Need a little help with a widget in a theme - Themer General Discussion

I'm using the Pinkline theme right now. One thing I'm trying to do is have it so the music widget automatically uses Spotify instead of Apollo when I press play. Is that possible?
Right now I have to start Spotify for it to work with the widget. I'd like to somehow simplify that process. Thanks!

Hmmm. Not sure this is possible now. Spotify isn't an option to set as a default music player in this rom's settings. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open.

Themer music support player:
1. Rdio
2. Google Music
3. Spotify
4. Audible
5. Stitcher
6. Omich Player
7. Songza
8. MortPlayer
9. Pandora
10. Now Playing
11. Amazon MP3
12. HTC Music
13. Slacker
To set your music source, Go to themer > settings > themer > app preferences and reset your music.
Go back to home screen which has music widget and select source.

Oddly, there is no preference set for music. There just wasn't one to begin with. So there is nothing to reset.

So I'm looking to add Katching (finance app) to the finance folder/widget. But whenever I press Bank it just launches the play store asking me to download Bank of America app. Can I not manually choose my app?

[Q] what is the "lyrics" in setting of music player ?

As above ? What does lyrics do in official music app ?
I just tried checking it and unchecking it ! And nothing happens ?
What is it for any way ?
It does not work for me , is there a way to turn it on instead of using lyrics apps like tunewiki or musixmatch ?

If the song you are playing has the lyrics embedded they will show over the top of the artwork
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
the lyrics field is a standard field in id3 tag v2, however, it is very rarely used.
if you want lyrics for your music, you should check musixmatch from the play store. it is a pretty good player, that is able to download lyrics and ID music as well.

I did use it alot of time only when seeking lyrics .. But normaly , I always use the stock music app .. The only one I could browse and play by folders ... Not only artists or albums or mixed all together .. And I've got over 2000 song .It is hard to play 'em all together ..
Thanks for tag info . Made me know right place to embed lyics manually

[Q] Video Player Displays Chapter numbers

When watching a film on my Galaxy S3 - using a file I copied from my desktop - the default Samsung video player displays the chapter number at the bottom of the screen like: Chapter 1
This isn't burned onto the video itself - watching the same video on my desktop show no such chapter display.
Is there a way of turning this off? There isn't an obvious option in the app itself.
Bump - no one else have this issue? I noticed a similar problem in the note 2 forum.
In case it's not clear what I mean, it looks like this:

Dude quit bumping...
This question has already been posted....
There's a setting in the video player itself if I remember correctly.
I searched for this before posting and couldn't find anything. I also sent ages searching through the options and also couldn't find anything.

Was bugging me too, and just figured out how to turn it off. Whilst playing the video in Video Player click the left soft button, go to Settings and the turn "Closed caption" off.

Google Now with Bluetooth Device

Really ticked that I cannot figure this out....
So, I am running an ICS Rom with Google Now enabled hack.
I use bluetooth headphones and the Belkin bluetooth car adapter
Both of these products have a voice dialing feature. The problem is, that it launches the Voice Dialer app, which is as useful as bellybutton on a forehead.
I have the app Bluetooth Launch, which supposedly lets you program what happens when you push the voice dialing button on a bluetooth device. No luck.
I want to try to get rid of the Voice Dialer app using Titanium Backup, but I cannot find anything that come close to "Voice Dialer" on the list of apps.
Anybody know how to make Google Now the default Voice Dialing/Searching app when using a bluetooth device?
This is the app in question

I've been having the same issue on CM10.1. Bluetooth Launch doesn't work either.
See this post here:
http://brandtkrueger.wordpress.com/...voice-actions-the-default-instead-of-s-voice/
Basically with Google Now the Activity name is renamed.
Load "Bluetooth Launch" and choose the following:
Google Search->com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.VoiceSearchActivity
Works for me on my SIII and the Belkin CarAudio Connect AUX device, I did have to disable "S-Voice" within settings -- Applications and set Bluetooth Launch as the default launcher app to have it interop seamlessly.

never mind i accidentally clicked the "menu option" of my galaxy win/quattro and then the setting option popped out.
I know this is an old thread, but I don't think this necessarily works i.e. disabling auto-updates per individual app. I recently rooted an lg g4. As far as i know, I have had auto-update turned off, and as i saw the updates running, I checked the play-store to make sure it was off and even checked a few of the apps to make sure autoupdate was turned off and in every case auto update was turned off. and yet the updates still downloaded and updates ran. I would not even have known if I had not been awake at 3am.

uninstalling an app

I want to uninstall words with friends from zynga, here what they say to do
How to remove Zynga games on your Android device:
1. Open Google Android Menu.
2. Go to Settings and select Applications.
3. Click Manage.
4. Select the application you want to remove from the list.
5. Click Uninstall.
where is the google android menu. I can not uninstall when I go to my setting on my phone, no option to uninstall:crying: this fricken app.
Just go to the Play Store, then My apps, find that app...there should be a tab there to uninstall it.

To uninstall from settings, go to "Settings" | "Application manager", which is probably what is meant by "google android menu", find the application, and there will be a button to uninstall.
You can also uninstall all apps from the play store, as 4-2ndtwin pointed out.
I tried that but it only uninstalls the updates not the whole game. I guess I need my phone to be rooted to do this.
^
Did u try to uninstall that app from the Play Store like i suggested ?

Zenga also sets an account in "accounts" in settings.try deleting that first, then "uninstall" in apps.maybe that will get rid of it completely.
