Mod to add volume rocker? - HTC Rezound

I like the stock rootedvroom. Is there a mod i can flash to add the volume rocker to change sonhs. Also i would like the messegin screen background black. Thanka
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app

These questions all pertain to what ROM you are on which you didn't specify
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app

Stock ics latest update. With 2.28 hboot and radios flashed. I dont wanna do roms anymore because of battery drain. No matter what i tried it would never beat the stock builds and kernals. I just want a mod to flash to have volume rocker
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app

Not possible with stock ICS sense ROM currently that I know of...only with non stock and nodded ROMs...you can have a sense ROM with this mod lime viper rez for example....just not stock as that's a build tree input as for battery drain you may of done something improperly...I'm on a 4.3 ROM and get about 11 hours on stock battery
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app

Im doin everything right when i clean flash 4.3 roms. But like i said, i listen to music allday at work and only get 6 hours on 4.3. And get 10 on stock? All say apps downloaded, im tellin u i think its those kernals that are power hungry no wonder there snappy and slick cause there usin too much power and demand on the cpu. Ive tried govners and everything.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app

Not the kernel....its actually faster because its using less resources and bs than sense or prior roms...good example...sense rom can bee over 400mb and bloaded with unnecessary things where as a 4.3 rom only uses 175mb on average...did you read up on wakelocks at all...also what hboot and radios are you on...that can also play a big factor in battery drain...again on stock battery I get 11 hours
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app

Yes i downloaded disable, got rid of all wake locks(location and exchange for example), deleted apps even further, hboot 2.28 with the radios that came with it, u get 11 hours with headphones playin on full volume? Doubt that. I just read the trayon 4.3 rom by iamtheoneneo or whatevet its called, he said hes gettin great battery life??

I dont see music. U kno im playin music once i take it off charge right? Music plays constantly while im at work. The.music drains the battery wayyyy to mush on jb. Maybe its apollo?? Ive tried just about everything. I literally watch the percentage drop while using jb. Wheres what i do.... Download jb rom and gapps. Boot to twrp. Install rom. Wipe dalvich cache. Install gapps. Reboot. Pretty straight forward... Any other suggestions? Different kernals for 4.3.?. My favorite rom was the carbon one. But draining too fast man

do you only wipe dalvik and cache? and its in the list if i were to scroll down more as i listened to it maybe for 2 hours while at work..my suggestion is stay stock...some newer jb roms will allow you to stay at 192 min and undervolt max to 1.2ghz and it will still run just fine and use less battery....stock max frequency on sense is 1.5 which drains more...when not in use i toggle unnecessaries off such as wifi and bluetooth and also i clear recents and use fast reboot so apps arent running in background....im pretty anal with my phone and how its setup

Me too dude, i have to have it all clean and clutter free . No i meant to say runn the clean10xromzip. Before installin the rom. Yea im not too worried about havin the black messegin bavkground and blue jellybean color. I do.like the volume rocker the most esecially i can change the song in my pocket if i need. could just be your rezound in particular too as some rezounds are very different and some have errors and some dont with same setup...i just played apollo on 4.3 for 20 mins through speaker and only lost 1 percent

How often do you use WiFi while streaming at work? I read in the dev thread (R&D) WiFi turned on drains battery in 4.3 right now.
Have you tried a 4.2.2 ROM like infection? I would get near same battery life as I do now on 4.3

Lag

My phone is lagging really bad, any idea on how to stop it?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA
We're going to need more info.
What exactly is lagging? The phone in general or your keyboard?
Are you running stock? Or on a ROM?
Does this persist after you restart? Or have you had your phone on for months straight?
Are you running a bunch of Apps/Widgets? How much free space memory and RAM do you have?
My bros x2 lags. Its gotta be the blur...

Not necessarily. I can get cm7 to lag. I imagine the lag is caused by too many processes at one time.

It's really darn hard to brick this thing and flashing is easy.
I'll lay it out like you want to flash Cm7 and you are the 2.3.4 kernel
Root your device
Download Bootstrap recovery (fyi:clockwork recovery and Bootstrap recovery are the same thing)
Install Bootstrap recovery from whatever file manager you use
Get the Cm7 rom, Google apps zip and Cm7 recovery from the Cm7 thread in development and place them on your EXTERNAL sd card
Start Bootstrap (it'll appear as System recovery on your phone)
Wipe Data, cache and Dalvik (Advanced>Dalvik chache)
Then, install zip>choose zip from sd card (now here is where you're supposed to flash the zips from the Cm7 in a particular order. Refer back to that thread as I cannot remember what order it is)
Once you've flashed everything, go back to the first menu and reboot your system.
Also learn how to do a nandroid. Long, and sad stories short it saves assess.

I have used both Eclipse and CM7 on my DX2 for extended periods and I prefer CM7 simply because of how fast it transitions. If you want a lag free phone, go with that.
Follow what thelowend said above, flashing ROM's is really easy. Just read carefully and follow directions and you will be fine

your post here and in the other thread suggest that your battery is just losing its ability to hold charge. wiping stats might pretend that it's fully charged, but you're not going to get optimal charge on an old battery. you can pick up extras for cheap.

I bought some cheap batteries (believe it was a pack of two) for about $20 and they were terrible. They wouldn't hold a charge for longer than 2 hours.

Re: [ROM] 07-22-2012 JELLYBLUR V1.2 CM7.2 - SPJESTER Production
Media volume appears to be jacked up on this ROM. When turning my volume down 3 notches, it almost goes silent. Did I miss a fix in the settings? Sorry to post this under the "Random Q&A" section but it appears that XDA micromanages harder than my boss. Thus, I can't communicate with the actual dev. Yes, I've searched this site as well as Rootzwiki, but have not found an answer. Thanks for your time!

I do like how it gets quiet quickly, however it kind of defeats the purpose if it goes silent before you get to the bottom of your media volume. I think whatever it is it's also influencing the peak volume. Don't get me wrong, I've said it before and I'll say it again: by far the most reliable ROM I've run to date on my Bolt. Thanks for all the time you're investing!

I hope this isn't too late to be noticed/I certainly don't want to add to the trouble you've gone to Jester, but I noticed a force close under menu/settings/sound/volume. Not a big deal, just wanted to bring it to your attention since I didn't see it mentioned on the main thread. Thanks for everything you're doing for the community!
Since I can't post in the dev section, just wanted to say thanks again Jester! 1.3 is fantastic so far! One of the most responsive roms I've ran yet. No problem. I wasn't trying to call you out, just confused. To answer your question, it looks like you may have to patch the ROM yourself to make it compatible. This recent version had fixed compatibility issues with a few ROMs, but since Jester's is new I doubt it includes his ROM (even though it's CM based, there are going to be differences). See the screenshot below or visit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357056
Then again, I could be completely off base...

The baked in Battery Calibration app will do it for you, but it's recommended to barge to 100% before callibrating. You can also clear battery stats through recovery where you would clear your dalvik. There should be an option to clear battery stats.

Stuck at HTC boot screen with Santod's ICS Rom

Hello everybody. I'm trying to flash the Santod's version of ICS OTA Rom and Im stuck at the HTC boot up white screen I tried the odex version (556.4MB) and the debloat version (376.8MB) and with none of them have any luck I cant get passed beyond the bootup screen. I'm using 4EXT recovery to flash the Roms I also updated the Radios with the OTA ICS radios. Does anybody is facing same problem?
He posted a file to flash if you was caught in a boot loop. Might want to head over to that thread.

Correct, I posted a flashable zip to apply to either Odex rom.
I am in the process of uploading complete Odex roms, so no patch file is needed.
Thanks I will try that

I like the ROM very much but the speed was the deal breaker. Is there any way to speed things up?

i usually do a factory reset anytime i flash something new. when i search the world wide web it seems that people generally post about having better battery life in ics but i dunno. when i used JB i got better battery life after i nailed down a couple of wakelocks but still no comparison to ics. so now that we know results can vary, seems like a worthy experiment for op.

4.0 is probably better on everything, cause its older, better battery too. But not as many bells and whistles. A lot of the lag can be eliminated just by disabling ripple effect on lock screen. The remaining with Trickster. I know you don't like to read too much, but if you went to p355 - 378 in Padawan thread, all lag issues (for most) disappeared. My phone never ran better. I've gotten comfortable with bells and whistles though. Stock is very bland for me now.

Sounds like modem issue. Try flashing a separate modem on top of. Don't know what other 2 ROMs you flashed? Not sure what the effect would be, but Padawan doesn't need gapps.
But I would check modem
