N900W8
Can anyone report this working on the N900W8? I'm bootlooping.
As Turilo pointed out, N900W8 users will have to disable 'Scanning always available' from Wi-Fi' Settings' Advanced menu if they don't want to get ****ed off as soon as booted into the OS - I have it working after flashing back to stock and doing so.
Have the device-specific WiFi blobs perhaps not been carried over?
Stock kernels can be grabbed from each ROM's Download page on Samsung-update - if you want a CWM-flashable zip, just replace the boot.img in faux's zip with the Stock one.

Can i undervolt gpu with this kernel?

Is this only good for Snapdragon? No Exynos im assuming?

This guy's kernels are the best, so many options

The TMobile one works fine on my Canadian 900W8. Thanks.

Hi I'm running echoe rom that has viper sound in it. Will there be a conflict with the sound mods in this kernel and viper sound?

[IDEA] Port international firmware/ROM's to Verizon Note 2?

Considering the similarities between the domestic variants of the Note 2 and their international counterparts, would anyone be willing to test some of the success that the folks over in the AT&T forum have had with porting the international N7100/N7105 firmware/ROM's over to the Verizon Note 2
Check out these two threads over in the AT&T forum and see what you all think:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016575
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411
The basic gist of the procedure is to use a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP to flash a stock N7100/N7105 firmware, and then flash your carrier specific modem/kernel.
Why would anyone want to do this? Well, for starters, you would benefit from built-in stock-supported tethering, and a few other features that carriers disable (YMMV). But mainly this means that the domestic versions of the Note 2 can benefit from the development of the international versions! So, when the latest version of Android comes out for the rest of the world, we aren't stuck here waiting for our carrier to catch up to everyone else...
So what do you all think? Anyone willing to try?
ba-ba-ba-BUMP.
What about integrating carrier specific apps? The Verizon version has a data usage app that works without logging into my Verizon.
I do believe that is what scrosler was doing here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055218 and he said this in the features " Verizon Patch files in a flashable zip can be found http://www.cleanroms.com/downloads/Note2/VZW Patch for 7105 Base.zip This will let the ROM think you are a VZW ROM! Good for the Play Store and APN settings! " But.... He did say he was unsure if it works on other roms in his second post. You possibly could try it. : )
Thanks. . But I'm already using his VZW rom

Any chance that Scott's patch would work on the CM10.1 nightlies for N7100? If I try it, do I risk bricking?
Sent from my Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk 2
You risk a soft brick. Just make a nandroid backup first and you'll be fine.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Just make sure you don't flash modems and keep a stock kernel on hand
Yeah since the hardware is nearly identical I think the most you would risk is a soft brick. The 7100 lacks LTE though so I'm not sureif you would have data on one of those roms. Tell us how it goes if you go through with it.

I've had trouble getting confirmation from T-Mobile users, but I do believe you will lose Bluetooth for calls on 4.2.2. (Streaming music works fine though)
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
You won't lose BT calling. Been using ARHD, OrioOne and Trickdroid. All work fine with BT calling and streaming.
FYI: this should not be in general, but rather in Q&A...

Then I am lost. I've been flashing for years, and can't figure it out. The weird part is that I can stream music over Bluetooth to my car stereo and the headset. I can hear the touch tones while dialing. But as soon as I place a call neither the Mic or the speaker work.
I plan to flash this new T-Mobile ruu, then try ARHD 12.1 again. Did you guys flash the 2.17 firmware? Did you add any audio enhancements in aroma? I'm SuperCID with hex edit.
Any help is appreciated as I have tried numerous methods over the past month and it has been driving me insane.

New VZW S4 LTE-A model? SCH-I545L

Could there be a new LTE-A model coming out soon along with the Note 3?
Source code is availabe for a SCH-I545L online at the Samsung Opensource site.
Even if it is, it's for supported markets only (read: korea) and the vzw s4 already supports voLTE so it really doesn't matter
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4
Its about Dev support since the newer S4 will probably use a Snapdragon S800 and baseband will be completely different and othere H/W bits might be slightly different.
Short answer is no. Long answer is long but also no.
Oh no. It is coming out FOR SURE. I'm sure they confirmed it like in May. But it's only for the korean market.

Yeah, I know its already out in the Korean market and there are rumors of the i9506 model for the International market with the updated chipset.
But this is the first time I've seen Source Code out for a VZW model that is not retailing yet.
I have a regional carrier in WI that just released the Galaxy s4 yesterday... sure enough model number SCH-I545L
Yep Cellcom (NE Wisconsin's monopolistic carrier) just started selling the S4 last Friday....
Here is the system info
Hope to get it rooted soon as I find the touchwiz interface to be total garbage compared to stock android... Also it's terrible at resizing fonts on in apps

You might be able to follow the Verizon subsection for this phone. I'm pretty sure this phone was released by Verizon for smaller carriers. Roms might work on it from that section. Rooting can be done no matter what carrier. If you incorrectly flash a wrong ROM for your phone, the data will not work.

What root method will work? The build number ends with WWUAMG6.
I just picked up the i545L yesterday on Cellcom in WI as well. I am also waiting for root but i installed Zeam from the play store to get rid of Samsung's TW Launcher in the mean time.
Has anybody figured out the best way to root the SCH-I545L?
