In odin u can see a version number.. that is bootloader version... efficient bootloader will boot up device fastly...

What is the benefit off flashing with this pit file. Will it completely make the phone to the factory level. And what does this zero level mean?
thanks

[Q] How can I unroot my phone ?

Hi,
I want to unroot my SGS3 just to compare with stock ROM. I tried this :
http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-unroot/how-to-unroot-galaxy-s3-i9300/#comment-4415
But during the flash of cache.img everything stops and the phone is rebooting.
But like I said in the commentaries when my phone is rebooting I've a black screen. Then I tried to flash it directly with Heimdall but I've got this error
ERROR: Partition corresponding to -modem argument could not be located
Ending session...
Rebooting device...
Re-attaching kernel driver...
Click to collapse
And when I remove the modem.bin my phone stays with the "Samsung" and never get to the PIN code.
Do you have any idea how could I unroot my phone ?
Thanks.
PS : I'm using Ubuntu, I can't use Odin.
Use mobile Odin. This can unroot I believe.
Edit: sorry this isn't correct search for cfroot (with cwm recovery) there is an unroot method in 2nd post (unable to post link atm, sorry)

I said I cant' because I'm using Linux. And when I'm trying to flash through Heimdall I've got the error I copied in the first post.
Flash back stock firmware on PC Odin. It will do a total wipe and you are back on stock. No root.

Yes i read all your posts you have UBUNTU so what you need to do is buy ODIN mobile from play store download a stock rom depending on your country from sammobile.com. Extract the zip file get the tar file and put it into your sd and use mobile odin to flash back to stock.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abthK4b3y6Q
Use this video as a guide it's the same way for S3 just download an s3 firmware not S2
EDIT here i found a video for S3

Thanks for your response. I thought I said it. I already tried with Odin mobile. Everything's fine but when it's flashing cache.img the phone reboots and I get bootloops.
You can flash through Heimdall but to be honest I can't remember the exact steps. Here's a guide I used sometime back:

i9082 galaxy grand bricked!!

Helllo, my i9082 was working fine, just battery draining problems...so i decided to flash it. SO, i flashed it with Odin307 and firmware I9082XXAMAB_I9082OXEAMA5_SER. Now my screen has become black and i only can hear sound.....help pls!!
BTW i forgot to enable usb debugging, and also i have usb jig to put in download mode. ODIN also detects phone in download mode but as i said screen is blank, no display. Somebody help
Could it be a driver problem? I flashed it successfully but with drivers I downloaded for i9300...do I need specific drivers for i9082?

Man you are one brave guy; flashing drivers meant for 9300 on 9082 (I assume you dont mean the USB drivers) ! Thank your lucky stars you only had a soft brick. Hard brick would have made your device go kaput! Anyway, all's well that ends well

you dont request to get cm support, someone takes the cwm tree and works on it until it fully works with cm. as for teh forum you need t o go to the new devices poll thread and request one and have all the people vote for one. they only make forums for devices that get enough votes.
