Gameklip! - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

Hello!, this device is so powerful, and i love it!
The only thing i need is a gameklip for the note 3, anyone know if they will make it for it or i can buy a standard gameklip and a cheap easy on/off cover?

I got a spigen ultrafit hard case to use with my universal gameklip. Tpu flexes too much as I found on the note 2.
Not sure if they will make a device specific model, but the universal will last you through many more phones to come.

How does GameKlip with a PS3 controller compare to the Moga controller?

Moga is easier but ps3 and sixaxis is more versatile. Plus the ps3 control feels better in terms of button click etc. Less cheap

The Moga Pro isn't that bad at all, much better than the original Moga controller. I've had the original and hated the dpad/joystick. Now I have he Pro version and controller wise it's just fine. I don't use it much so I can't comment on compatibility. It worked fine for me when I played games on the S4 and easier to setup the phone. When I used the original Gameklip, I always felt like I was going to break it when I was trying to take it off the controller.

ps3 controllers are so cheap in Denmark, so i'll just buy one JUST for phone gaming.

Any case will work. Just an FYI for those considering this.
I'm using a TPU case and it works great. I used a hard case with my Note 2. I had an extra Note 3 TPU case so I tried it before buying a hard case. I'm glad that I did too! I actually prefer the TPU case over a hard case!!

I'm just the opposite. I had a TPU for my note 2, but I prefer a hard case. I know one guy in the note 2 forums that just used an extra back cover instead of a case. Seems like that would be a pain to remove all the time though.

sorry to bump this post up.
so you attach the gameklip to the casing and then take the phone in and out of the case whenever you use it to play games?

Exactly. I got rid of my note3 after trying the nexus 5 but I just attached a nexus 5 case to the gameklip and use that now.

hmm. so did you use any casing for your note3/nexus5 for daily use?
was wondering if the constant taking in and out will damage the cases :/
hmm where did you get the Gameklip? (US only?)

Buy.thegameklip.com
I switch out cases at least once a day without using the gameklip. I have several for the nexus 5. No damage to the cases or the phone. You get the cheapest soft tpu case and use that if it worries you.

Can someone please show me which particular ps3 remote I need?

Standard PS3 dualshock works great.
I need to get a case for my N3 so I can get it set up. It's got an N2 case stuck to it now... wonder if I can stuff it in there....

If you don't want to take your phone in and out of a case everytime you want to use your gameklip, just attached a universal mount to the gameklip.
I'm going to attach the AmazonBasics Universal Windshield and Dash Mount to the gameklip so i can use any case on my phone and it can hold a tablet up to 10 inches.

I just wanna add that you should make sure it's an official Sony PS3 controller, as the Sixaxis app states that generic PS3 controllers are NOT guaranteed to work! I'm now waiting for the Sixaxis app to get an update so that the PS4 controller will work.

Kindle DX Cases for GTablet

Someone posted in the huge @ss thread that they thought the Kindle DX was about the same size as the GTablet.
I went ahead and ordered this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Kindle-DX-Leath...&otn=4&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=5004332251969071237
I'm happy with it so far, the DX is about half and inch wider, height is okay, so it can slide around a bit. I put some stick on velcro on the case and on the GTab, it isn't going anywhere now. I think I'm going to have to use superglue for the velcro on the case though, it's felt lined so it won't stick on for long. The only thing is the top elastic band is close to the power button, maybe Roebeet's electrical tape solution is in order.
UPDATE: Oh, well my fake pleather case has ding in the edge now. Maybe I need to get some of that liquid leather. ;P Happy with the sizing, just need to find something more durable. Maybe I'll use some of that new fangled electrical tape I hear is the new duct tape.
Electrical tape is the new duct tape:

I need to do something like that, was thinking of a little piece of sticky backed foam, like 1/4 ince or so, think I have some perfect for that around here somewhere.
Hitting that power button is way to easy to do, need to mod the physical keys on the side somehow also, lol.
I found an iPad case on amazon for $14.95 that has good potential. go to amazon and search for "Acase Leather Flip Book Jacket/folio for Apple Ipad 3g Tablet/wifi Model 16gb, 32gb, 64gb (Black)" in Electroincs.

Mike, I'd be careful. I've looked at several ipad cases but the gtab is taller and not as wide as the ipad. Most I've seen dont fit unless it's a universal case.

Well, I'll let you know how the Acase you listed works... I ordered one last night.

I purchased a Solo Classic iPad/eReader portfolio case from Staples that was around $30.00. The downside is that the power button is covered by one of the soft cloth corner holders, but other than that it has worked fine.
Staples item No 912506
I purchased form fitting leather case for kindle DX from ebay . The G tablet fit amazingly well in it. The only problem is that the upper left strap is blocking the charger plug .
Looks good!! Maybe a hole punch can make your life easier.
I think this one looks promising too: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002QHZ6L8

how tight the elastic band holding the tablet? will it slide out when you carry it around? I am thinking to purchase one right now.

The band was tighter when I first got it (infact it was so tight that it keep randomly turn on my tablet). After a few days it loosen up so the problem resolve itself. I carry it around ,always rushing to class and it feel pretty secure imo.

Yep. Almost all cases for iPad do not work, since the G is wider.
Happy though with my $10 Case logic (like the zip pouch).

Does it have any extra space for tablet+keyboard docked?
this is strictly for carrying the tablet alone, will not fit when docked to the keyboard.
Nice. What about space for USB cable, charger?
just a basic sleeve type case... the cable may fit with a slight bulge [?]
The sleeve is nice but your TXer background is Awesome.
I too think the background is awesome but have no idea where it is from nor what TXer is. Can you enlighten me?
A quick couple of questions for the OP. On the Belkin product page it gives the dimensions of the case as: 8.5 x 1.2 x 7.1inches. I'm assuming this is wrong as obviously the case is meant for up to 10.2" screen size devices, and the transformer is 10.7x0.5x7.1inches. On the amazon site you linked, it shows the dimensions as 11.25 x 8 X .875 which obviously sounds correct. Can you please post the actual measurements of your case? And was the model number of the case you purchased F8N215-BLK or 80-8215 please? Oh and does it feel well made? Thanks in advance.

amazon is correct, 11x8 sounds about right when i've measured mine...
the model# above the barcode reads F8N215-BLK...
it feels as good as how well it fits the tf101... the faux-leather surrounding the case is a nice touch... belkin makes solid products and this case @ $5, you really can't go wrong if this is the type of case you're looking for...

Surely TXer means Transformer?
I went to Fry's to check out the netbook sleeves. And I noticed the Tempe, AZ Fry's has the Targus Netbook Slipskin Peel 10.2 netbook sleeve for only $6.
I can't find the link on frys.com, but here is the same case on Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Neoprene-Slipskin-10-2-Inch-TSS11104US/dp/B002RJQT84
Case is the perfect width (in tablet landscape), but has about an extra inch of room in height. The case feels roomy enough it could hold the tablet and keyboard dock. (no pockets to hold cables though)
Seems like a great deal from at $6 from a brick and mortar store. Just don't know if it's a YMMV type of deal though at other stores since I can't find it on the website.
i'm sure the selection varies by stores... i brought my tfmr with me and i tested out all the ones for the netbooks before ultimately deciding on the one i got... they had quite a few selection, not bad for b&m...
Be warned, the inside of this case is very slick against the tablet. This is now I dropped mine Just be careful when opening it, it'll slip very easily.

don't take my word for it, try it out yourself if you wish... i will be very impressed if it fits with the dock in place... yet, even if it did fit, it will be insanely tight, especially length-wise... thus, i wouldn't want to risk the inner zipper scratching the bezel of the pad/keyboard unit...
i already have an 11.6 zeroshock case, so i will use that when i have it docked and this belkin case for small outings around town and such...

I have no idea about a car dock, I just know that there will not be one available at launch. Until we have one, I would simply recommend finding one for the N7000 which should have the exact same fit and port placement.
Bummer, no Otterbox cases at launch? Both my Inspire and Vivid had them, not sure I'd get a different case...

To be honest I don't really care for the otter boxes. Completely overkill most of the time. Defeats the point of having a thin phone. I'll get a speck case or a case by sgp.

They most likely won't be stocked on the floor until the 19th. But I will personally check our inventory days before then just so I can pick a couple things up for myself. When you do get it on the 17th, it would still be worth checking to see if the AT&T store has it in stock. Just ask!

It's intended for home delivery. Our store will occasionaly set up store-pickup when we do a direct fulfillment if only a PO box is available or something.
As for accessories, I'm not sure if they will be available for direct fulfillment with the purchase of the phone. (they should be... we'll see)
My store will not have the accessories on the floor until the 19th sadly.

If Best Buy is selling the case... Which I have a feeling they won't be.
I'll try to leak photos of the accessories when I can.....
Edit: Pictures up!

I've heard contradicting opinions about this Mugan Power extended battery with kickstand
Some say it'll fit AT&T Note, some say NFC is located on the back cover of AT&T Note and if you use that Mugan product, designed for international version without NFC you'll lose NFC capabilities. Can you clear the air for us?

Using any case at all weakens the NFC. To my understanding the NFC portion is attached to the battery but I'll have to take a look again to confirm.
It shouldn't matter too much though, as it stands there aren't too many uses for NFC until we can get things like Google wallet working in the future.
I'm more concerned about the microphone placement. I emailed a couple accessory manufacturers to confirm that the placement is the same, but that would probably be a better question for Samsung

Samsung cases for tab 2 7&10.1

Samsung EFC-1H8NGECXAR fits Galaxy tab 2 10.1
Samsung EFC-1G5NGECXAR fits Galaxy tab 2 7.0
I saw these online for ~$39.00 and $32.00
.
Looks like a nice case. I wonder if it'll fit with a skin on it.
i got this slip-case, $8 prime, samsung OEM with a little pull-tab to pop it out. good enough for a cheap fix and it fits perfectly.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Protective-Poly-Urethane-Release/dp/B004E9SN52/ref=pd_sim_pc_11
I saw the ROCK Light & Cool case for the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus but afraid to go for it since I'm not sure if it'll fit the GTab 2.
http://www.rockphone.cn/en/products_detail.asp?menuid=81&brandid=35&id=631
I'm looking for a folio case that won't add too much bulk. And something that isn't faux leather. Any suggestions?
update: I've submitted a suggestion for Speck to make a case for the GTab 2
If you could give your support by voting it up or adding to it, I'd appreciate it! Speck GTab 2 7.0 suggestion
I've also contacted TridentCase to see if they have any plans on making any cases for the GTab 2 as well.

Dimensions of the Tab2 7 are basically identical to the Tab 7 plus

if we refer to the dimensions given by gsmarena, 7 plus is thinner that tab2...so in some 7 plus cases, the lid wont close perfectly

If you go to samsung's website and look at the differences between the two, the only difference in size is the thickness, which is .01" different.f
I threw on a vote for the Speck case too but highly doubt we'll see one concidering we can't even get them for the hottest selling mobile phones outside of the iCrap.
Do you guys know of any TPU cases for them? I'd really love to get one of those for my wife's Tab2 7in but have been coming up short. I may try a Tab Plus and just see how it goes but haven't decided yet.
The Rock case looks great too by wonder if its going to fit....

I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount on a case -- so I took the suggestion (not sure where I read it), and ordered this $10 dollar case (no tax + free shipping):
Poetic(TM) Slimbook PU Leather Stand Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 PLUS
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300703718991#ht_2969wt_1163
Thoughts:
Works perfectly! Light, "slim-profile" design, snug fit, solid (firm) construction. The only ports that the case blocks is the mic and the IR (both of which I don't use).

No, it arches the device at two angles with the pic below being the flattest - its quite comfortable assuming you like your tablet in landscape.

Oh, I like that one. Wish I had seen that before I bought this one. Oh well! This one is nice because of the zip top, and it fits it perfectly. However, for the benefit of doubt I wasn't able to use it with a silicone skin.

As I also travel, I figured I would buy these too. They are very sturdy. Only issue is you have to carry them around! HTH.

Inexpensive cases
Hi all, I just ordered my 12.2 Note Pro but won't get it until the end of February (Canada).
But I did order a three inexpense cases from Amazon.com. I notice that there are always insanely inexpensive cases on Amazon when new tablets are released.
Each of these cases was $1.99 plus $5.00 shipping. I couldn't make up my mind which one I wanted so I made the most of the shipping charge (to Canada) and ordered one of each. Hey at 2 bucks why not. I am not worried so much about the quality because I figured that though there are a number of different companies selling tablet cases, most are made at only a couple of factories. So one companies slim case will be the same as the next.
The cases, screen protector and tablet should all arrive around the same time.

I grabbed one when I bought mine, but returned it due to how the tablets sits in the stand portion. Felt like it would damage screen where it rested. Went with the 1 samsung case they had instead. Liking it but it's an expensive case. Haven't found a bluetooth keyboard I like as much, so waiting for logitech like others. Apple magic mouse works well with the tablet.....
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
I ordered these two cases while I wait for the Poetic cases. I liked the looks of the Samsung case I saw at Best Buy, but after dropping so much money on this tablet, I couldn't handle the thought of a $70 case.

If anyone is interested in them, I can report back once I get them. The first one has been shipped. Second one hasn't yet.
Can't wait for the Logitech keyboard case! In the interim, the non-case Logitech keyboard and mouse I have work fine with it. Annoying though to not be able to hit Home with the mouse due to physical button. Might have to install button savior just for that
Oh, also came across this list of screen protectors for the Note Pro:

Found the knockoff Book cover case, I'm guessing it's just like the ones going for 90+ from some sellers on ebay. I like samsung's case but not willing to drop $60 on it this one is 12.99. Ordered will report back later with results

Dupe post
Any keyboard cases, or even non-keyboard, that support the device in portrait mode? (I mean physically provide enough support the tablet won't fall over.) I'm gonna order my tablet on payday, and don't know yet which case I want, tho the Logitech looks good.
