Does it have any extra space for tablet+keyboard docked?

this is strictly for carrying the tablet alone, will not fit when docked to the keyboard.

Nice. What about space for USB cable, charger?

just a basic sleeve type case... the cable may fit with a slight bulge [?]

The sleeve is nice but your TXer background is Awesome.

I too think the background is awesome but have no idea where it is from nor what TXer is. Can you enlighten me?

A quick couple of questions for the OP. On the Belkin product page it gives the dimensions of the case as: 8.5 x 1.2 x 7.1inches. I'm assuming this is wrong as obviously the case is meant for up to 10.2" screen size devices, and the transformer is 10.7x0.5x7.1inches. On the amazon site you linked, it shows the dimensions as 11.25 x 8 X .875 which obviously sounds correct. Can you please post the actual measurements of your case? And was the model number of the case you purchased F8N215-BLK or 80-8215 please? Oh and does it feel well made? Thanks in advance.

amazon is correct, 11x8 sounds about right when i've measured mine...
the model# above the barcode reads F8N215-BLK...
it feels as good as how well it fits the tf101... the faux-leather surrounding the case is a nice touch... belkin makes solid products and this case @ $5, you really can't go wrong if this is the type of case you're looking for...

Actually I wasn't after the wallpaper images but where the image (the girl ) was from. Is it a film? I thought the mention of "TXer" was a reference to a film but couldn't find anything via Google

Thanks for the reply and the info. Yeah there's almost no excuse not to buy one at that price, unfortunately they cost a bit more here. Think i'll still get one though as it's worth it for some protection at least. Cheers.

Surely TXer means Transformer?

I went to Fry's to check out the netbook sleeves. And I noticed the Tempe, AZ Fry's has the Targus Netbook Slipskin Peel 10.2 netbook sleeve for only $6.
I can't find the link on frys.com, but here is the same case on Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Neoprene-Slipskin-10-2-Inch-TSS11104US/dp/B002RJQT84
Case is the perfect width (in tablet landscape), but has about an extra inch of room in height. The case feels roomy enough it could hold the tablet and keyboard dock. (no pockets to hold cables though)
Seems like a great deal from at $6 from a brick and mortar store. Just don't know if it's a YMMV type of deal though at other stores since I can't find it on the website.

i'm sure the selection varies by stores... i brought my tfmr with me and i tested out all the ones for the netbooks before ultimately deciding on the one i got... they had quite a few selection, not bad for b&m...

Be warned, the inside of this case is very slick against the tablet. This is now I dropped mine Just be careful when opening it, it'll slip very easily.

I bought this one and am returning it. It fits fine, but the metal back of the zipper rubs against the metal trim on the TF when you open/close it.

don't take my word for it, try it out yourself if you wish... i will be very impressed if it fits with the dock in place... yet, even if it did fit, it will be insanely tight, especially length-wise... thus, i wouldn't want to risk the inner zipper scratching the bezel of the pad/keyboard unit...
i already have an 11.6 zeroshock case, so i will use that when i have it docked and this belkin case for small outings around town and such...

Kindle DX Cases for GTablet

Someone posted in the huge @ss thread that they thought the Kindle DX was about the same size as the GTablet.
I went ahead and ordered this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Kindle-DX-Leath...&otn=4&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=5004332251969071237
I'm happy with it so far, the DX is about half and inch wider, height is okay, so it can slide around a bit. I put some stick on velcro on the case and on the GTab, it isn't going anywhere now. I think I'm going to have to use superglue for the velcro on the case though, it's felt lined so it won't stick on for long. The only thing is the top elastic band is close to the power button, maybe Roebeet's electrical tape solution is in order.
UPDATE: Oh, well my fake pleather case has ding in the edge now. Maybe I need to get some of that liquid leather. ;P Happy with the sizing, just need to find something more durable. Maybe I'll use some of that new fangled electrical tape I hear is the new duct tape.
Electrical tape is the new duct tape:

I need to do something like that, was thinking of a little piece of sticky backed foam, like 1/4 ince or so, think I have some perfect for that around here somewhere.
Hitting that power button is way to easy to do, need to mod the physical keys on the side somehow also, lol.
I found an iPad case on amazon for $14.95 that has good potential. go to amazon and search for "Acase Leather Flip Book Jacket/folio for Apple Ipad 3g Tablet/wifi Model 16gb, 32gb, 64gb (Black)" in Electroincs.

Mike, I'd be careful. I've looked at several ipad cases but the gtab is taller and not as wide as the ipad. Most I've seen dont fit unless it's a universal case.

Well, I'll let you know how the Acase you listed works... I ordered one last night.

I purchased a Solo Classic iPad/eReader portfolio case from Staples that was around $30.00. The downside is that the power button is covered by one of the soft cloth corner holders, but other than that it has worked fine.
Staples item No 912506
I purchased form fitting leather case for kindle DX from ebay . The G tablet fit amazingly well in it. The only problem is that the upper left strap is blocking the charger plug .
Looks good!! Maybe a hole punch can make your life easier.
I think this one looks promising too: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002QHZ6L8

how tight the elastic band holding the tablet? will it slide out when you carry it around? I am thinking to purchase one right now.

The band was tighter when I first got it (infact it was so tight that it keep randomly turn on my tablet). After a few days it loosen up so the problem resolve itself. I carry it around ,always rushing to class and it feel pretty secure imo.

Yep. Almost all cases for iPad do not work, since the G is wider.
Happy though with my $10 Case logic (like the zip pouch).

G Tablet case that really fits and you can buy lots of places

I've been looking for a good-fitting case for weeks, and have bought a couple that "almost" fit, like the Kindle DX and some Netbook cases. I finally found one made by INIT, Model NT-DV209, that fits perfectly. It's a sleeve style and is evidently made to fit 9" electronics as opposed to the ones that fit 10" but are too big. I bought mine at a local Best Buy but if you google the part number, a lot of places carry it. It's a nice snug fit and doesn't seem to cause my power button to get pressed easily.
I also tried the "official" G Tablet case from Sears which as too wide and turned out to ba a CaseLogic 10" Netbook case.

I love my Targus A7 10.2" Netbook sleeve (TSS109US): comes in a variety of colours - mine is deep purple - fits like a glove and is very well padded inside, with scratch resistant lining over sculpted foam. Just check the product ID code - TSS109US - before you buy because apparently it comes in a range of sizes.
I paid $15 for it at Staples and though I see it listed as $20 on Staples.com right now, a quick Google search shows lots of opportunities to find a deal.
I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
I went looking for the Targus case mentioned above at Staples and found it for $20. I saw they had a couple of other cases too made by Targus that had the same internal dimensions as listed on the tags. I decided to get one of the other ones instead and it seems to fit really well. Thanks for the tip!

Solo lvl106-3 for 9.7 ereaders. I bought mine over at Staples. Amazon has them too. Two elastics and two cloth pockets. Actually 4 elastics to fit different sizes. The image is not exact! mine has four elastics in one corner (opposite the power and volume) and two corner 'pockets' on the other side so anything can fit. You can't easily (or wisely) access your power port and power button is snuggled in the corner pocket thing but it does not push on it and you can just push it without issue. All and all for $25 not bad.

I bought mine at staples but Amazon carries them too although as I pointed out about style difference. Not sure if the image is of another close variant.
That is an interesting idea. I also am leery of using a "jurry rigged" cover for my gTab.

I bought the same one from amazon and i got my tab secured to this case with sticky velcro, now my tab dose not move a bit. with all elastic and soft corner unsecured and with only velcro sticking tab against the case i can even hang my tab upside down safely. Only reason why i bought this sleeve is because of zipper and the soft padding to protect the tab and its screen

Hey thanks for the info.I was also wondering if anyone has tried a Motorola zoom case.It looks kinda close, but wasn't if would work or not.
The xoom is about 2 inches smaller so the cases dont work. I tried to put mine in a friends xoom case
How well does it stay in the notches when in an upright position and being used? I find my CLIP from ElectronicCrap doesn't hold the bottom of the gtablet well enough when it's in an upright position and the screen is being tapped. It drops out of the notch and falls to the bottom position. :-(
Its a very tight/ snug fit. The bottom of the gtab fits onto a pocket that is as wide as the unit. I have no fear of it coming out of this case.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Actually I meant does the tablet stay upright while set in one of the notches, not whether the tablet itself would fall out of the case when in this position. Based on the design I would assume so which is better then the CLIP case does. Just wanted to confirm. Thanks.

Thanks,
Got one!
I went to Best Buy and grabbed one. Price there was $39.99, but the G Tablet fits very nicely. I took some pictures (sorry for the low light).
The Gtab slides in there very snug and secure. The top left strap just falls in between the volume rocker. It's not too bad, you can still adjust vol up & down very easily. And that same strap falls in between the power button and the USB cover. You can stil access it just fine.
I love how the case feels. You can fold back the cover all the way back and just use the tablet straight on, or you can open it and place it in one of the 3 little slots to adjust viewing angle.
I like it, it's very comfortable to sit in bed in and use. The multiple angles allows you to have it on your lap very comfortably.

If you are going to pay that much, why not consider the clip case then, its officially made for the GTab and even allow docking while the tab is inside it.

I can't figure out how can you slide the tab in the dock with the case on. I mean its a "just fit" with only the tablet and dock, so when I tried with my own case the couple of mm's added thickness just made it impossible to dock the tablet.
Can you kindly post a pic with the tab docked while in the case ?
Canadian distributor for clip and targus cases discussed in this thread.
Does anyone know of a shop in Canada that sells either gTab CLIP case, or the Targus truss case for the Iconia?
I'm unable to find these products at staples.ca, futureshop.ca, or thesource.ca, and I don't want to pay a bunch of duty/brokerage/shipping fees getting it here.

I got the targus case too and I am liking it. Yaa it is a little bulky, but it feels well made and fits the gtab gr8! I love the three angles I can prop it. It also has some serious cushioning, making me less nervous about damaging my tab.
Got it from BB for $35 after a 10% off coupon for labor day.
Picked up rooCASE leather folio from Amazon, and it fits pretty well with the exception of the opening for the power button.
I got a handy candy case for the ipad. Great for carrying, I wouldn't mind dropping it a few times in this case. It also has velcro grips that can be adusted for propping the gtab up. Not great but definitely not bad.

REVIEW: MoKo(TM) Premium Quality Slim-Fit Folio Cover Case with built-in Multi-Angle

Just got this in today.
It fits very snug. It is extremely thin and helps show off the Primes own thinness. All ports are fit correctly including the power port. This allows for charging while closed. The clasp on this is magnetic and fits very well. Does not effect sound.
It is EXTREMELY sturdy. The clasps around the Primes screen are very unobtrusive.

Sure, of what part?
To be honest, it looks like the Poetic and Vipertek ones all looked the same. I think they all just buy from China and brand them.

Just ordered this.
The magnetic clasp is to keep the folio closed I assume? Is it sturdy enough to not allow it to "flop open"?
Thanks for the review.

literally the first thing I did was the inverted flop test (SCIENCE!) and I am glad to inform you that there is no floppage. the clasp is minimal and magnetic.

Good deal. Thanks.
Thanks for the info, it is hard to tell from pictures.
You say the clasp is magnetic? I didn't want one that "attached" to the tablet, pulling everytime I opened.
And the side clips don't stick up?
I want minimal, I have the Ipad and the best feature is the magnetic, easy opening on. The worst is no flash and Itunes - ugh.
If these are so, I will order, I'm waiting to check and see if the tf101 case like the Ipad case will work. Its stretchy, velcros closed and very minimal.

its no super-magnet. Its a very small magnet with a small lip providing just enough stick. additionally there is no stitching there so its just a single piece of pleather around the clasp so there is no chance of damage to the top of the TFP.
the clips on the sides are very minimal. they barely protrude to the bezel.
got my poetic case today. it does not have cut out for the charger port. ok for $10 bucks.
i am waiting for case crown to enter the game...

That why I went with MoKo. Charger port being cut out is a huge ease of use feature

that is exactly what they do, they order from 1 manufacturer in a China plant, and once they get an order of 1000, they stamp their logos on to it.
if you look around chinese website, they have the same ones without logos
they're very cheaply made, and i believe they get them in 100's to 1000's for 5-6$ a piece at most
going to stay away from all of these till better U.S quality ones come out
That's crazy. My wife has an iPad 2 with a Targus case that looks exactly like this. What is the build quality? Is it real leather or authentic pleather? =)

The only difference is the charger port. I'd disagree about build quality but then again I have one in hand and you don't.
It's pleather. Sturdy and thin.

Can you do this with that Moko case? (from here: http://www.amazon.com/VIPERTEK-Transformer-Prime-TF201-Black/dp/B006OZTNIK)

the flap on the screen side can go either way. so... yes. looks like the only difference is the Moko is gray on the inside.

Which Poetic case did you get? I ordered this one yesterday from Amazon which looks similar to the MoKo case and seems to have the cut out for the charger port. If not, it's going back to Amazon and I'll order the MoKo version.
Is this case by any chance compatible with the keyboard dock?
Nope.

its funny how you think these are amazing quality type cases & i do have one for a regular transformer
try to look for cases for the ipad 2... look at how many quality builds there are for the ipad. i personally don't have an ipad so dont think for a sec i'm a fan of apple.
also just because they have proper positions for charge port/speaker outputs does not mean this is a good quality. Did you expect them to make a case that blocked all the ports?
Every single poetic/vertek/vipertek are just made out of cheap pleather.
They are good for its price, and i'm stating the fact that, there will be better design/quality cases for the prime in the coming months
Ugggg amazon dosent ship it to Canada any other website that sells this case?

Will this still fit into the dock?

There doesn't appear to be any cutout, from the picture, so unless these are amazingly thin (which would make them somewhat useless for protection), I don't think they'll work with the dock.
But if they're easy to remove and put back on, they'd be suitable to use when the TP is out of the dock.
Has anyone ordered one of these? Just worry 'bout the quality and fit.
I wonder if they protect enough for a fall, has anyone tried this product?
I would actually like to know how is the fit with the prime, i think with such a big skin the long bezel sides won't be well adjusted to the Prime and might be too loose.
Found them in Amazon Germany, but no reviews yet :/

No. Based on the images of the green-colored case on Minisuit's site it's obvious that the TPU is too thick to fit into the dock. This being the case, I would have preferred that they fully cover the 'lock-in' slots on either side of the power connector, so they don't fill up with dust.
It seems like Minisuit had some engineer design it who didn't know what all the holes where for. BUT I'll stop complaining. A silicone case for $7 (shipping included) is great!

It is kind of remarkable that a company would go to the trouble of manufacturing these, but NOT bother to even see what the ports and opening actually do, to intelligently decide whether or not they need a cut-out?!?
Sheesh.
Worth a shot

I got one of those loose ones... pretty disappointed. I'll try this though, 7 bucks shipped is worth a try. I'll let yall know.

These appear to be the exact same skins just in a different color, which means that the center of the back is likely to be a little bit loose, just like with the black cases.
Mine shipped today, estimated arrival of 5/8. I'll keep ya posted.
Blah
It definitely feels like the same case, however this new one I got seems to fit a little better at the back, with less sag. I'm not sure if it was just a manufacturing difference or what. This case still has the same flimsy feel around the bezel.
My suggestion is to keep looking for another thin silicone case, if you want to give this one a shot it might be worth the 8 bucks though. I'm leaving this minisuit one one for now vs the other one I got off ebay.
Still in the market for a thin non-leather silicone type case. If anyone has seen the HP branded case for the Touchpad, that would be a near perfect case imo, with a magnetic closing mechanism or something.
Edit: After a day or so of use with the minisuit case, I feel like it is basically as good as this skin type case can get without a major overhaul. The back isn't sagging like the original one from ebay did, however the edges are still could be a little tighter (This is where the redesign would come in,) but overall its pretty good. I'm still interested in a slightly thicker version of this, it still doesn't add much protection.
For those interested, a company, BobJ Gear, is coming out soon with a very nice, silicone case for the Transformer Prime.
He's already made cases for the Toshiba Thrive, which gets rave reviews on Amazon, where they are sold.
I was lucky enough to receive one of his prototypes.
This is a tight fitting case, made from food grade silicone, very thick to provide excellent protection! Access to all ports are available. One of the photos below shows you a comparison between the cases soon to be released by BobJ Gear (shown in purple) and the case discussed earlier in this thread (the green case, on top). You'll see there's a noticeable difference in the thickness of the case, and the amount of silicone used to make the case.
This adds a little bit of weight, but provides great protection for the Transformer Prime! Case will also work for the T300, and he's planning to release a case for the T700 down the road!
These should be available end of this month.
Here are a few photos.
