooted Stock ROM for new users or those who went too far modding and need to start fresh and the other IS rooted and has the features I listed above. Thank you for testing and your feedback.

I have no idea, I might try this ROM out, it looks fun. I've currently got mine on stock. Do you recommend clean flashing or dirty flashing the rom? Never mind, read through the post. Problem: I have no external storage. I generally use the TWRP and encrypted data fix by @skullkid383 to have access to my storage.

If you can link me to the fix I can incorporate it into the next build provided I am granted permission to do so
No probs, it was posted in the wrong section (as it was original development, not a guide) https://forum.xda-developers.com/g6-play/how-to/updated-g6-play-jeter-twrp-decrypt-guide-t3886165
---------- Post added at 07:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:47 PM ----------
I am, actually, wondering if I could try to install it in a way I'm used to, (wipe everything except internal storage, flash, install the encryption fix). I'll provide feedback on success or failure.

Excellent. Thank you for your help ?
A quick question, is this was built via a kitchen? If so, which kitchen did you use? I've not had much luck with using my go to while messing with making my own ROMs.

Encrypted data fix? None of the TWRP builds can decrypt data. The fix is to unencrypt your data partition. Is that what you're talking about? A zip that disables forced encryption? That's not really an encryption fix, it's removing forced encryption.
I will wait until this rom is made on 9.0 Stock before I start testing it as I've recently updated my Boost Mobile Jeter to 9.0

I have a 9.0 ROM available for testing as of this morning
Lemme get in on this. I can take a log, been fooling with ROMs for a long time, not like I used to, but I got a new job with ample free time to burn up

Thanks, I'll add that in and upload a new version shortly.
Edit: @madbat99 The ROM is using the same apns.conf currently so Virgin should already be supported. I compared them in Meld and they are identical. Is your LTE not working?

I figured it was in there if you used the stock one. Should be Sprint, Virgin, and Boost.
