Pulled The Trigger!!!! - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

So i sold my note 3 30 minutes after posting it on craigslist. Ordered my new Xperia z Ultra from new egg and i have never been so excited for a device. I got the 6806 model so it will support ATT LTE. This is definitely the most money I have ever spent on a cell phone but screw it. After playing with it in the sony store for only a few minutes i was 100 percent sold. Cant wait till tuesday when my device arrives. Only question now is what do i do without a phone for the next couple of days?

Welcome. You're going to find that the support for the xzu won't be as diverse as the note however. I still choose the zxu.

I love the z ultra there simply is nothing out there with the same portability that can do the same job amazing for a web browser it goes where my new iPad air cannot it really is unique in its own sense.I tried to sell it but I had second thought I would miss it too much I rate it very high against my iPhone 5s and nexus 5 it stands in the same league as them.

I find Sony's support better than Samsung. We've had an update each month for 4 months, thats pretty good!
But more sheep will buy the note 3, so you are also more inclined to get a few extra developers.
In saying that I think we have a few good dev's here at present.. with more to come......

essentially this is what you have to decide....
-large unit, smooth UI, excellent camera, average build (Note3)
-larger unit, smoother UI, average camera, premium build (Ultra)

I also sold my Note 3 because of the disgustingly bad screen.
I made the right choice leaving samsung. Tomorrow I will get a Z1 to replace the Note 3 .
While I love the Ultra it's a bit to big for daily use which I will use the Z1 for :good:

Compare to ZU, the Xperia Z1 is a joke in my opinion...The screen quality on Z1 is really bad and it get hot really soon after using for some minutes. Battery is not so good either...

No screen issues here with Z1, my Z1 screen looks even better then the Z Ultra one in a store here lol and I don't have a hot Z1 even when playing games. But I don't play very heavy games
Anyway I'd choose Z Ultra over Note 3, like it's been said camera isn't as good as Note 3, but I wouldn't use it.anyway with a device this size, kinda looks ridiculous to take pictures with large devices
Anyway build quality and design are the key points to.choose ZU over Note 3. Sony interface is 100times more beautiful as Samsung interface (although this is something personal) and Sony feels very premium with the aluminium body and glass
And I'm here to develop, working on kitkat AOSP now

People say the Z1 has washed out colours etc which I don't give a crap about. I'm tired of samsungs bad screens because they have this retarded unevenness, thick lines which makes the screen look damaged etc. All samsung phones gets hot really fast.
The battery can easily be tweaked. People complain about battery about all samsung phones etc but then I get 2 days out of it including Note 3. I get really good battery with my current Z ultra as well.
So I'm pretty confident. Another thing is the night and day difference between samsung and sonys phone. Sonys phone scream premium.
I would without a hitch sacrifice popping colours for better build quality etc. That's all samsung has going "popping colours" and then you have bad build quality, bad screens etc etc.
All in all, I'm extremely happy I went to sony after all these years with samsung ^^.

That why we have the forum:good:

That's what I meant though. The forum support for the xzu is less than what I have already seen for the note 3. I'm sure actual sony support is great and we can just walk into a retailer. I think that it's just because it's an incredibly niche market.

Forum input is distressingly weak unfortunately.
I don't think the Ultra matches up to the Note 3, but... I wanted a 6"-6.3 plus screen and Note can't match that!

The build quality and screen is trash.
I love touchwiz though and the whole s-pen thing.
But I couldn't be happier changing now .

Note 3 is far from trash, that's for sure. But it is not my cup of tea though, Touchwiz is so u-g-l-yyyy.. Yeah feature is all around, but i really hate all those Samsung's color choices. Plus plastic is too cheap compared to the price we pay for, so the ZU is like more worth the money. Yeah the ZU doesn't have stylus, but unless you're an artist, almost 99% of person i saw with Note 2 NEVER use that stylus. So again, not my cup of tea.. Plus the Sony one is cheaper here than the note 3 (and it's not a Snapdragon ones in here too) so yeah XZU all the way!

Just my personal opinion of course.
I've had Samsung all my life, as you can see in my sign I've had most of Samsung devices. I friggin LOVED the Note 3 when I first got it..
Samsung has a BAD screen problem which I've put up with all these years which made me finally do the big switch.
So when I now have my Z Ultra and Z1 and think, what does Samsung offer now? Nothing, they are pure trash in my eyes.
Sony is just better in all areas in my opinion. Yes, I miss the s-pen, I kinda miss their multitasking software etc. However, I don't miss them enough to go back to that garbage display they have.
The funny thing is that their display problem have been in every single phone they've released. So all in all with the display and disgusting build quality, they offer nothing that beats Sonys Z Ultra and Z1.
Just wanted to post an explanation ^^.

I just bought this phone ,i had several possibilities nexus 5,note3 or lg g2. My last phone was lg optimus g pro a nice phone but the lack of updates from lg made me to buy the SONY XZU.It has such an amazing display

One of the more idiotic statements on mobile devices I've seen....(but OK...it's 'pure trash'...eyes rolled so far back it hurts
We've had the N3 since release and it's extraordinary...best smartphone on the market.
Pure functionality is all I care about...hardware is secondary 4 me (except for camera..
Note 3 shines in every debt. I love the amoled screens..and N3's is fantastic. Miss it.
But....I really need a tablet, that can also function as a phone if need be, and the Ultra is just that for me.

What's your reason for getting this beast that is XZU?

I thought it would be interesting to hear everyone's thoughts since the Z Ultra is more of a niche device.
For me, it's mainly because of the screen size as I wanted something more of a small tablet. I was deciding between this and Nexus 7 FHD LTE but ultimately went with the Z Ultra. Expandable memory was a huge factor in this. Plus I want to try out Sony again. I like them.
So what's your reason?

Had a Nexus 7 2012 and a htc sensation, my sensation died and started to feel annoying by always have to carrying both phone and tab. Started to look for a phablet and found the XZU, meanwhile I saw the specs of the new n7 and got really disappointed. The XZU is the ultimate phablet, no real competitors yet (galaxy mega is too far behind). Sony really worked on the build quality, and this is a real plus, plastic devices can't be call a high-end devices.

Well, I wanted to get the biggest device out there because my fingers are quite fat. I'm not saying that I'm fat but my hands are ..well ..kind of wide and thick. 4,7 inches is just to small for my hands.
I am forever a crackberry user after having the 9900 before my One X and the Bold series is hands down the best devices for typing on. But they are small, and BB phones are..just very boring.
Why I chose SONY and to continue with android is because the user friendly unlocking process of the bootloader just like HTC without using some exploit or bug. And I got a bit too comfortable with the idiot safe and too stable HTC devices and roms. I had the Desire PVT4, One X endeavour and now my dad got the silver HTC One which I'm in charge of flashing new roms and updates on so naah, I wanted to try something new and exciting with premium built quality! :fingers-crossed:
Hello, I will order my XZU in a few days. I already got a 6,44" Smartphone and im happy with its size, its perfectly fits in my jeans pocket and in my hands so i wouldn't have any problems with the size of the XZU. It is waterproof, looks pretty good and it have the snap800 thats why i decided to order it.
The camera isn't a problem in my eyes, when i want to take high quality pictures then i dont use a smartphone.
I had the Galaxy Note, and it was time to move on, so i was looking for something with a big screen. I first wanted the Xperia Z, since i really like Sony's Omni Balance design, but the screen just ruined the whole thing for me, so i checked the HTC One out, but the screen is too small. I had no idea after that, so i waited and suddenly Sony announced the Ultra, and i checked out their ad, and i started laughing since it's so huge. I dismissed it on the spot and continued with my day. A couple of days later i though about it again and i checked some more videos of it, and i suddenly said to myself, "i must have it". And that pretty much it.
Why didn't i go with the Note 3? I've had a Note for almost two years, and i wanted to leave Samsung. They are stuck IMO, and the only thing they keep pushing out now are big or small versions of an existing product, and they are still shoving crap into TouchWiz. No thanks.

Not to mention ATT looks like they locked the bootloader on Note 3. Not sure if Tmo did the same, but it looks like they share the ATT LTE bands. I still felt that the C6806 with LTE on ATT and larger screen is better than any other device.
I come from the Note 2 and have been maintaining TWRP on the Note1 ATT and all Note 2 devices. I want to see if I can use motochopper on the C6806 since I don't trust vroot as much.
I just really wanted a small fast tablet with FHD, went round them all and finally the XZU emerged; some only dual core, some low res, some no expandable storage. Albeit the XZU is designed to be primarily a phone first, as a tablet it also excels at getting the job done. I travel internationally for work purpose, often to destinations way off the grid such as Borneo, so space is always an absolute premium.
Of course the display, I have never owned a mobile device that literally people comment on the quality of the image reproduction, especially films. Maybe I lucked out, equally I have not seen better on a mobile.
My only concern is 16Gb, bigger aps, ever larger data 32Gb should be the default on premium products. As the Galaxy Note 3 now comes with 32Gb as default it`s simply a matter of time before others follow suit, my only concern is the XZU is such a niche product it may not sustain...

It's a Sony
i sold my Galaxy Mega, and my ZU arrives tomorrow... i got bored with Samsungs design a while ago and decided to go with Sony, the design looks really good and solid, cant wait to unbox it!
This unit is like a piece of fine art with TWO world records, Biggest smartphone and Smallest tablet. you got the Best of both world !!!
Humongous screen
And slim profile
Definitely a head turner

Right! My Note feels like something from Toys R Us now. When you buy an Ultra, you'll get what you pay for; quality build. When you buy a Samsung, you get a plastic duck with a lot of gestures.

Yes, they're really good at hardware specs, but not the hardware itself and the software. Plastic and TouchWiz doesn't scream "i paid top dollar for this". When i buy a Porsche i expect the best interior, exterior and performance. Samsung is good at performace. They are the Corvette of the mobile world, awesome performance but ****ty build quality (Corvettes are 101% plastic). Sony is the Aston Martin. Stylish, really fast (and expensive).
Not saying that Sony is perfect, because they're not, but they're the closest i'll get to high performace, openess and build quality in one device.

HTC One Max General/Off-Topic/Anything Discussion

Hi!!!
I have recently become phone-less, I had an HTC One, which I gave to my brother for his birthday, then I purchased the Nexus 5. Yestarday I dropped the Nexus from ~2ft, onto carpet, and the internal LCD cracked, the glass was fine. I called Google and THANK GOD they let me return it. Right now it is between the HTC One Max and the Moto X. Please give your honest opinions of the Max, I'll be eternally grateful!!
:laugh::good:
Thanks,
Alex

HTC one max man. If you liked HTC one you will love this thing. Screen blows Moto x away but phone is big. If you don't like the added size it won't be a good phone for you. If a big phone doesn't bother you go for the max!!

That's the two I am considering as well. I honestly like the size of the Note 3 better, but I am HTC guy to the bone. I have owned about 8 of them. I like sense alot more than Samsung's touchwiz garbage. If someone could make a HTC Sense rom work on a Note 3, my decision would be made, LOL.

I don't know.... The back is what I despise, the leather-textured plastic crap don't cut it for me.
Pros and cons for both phones....
HTC Pros:
Screen size, clarity and brightness
Signal wifi and LTE are great just like every htc device
Aluminum body/build quality these are top notch
Sense UI i absolutely love sense over any other android ui so big pro for me
Speakers once again boom sound speakers will blow any other phone out there out of the water
Sdcard not often we see an htc with an sdcard
HTC Cons:
Size. phone is huge im 6'4" with big hands and i can barely reach everything i need to. But it is basically a two hand device for the majority of people
Camera doesnt have OIS and only a 4 up i have never been a big fan of the whole up movement and dont think the pictures are terrible but not as good as others (aka note 3, s4, etc)
Little features it lacks as well compared to note 3 would be s pen, multi windows, high screen sensitivity for use with gloves little things like that
Development. While the phone does have s-off, unlocked etc etc there is no roms for verizon you can use xposed all you want but no custom roms
Somewhere in the middle
Battery. While the battery life is great always lasted me a full day from when i get up til i go to bed would be nice if you could remove battery and replace with a charged one but not a huge deal
Note 3 time....Pros:
Screen size and ppi while it is not as bright as htc one max it does have like a 13 ppi higher not a big deal here though lol
Removable battery and sdcard, nice to have both and battery lasts just as well as htc one max
Camera the 13mp shooter does better then htc i think and also 4k video not available on any other device
Little features as mentioned above. s pen, multi windows, high screen sensitivity for use with gloves, ambient temp/humidity sensor little things like that are nice to have especially now in the winter lol
Development (for me at least) i have developer edition so i have unlocked bootloader and full recovery and access to tmobile and verizon roms and kernels. Now the verizon retail does have safestrap and multiple roms to choose from
Note 3 Cons:
Speaker. I will be honest it straight up sucks! worst i have ever heard i think my first android phone the droid x was better it is awful and after hearing htc one and one max they ruin you lol
Signal. wifi is always giving you connection unstable and bogs down. lte isnt terrible but isnt as good as previous s4 and htc one of course
Somewhere in the middle
Touchwiz ui not a diehard fan of it like i am sense but very nicely done
Build quality. not bad at all but not quite up to par with htc one and one max. fake leather back isnt bad but black does feel better then white.

why dont you just go to a sprint store and look at the 2 yourself?
I never understand why people don't just do things on their own and make up their own minds...
Asking this question in a htc max thread will obviously get you people who say they love this phone, so not sure what you expect to accomplish by asking this here...

I asked for opinions of people that have used the phone for an extended period of time.
@oneandroidnut nice post thanks
i would still suggest not adding the size as a con.. its the size which is a pro for this device, ppl who buy the device majorly love big screens. Screen is a turn off for me with saturated colors, that's again personal like the size.
and the camera, i won't say its the best camera, however, it is the best usable camera practically. Low light pic's blow out any other phone and due to the bigger size of the phone, users hold the phone real solid before taking the pic resulting in a better picture without OIS. Zoe/Highlight + themes + music = beautiful stuff in Sense 5.5
development is slow to start off, but HTC seems to do a better job than Samsung at the stock, which counts for stock users
S-pen & other gimmicks are genuine feature that is not there on the MAX however S-Pen is not useful for me and many other note users who have migrated from Samsung.

i agree that i like the size but phone will way to big for the majority of people. and the screen has the best colors of any display to me. the amoled samsung are the over saturated ones.
camera is better in low light but thats about it. my note 3 are sharper and better for just normal light photos.
we will see i hope development picks up on one max i could use a custom rom or two
while i may not need it, it is nice to have. i can use note 3 with s pen if my hands are all nasty, if i have gloves on, etc etc while max or others i cannot. and trust me multi window is nice and not a gimmick

Well, just to increase your excitement a little further.
I have owned just about all the flagship phones over the last 3 years. HTC one M7, 8 & 9. Galaxy note 2 & 4. Galaxy S3 & 4. Nexus 4, 5 &6. iPhone 6 & 6+. (Seriously). Alot I know.
Have never found one that i thought truely had everything. HTC's (great speakers, smooth rom, but rubbish camera. Samsung Notes and Galaxy's (Good cameras, cheap build, laggy software). Nexus devices (fast smooth OS, poor cameras and build). iPhones (stable smooth OS, good camera, locked down OS, boring).
But, the S6 edge is absolutely fantastic. The build is brilliant and beautiful, the camera is absolutely excellent and the phone is blazing fast (ignoring touchwiz redraw). I really do think that this phone is a game changer and the best device released in the last 3-4 years hands down.
So please rest assured that i think you will find that this phone is very much worth the wait. (plus there might be some custom development by the time you receive the device).
Hope you enjoy

This is great to hear. I've been worrying about choosing between this and the M9 for ages. I've had flagships forever as well, but when I saw that this one wasn't waterproof and had no expandable memory I got very sad. But looking at this and the M9 side by side, the LED display is about 999x brighter. Coming from an S5 I can't got back on a good, bright screen.
This phone is so freaking awesome...excellent build, gorgeous display and the best camera in the market (daylight and night pics)... The speakers are loud too(sound quality is decent)… Samsung set the bar really high with this one.

I did a side-by-side comparison in the store as well and to me it wasn't merely about brightness of the M9 and the S6, but the resolution really appeared to me to be much better for the S6. I'm an HTC loyalist and have been for years, but the screen and camera issues with the M9 caused me to jump ship back to Samsung, not to mention there is now a Samsung phone that has an attractive build. Fingerprint scanning and wireless charging were big plusses as well. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and decision.
I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. The only thing that isn't up to par with the Ones IMO is the speakers, and who listens to high end audio through their phone's speakers expecting greatness anyway. Heck, I never did that with my One.
Did anyone mention too that the cameras are amazing?!? LOL simply put, I reiterate everyone else's sentiments that this is the best phone I have owned to date and I've had many of the flagship devices. I also was always opposed to not being able to change the battery or expand the storage but I haven't had issues with the battery or storage yet! I know it isn't the "post your photo" section but this is one I took at night that is unedited. Best night shot on a cell phone I've ever owned.

My list isn't as robust, but I've owned and used a lot of phones, and the S6 Edge is the first time since the freaking Galaxy Nexus that I can recall being genuinely excited about a new phone and not just "oh hey that looks rad I want it." From the moment I saw the S6 Edge I had a moment of "well I'm getting that." The Nexus 6, the M9, those didn't really grip me. They're fine phones, but nothing that made me almost annoyed at the knowledge that I'd be getting ANOTHER phone.
I'm not going to call the S6 Edge perfect, but I will say that it's the closest I have EVER run across. I have my quirks with TouchWiz still, it's a bit too slippery for comfort, and TBH the whole edge thing is, as yet, a bit gimmicky. The notifications are... okay, and the clock is nice, but I don't put a lot of mileage into them.
What the S6 Edge nails is just the intangibles. I haven't just wanted to PLAY with a phone since I got the iPhone 5s. Even when I have nothing to do, when I'm sitting at my laptop, I find myself looking for excuses.

I know there are a number of users who are complaining about battery life but mine is ok. Averaging around 4-5h screen time. Not great but not bad. Fast charge however is excellent. It charges extremely quickly. I have also purchased a koolpad qi charger and this works brilliantly. A bigger battery would of been nice but then that means a bigger heavier phone.
My battery life has been considerably better than my HTC One M8 was (also owned an M7). Both HTC's were good phones, but the S6 Edge is *amazing* in so many departments... loving my purchase decision.

Replacement phone model alternatives?

What model are going to trade for with your recall replacement and what is compatible in your opinion?
I am not thrilled about the glass with this phone (small crack near volume rocker)and many reports in the wild about scratches this early into release. The touch, especially the buttons feel a little less responsive than my not 5 and i swear my internet lags, especially when loading pages (but not positive on that one).
I am not one to complain about performance when each new model is first released. I have been in the game for years and years and think these few complaints with the note 7 may have leaning to pick another phone for my recall replacemt. I do like the note 7 though so tough decision.
Too bad more new phones were released in this unfortunate time
A recall for about 1 out of half a million batteries? That's still better odds than a few grains of peanut in your ice cream (which can kill some people). A new Note 7. With the odds being 1 out of half a million, the odds that the second one is also defective is probably too great to calculate on a 64 bit computer.

If rumors are correct, the Nexus Google Sailfish and Marlin phones are supposed to be released this month. The Marlin apparently has a 5.5" QHD AMOLED screen. Other rumored specs seem similar to the Note 7.

lmao you wanna go with LG? the company that consistently have quality control issues about GPS not working and overheating issues? Even though they got thousands of cases and refuse to do anything about it? Compared to Samsung where 35 devices have exploded or caught on fire and suspects about a possible 400k affected devices and they doing a full blown 2.5mill recall? ha you're funny and so is loyalty.
I'm a note 7 user and i haven't owned a Samsung device since 2010 which was my first smartphone and one of my best phones ever and since then i've moved onto Oneplus, Nexus etc so i'm not even remotely close to a Sammy fanboy but i'll tell ya what, i've only owned one LG device since back in 2012/2013 i think and it had such crappy GPS performance, literally every single device "Optimsu F7" and LG blew it over like it was nothing and said its not a problem. Now its happening to their LG G5 plus overheating issues. The day that LG told me and thousands of other customers who paid for the F7 that the GPS is functional and nothing is wrong is the day i vowed to never buy another LG device. loyalty is a funny thing and right now Samsung has my objective loyalty of how they're handling this situation.
They only did it because they didn't want to get sued. The voluntary recall was the loop hole for them.
I'll keep my note 7 until they have replacement note 7 in. Mine doesnt get hot from charging or using it. I'll watch it but i agree 35 cases out of how many phones? That's pretty good odds and nothing's flawless.

I'm straight swapping my existing (non defective) Note 7 for the NIB unit Samsung is going to hand over; whenever they may arrive that is.
.
As a long time (since the 2) Note series user, I may be a little biased when I say -
There is no good reason to move away from this generation of the Note.
While I do agree there currently is a noticeable performance lag when certain functions/tasks are carried out; app switching and the recents key being the most prevalent for me. Being software related, it's only a matter of time before any and all performance issues are resolved. Besides, these things are to be expected when adopting the latest and greatest.
Personally, I'm not putting any stock in the devices' (supposed) susceptibility to scratching. To be fair - I am acutely mindful of the how, what, and where my phone is being placed. As such, the device is never in a position to suffer a scratch.
All petty complaints aside, this iteration of the Note is still a vast improvement over the 5.
The way I see it is if you enjoy the device and make use of all that is has to offer - What's the point in abandoning the device for a lesser one? Especially over some silly recall, that probably could have been avoided had these people used the proper, quality, cables to charge the device in the first place.
I'm curious to know what other device(s) you're considering in it's place?

I was seriously looking into the v20. It's not as nice looking but the phone will most likely be rooted, good cameras, audio, interchangeable battery, IR blaster, can actually use a tempered glass screen protector, hopefully not as much lag as the note 7. Anyone else considering it??

I played a bit with a Note 8 at a Samsung Centre

So... I played a bit with a Note 8 at a Samsung Centre and compared it to the S8 and my current Note4. Here is what I found out:
The interface was extremely fluid on the S8. On the Note, not so much. I wonder if that's due to a possible preliminary software version, but it didn't look good. Small stuttering all over the place.
If you look at the (magnficent) screen, you'll see that the bottom part (with the nav buttons) is actually not used by apps, which is only natural. However, that means that the screen is only marginally larger than that of my Note 4.
The device has a solid, very pleasant feel. It's also a fingerprint magnet. Especially the black version. On the golden version it was much less visible. A case could take care of that, but then I hate cases.
I didn't get a chance to check out sound and camera quality, but from what I read the camera should the best on any smartphone. As for the loudspeaker, I don't have big expectations. After all, how good can a very small loudspeaker be?
I believe I'll wait for the reviews to decide, although, knowing me, I'll wait for about 5 minutes.
I am very interested to hear similar experiences, so if you got a chance to play with the Note 8, please drop a line.
Now, if I could only explain to the wife why I need a 1,000 EUR smartphone
I played with one at best buy this morning. Size wise it didn't feel radically bigger than my note 5.
Seemed very snappy and fast, only thing I didn't like was the lack of physical home button and capacitive buttons, but I'm sure I can get used to that. Just used to tapping the back button.
All in all seems like a hell of a device, glad I ordered one and can't wait to get it!

Do you think if you did not have to return your Note 7 that you would have bought the s8+ ? i can't help but think the s8 did so well because there was a lack of Note presence, Personally i caved in a few months before the s8 was released and bought an S7 Edge. But i definitely would of purchased a Note 7 instead if it was possible...
I tried this at CPW - it wasn't connected to wifi but was in demo mode. It was a dog and stuttered really badly. I appreciate this may be an early FW release but really in demo mode you'd expect high performance to stop this .
My Note FE is smooth as silk and I've yet to find a reason to order the 8.

Same thing happen with the note 7 peview. The store demos lag a bit abd show a ton of scratches.
But when i got mines in hand it was great.
Then the s8+ didnt use the whole screen out the box. But after adjusting some settings it can hide the bav and use the whole screen.
So i know the sane will be true here.
I got the phone perorder because i love the note line. And miss the note 7. I dont think the phone will be worlds apart from the s8+ (which i currently have), but i think its still a nice upgrade and i get my spen back.
Speaking of that i wonder if the note 7 spen will work. I got about 4 of them lol..
I did have a solid hour or so with the device at Samsung 837 building while I was in NY. I had the chance to get attend the unpacked event. I talked to a few rep's that were there. They said those devices on display are pre-production units and will not get updates. They will be pulled when when productions units ship. So any lag you felt is do to pre-production software. The hardware will be the same. The camera is great. I got to test the live focus and other things. Lot's of ppl saying say this device is a S8+ with an S-pen, which it's not. There is some good reviews out there already to help you decide. I knew I was going to get it even before I saw it. I miss the note series and only reason I am on the S8+ now is because I HAD to turn my Note 7 in.

Since you are based in Europe, can we assume you have the Exynos version and not the snapdragon??? could that be the reason the members that they tried it here in the US (snapdragon) where much fluid.

The marriage is already over if you have to hide the strip club bills... I tell my wife "hey the fellas and I about to go look at some titties.." her response is "you can look all you want, but when you ready for some real action, you better come home".

That may be the case (although you can buy the Snapdragon version here as well). However, there was a benchmark quoted on this forum whose result was that the two processors have similar performance.

There's been reports of the demo units acting poorly in both Europe and the US.
