Re: [ROM] 07-22-2012 JELLYBLUR V1.2 CM7.2 - SPJESTER Production
Media volume appears to be jacked up on this ROM. When turning my volume down 3 notches, it almost goes silent. Did I miss a fix in the settings? Sorry to post this under the "Random Q&A" section but it appears that XDA micromanages harder than my boss. Thus, I can't communicate with the actual dev. Yes, I've searched this site as well as Rootzwiki, but have not found an answer. Thanks for your time!

I am going to try tirmat 1.4 kernal instead 1.5 tomorrow. I heard its better.. (xda 10 post sucks ..before you can post in dev section) so far this rom has little hick-ups but good.. try next time to add gapps in the d/l (like liquid ics) might be easier..

Its not kernel related im not sure wat it is. I like that it goes quiet quiclly and loud fast honestly lol idk why its being weird tho but im working on it trust me

I do like how it gets quiet quickly, however it kind of defeats the purpose if it goes silent before you get to the bottom of your media volume. I think whatever it is it's also influencing the peak volume. Don't get me wrong, I've said it before and I'll say it again: by far the most reliable ROM I've run to date on my Bolt. Thanks for all the time you're investing!

This is the only place I can replay but great build dev. I can't post the picture but I got 1day and 8min off this rom. I just put it back on charger for 30 min total maybe.. I drop it to 3g at work and bump it back to 4g at lunch and I break.. can't wait till the new build ..

I hope this isn't too late to be noticed/I certainly don't want to add to the trouble you've gone to Jester, but I noticed a force close under menu/settings/sound/volume. Not a big deal, just wanted to bring it to your attention since I didn't see it mentioned on the main thread. Thanks for everything you're doing for the community!

Since I can't post in the dev section, just wanted to say thanks again Jester! 1.3 is fantastic so far! One of the most responsive roms I've ran yet. Only one question / issue so far - I ran the PDroid patch this morning, but when I flash it my bolt freezes on the boot animation. Anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT: Changed "period" to "PDroid"

Dang, man! This ROM just keeps getting better. I miss the Jelly toolkit for the prop modder, but fortunately ROM Toolbox has one built in so no deal-breaker. I gotta say, you are very dedicated and responsive to fixing issues. Thanks again for all you time!

Yea, I cleared the Dalvik and Cache - just tried it again and I got the same freezing. Also, unrelated, on this rom mlb at bat won't let me watch games. It works on any sense roms, but it can't find my location. Did the gps fix and I get a lock within 2 seconds. Otherwise no issues since flashing!

No problem. I wasn't trying to call you out, just confused. To answer your question, it looks like you may have to patch the ROM yourself to make it compatible. This recent version had fixed compatibility issues with a few ROMs, but since Jester's is new I doubt it includes his ROM (even though it's CM based, there are going to be differences). See the screenshot below or visit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357056
Then again, I could be completely off base...

Where would I clear battery stats. I tried to do a battery calibration but wont even let me charge to 100%

The baked in Battery Calibration app will do it for you, but it's recommended to barge to 100% before callibrating. You can also clear battery stats through recovery where you would clear your dalvik. There should be an option to clear battery stats.

Words with Friends and CM9

So I'm throwing this out there as its kinda driving me crazy, though I kinda know what the answer will be.
I play words with friends have done for a few months now, 2 weeks ago I flashed my Samsung GS2 with CM9 build 01062012 thinking It wasn't going to be stable enough to run as a daily I was shocked at how smooth it was etc.
I've now been using it as a daily and will continue to use it, will just re-flash it when bugs get fixed etc.
Now back to WWF, so I installed this and played it, it seems every other go it freezes my phone, to the point only battery removal will solve it.
I emailed the dev for the game and they said bug fixes were coming, I've had 2 updates in a week and each time it solves it for about a day then goes back to freezing my phone.
The weird part of this is when it freezes I hold power down for 10 secs and it turns off I reboot and once back on, the battery would've lost like 15/20% charge, I had to do this 4 times within an hour the once and my battery went from 80% to 13% just cos of rebooting . Then even more weirdly after deciding not to play the game my phone's charge went from 13% to 20% over a half hour period
Has anyone encountered weird behaviors like this before?
I know that this is a testing ROM would this cause this issue?
Yeah man, I play that **** too and had the exact same problem. I just put it down to cm,9 being an alpha. Sorry I've got no fixes but your not going mad. Ha
I just play it on the iPad instead until the rom becomes more stable.

Charge LED goes green(from orange) at 90% instead of 100% (rommed phone)

Does anyone know why (or how to fix) my phone turning the green LED light on at 90% charge instead of waiting for 100% ?
My rom is Thundershed v1.6. However I have used other various roms and had the same problem.
The only rom that has not had this issue was a Sense rom. I have tried to calibrate the battery but it didnt fix it. Is this just a quirk of not using a sense rom or is there some way to fix this?
Thanks for any help!! :cyclops:

I'm on a build from 2 nights ago but the sound profile seems finicky. Like it will show the icon n status bar that its on silent. But a notification will sound, then I can use the volume hardware buttons and see that the ringers way up, but if I turn it back down and LA with it a bit it gets right.
Also, with the play store when I am doing what I call rapid fire downloading, which is scrolling through "my apps" and installing one after the other, is rare but after about 12 apps sometimes the play store will just force close to the home screen. But then I can open it and it loads up fresh and works fine.

Not possible with stock ICS sense ROM currently that I know of...only with non stock and nodded ROMs...you can have a sense ROM with this mod lime viper rez for example....just not stock as that's a build tree input as for battery drain you may of done something improperly...I'm on a 4.3 ROM and get about 11 hours on stock battery
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app
Im doin everything right when i clean flash 4.3 roms. But like i said, i listen to music allday at work and only get 6 hours on 4.3. And get 10 on stock? Ive tried govners and everything.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Not the kernel....its actually faster because its using less resources and bs than sense or prior roms...good example...sense rom can bee over 400mb and bloaded with unnecessary things where as a 4.3 rom only uses 175mb on average...did you read up on wakelocks at all...also what hboot and radios are you on...that can also play a big factor in battery drain...again on stock battery I get 11 hours
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app
Yes i downloaded disable, got rid of all wake locks(location and exchange for example), deleted apps even further, hboot 2.28 with the radios that came with it, u get 11 hours with headphones playin on full volume? do you only wipe dalvik and cache? and its in the list if i were to scroll down more as i listened to it maybe for 2 hours while at work..my suggestion is stay stock...some newer jb roms will allow you to stay at 192 min and undervolt max to 1.2ghz and it will still run just fine and use less battery....stock max frequency on sense is 1.5 which drains more...when not in use i toggle unnecessaries off such as wifi and bluetooth and also i clear recents and use fast reboot so apps arent running in background....im pretty anal with my phone and how its setup

could just be your rezound in particular too as some rezounds are very different and some have errors and some dont with same setup...i just played apollo on 4.3 for 20 mins through speaker and only lost 1 percent
See if i was on any of those 4.3 roms my battery would have been dead 3 hours ago

How often do you use WiFi while streaming at work? I read in the dev thread (R&D) WiFi turned on drains battery in 4.3 right now.
Have you tried a 4.2.2 ROM like infection? I would get near same battery life as I do now on 4.3
