Yep, 3g data now works out-of-the-box (im actually typing this from ubuntutouch > 28.10.2013 daily build via 3G)
how? Goto network/wifi ~ scroll all the way down to 'unlock sim' Profit!
Note: Some need to have 'pin' enabled on sim. Do that first in android - not 100% sure about this pin req as I am a pinhead

What is your country & who is your carrier? Nevermid I remember seeing you before.

Dont get it working always when i try to unlock my sim nothing happend. Also cant find my carrier without sim pin.... Galaxy Nexus so Data and Phone should work..... Latest build and carrier Eplus......

On my N4 carrier Eplus (Germany) it works (unlocking sim, 3G Data and GSM; (UT 13.10 (r100))

Okay I'm on ics beta 8. And my edge doesn't seem to work. It connects but the signal bars r grey. Tried so many times but never turned blue!!

no, becuse i asked my service provider about that,and if it was possible then your service provider wll have a losing business
although some rumors say that u can shre connection by bluetoth(the 2 phones should be close):laugh:

First activate Whatsapp using the SIM you want, then use it with the internet from the other SIM. Whatsapp just needs your phone number once for initial activation. In case you have any problem due to the dual SIM, take out the unwanted SIM, activate Whatsapp, then put back the SIM and use internet from it. This should work fine.

I cannot answer 100% for sure but I have read posts in other places that says it does and everything is backwards compatible since Tmobile owns MetroPCS now.

My t mobile s5 came with an apn from metro pre-installed on it. So I would assume they share the same network, and the devices should be the same, correct me if I'm wrong.
