Disable Auto Convert SMS to MMS and Save SMS - Galaxy S 4 Mini Themes and Apps

Hi, this mod for I9190UBUAMH1 DEODEXED firmware. Disable SMS to MMS auto convert. Save SMS to Sdcard.
Unrar attachment, use file manager (Esfilemanager vs.) copy system/app and permission rw.r.r and reboot phone

you can also run over odexed firmware, you just to remove SecMms.odex file and reboot your phone.

I tried this work around on the global version of my hobby and did a restart. afterwards the entire messaging application was gone from both the screen and also the applications menu and I could not manage to run it let alone test to see if the auto conversion from SMS to MMS has been disabled or not
Luckily I was wise enough to make a back up of the SecMms.odex file else where before the deletion.

[Q]Help with GingerBlur v2.0 text messaging program[Fixed]

Hey all i just wanted to ask is there any way 2 get the old text messaging program back instead of the one thats installed with this one i liked the stock Antrix one. And i know before u could say yes or no to install it but he changed the install methed and could not do that no more so if any one could help me please do so thanks <3
Well i fixed it i found this

For those like me who need corporate sync and like the blur universal inbox you can install just that portion of the moto bloatware instead of all of it.
** EDIT ** I'm adding a couple more applications now. Please, others jump in to do other applications because I'm out of time working on my Atrix for this week!
** WARNING ** I'm not an android dev and this process has only been tested on my phone. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
There are 3 files attached.
messaging.zip - restores original blur messagine apps, including corporate sync, txt messaging with balloon conversation mode, and the universal inbox. It does not have the messaging widget.
taskman.zip - if you liked moto's Task Manager app, this will restore it for you so you can kill tasks and uninstall like before GB.
gallery.zip - restores the moto Medial Gallery application. Note the GB version of Gallery will still exist and both will work.
Quick instructions:
* You will need CWM Recovery for this
* Follow CWM instructions exactly - especially the part about plugging into the AC adapter or it won't work!
**NOTE** this will also install the original blur txt messaging interface with the conversation balloon mode. Its all one application so no way around it that I know of.
1) copy one of the zip files (attached) to your sdcard root directory
2) run CWM according to instructions in its thread
3) after reboot into CWM select "Install zip from SDCARD"
4) select "Choose zip from internal sdcard"
5) scroll down to the zip file name (ex: messaging.zip)
6) select the file (power button) and run the update
7) go back to main menu and select "Reboot system now"
A few steps but doesn't take long. I just pulled these out of the gingerblur-bloatware.zip and figured out what file structure you have to leave in place for it to function.
Hope this will save people some time.

I think there's a bloatware restorer on the greyblur site. Try that.
Will that install it all back tho or will i be able to pic
well ill look at it and see if it can do only one thing
thanks i forgot about that
Alright so i found them in the files there how do i delete the new one and get this old one back on there? im so confused help!
Still have not figured it out some one help?
http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/d...-reinstall-deleted-system-apps-bloatware.html
That thread helped me how 2 install the files but i cant install them it tells me
Application not installed any clue how 2 fix this and remove the old one some thing? any one?
You need to download the messaging bloatware zip, reboot into recoverymode and use CWM to install that zip file... It's the same process as installing grey/gingerblur.
Well if i new where the messaging bloatware zip was i would try 2 get that
i know they have the full one with everything but is there one with only the messaging part? or some thing like that?
Well i tryed 2 just install the messager part and i soft bricked my phone just fixed that but still dont have the old messaging system
Go to the android development section and find the gingerblur thread (it shouldn't be difficult). Then go to the gingerblur website given in the thread and download the bloatware.zip. you will also need tenfars cwm recovery which is in the development section also. Then just flash the zip file using the cwm recovery guide. Make sure your phone is plugged into a wall outlet charger when you do this (not a computer USB port) or it won't work.

Thanks for looking
First one to thank you! Trying this as im typing right now..
it's pretty useless without voice recognition
Getting a network error...any ideas?
My data is enabled.
This is working on most AOSP/AOKP.
Not working on stock or stock like roms.
Voice will not connect with servers and you will only get errors.
Its a work in progress.
It will install but you can only search by typing.

Is it possible to get a CMW flashable zip of this?
Just tested it out and it does load but the network issues and no voice search kill it a bit , but its got a future...
To revert back can I just make apk1 to apk?
Or do I need to uninstall something?
I couldn't find it in that thread.
On the last page someone asked the same thing but hasn't had an answer so I was wondering if anyone has done it here.

can you guys with the network error try this one (and log if possible)
push it to /system/app and replace the old one velvet apk if there's any.
what u can do is move the GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk to a folder you know in case you need to place back again, and download and move this one Velvet-theos0o to /system/app and set permission just close and try the search button on your cell phone after a reboot
Thanks
are you properly logged in etc. on other google services?

Delete the googleserachbox.apk in data/app then rename the one in system/app. After that reboot to recovery, clear cache and dalvik then fix permissions and reboot.
yeah just remove the 1 after apk and remove any other velvet or search apk u had place in that folder /system/app

Pics Of Different Themes Below
Instructions On How To Install
Instructions For Phones With No Custom Recovery
Just a note for you people without a custom recovery. Coping and replacing files can cause the system to freeze. I always copy the apk's to the system folder instead of the system/app folder once copied to the system folder you can set the permissions there then move the apk to the system/app folder then that way if it freezes up and does a force reboot the permissions are already set correctly. Coping the files that go in the system/etc/snd_soc_msm will not cause the system to freeze so your fine just placing them directly in that folder. Remember these are what is needed for call recording to work. It is not necessary to back these files up unless you want to.
Here Is The Procedure for installing manually: Extract my zip and copy the files to the appropriate folders SecPhone.apk and SecContacts.apk to /system/app. Delete SecPhone.odex and SecContacts.odex or rename SecPhone.odex to SecPhone.odex.bak same with SecContacts SecContacts.odex rename to SecContacts.odex.bak. Then copy snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 and snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm to /system/etc/snd_soc_msm
Glad someone picked this up.

If you guys want to try this it works fine for me. This is the actual International Dialer And Contacts. Download this zip INTERNATIONAL_DIALER_CONTACTS_MGA.zip. Now edit your build.prop file and change ro.product.name=jfltevzw change to ro.product.name=jfltexx. This will allow for the Contacts to work properly if you dont do this step it will not work!!
This will change your 4G LTE icon so here is a link if you want it to look different http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355529. You just cant name it back to the Verizon one or the International Dialers wont work. Let me know if this works on the Stock ME7 builds
Edited: I added this to the OP. For those of you that can flash this there is no need to manually edit the build.prop file the zip will do it for you and back up the original one. I have fixed the 4G LTE Icon so it displays the verizon one in the status bar. For those of you manually adding the files you will have to edit the build.prop file manually and will be stuck with the International 4G icon.

1. First delete SecMms_Candy from system/priv-app

I tried different ways, both airmessage apk in system/app (it seems to be the good way for note 3) or in system/priv-app, with s6 sms apk, s6 ported for s4 apk, s6 ported for n3 apk, I think I followed all the tutorials about floating messages and tried all the apps, but I didn't success to make it work on n9005 stock odex 5.0 rom.

Thx a lot for the flashable zip but I just rooted my n3, not installed a recovery.
I tried with another apk I've found on xda (think it's a ported n3) and now messages appears on my launcher and doesn't FC. Also, sms appears in floating message app list and it's enabled. BUT (it would be too easy!) when I receive a sms, I don't have any bubble or floating message. Just regular statusbar notification and icon.
I'm going mad.

LG G2 restore stock keyguard

Hi,
I tried to speed up my lg g2 and removed the keyguard because the app keyguard process needed a lot of RAM. Now the phone is super fast again, but I can't use the mobile network any more (data, calls, no sim unlock on reboot any more) and I can not access the data on the device from my pc any more.
So how can I restore either the functionality or the keyguard? I can not find a stock apk to install it via adb.
Resetting the phone to stock is not an option as I don't have the time to install all my modifications again and I don't have a backup (I know that was stupid)
