I've also been watching for Black Friday deals for the N3 but haven't come across any yet. The BF ad for Sam's Club lists the S4 for $.96 (which is probably the best deal around) but nothing about the N3.
Amazon currently offers the Note 3 for $170 with Verizon contract for a new account or adding a line, $249.99 for upgrades.

The best deal on the S4 that i have found is from best buy(http://blackfriday.bestbuy.com/#!/c...at=All Cell Phones with Plans&cat=Cell Phones) they are showing up as FREE with a contract. Have yet to see any Note 3 deals. I hope someone has a deal on it, really want to get one.

as I have been looking around the internet, I have found no deals for the note 3 for black friday. When I went to the Verizon store yesterday, the employees said that they have not heard anything about deals on the note 3 and HIGHLY doubt there will be any. They gave me a black friday ad and their phone deals are the lg g2, htc one, and samsung galaxy s4. Sorry if this made you a little sad lol

Yeah, I hear ya. As with the previous few Black Friday deals for me, it'll all be done with a click of the mouse and that's it.
Man, I hope they keep it at this price.. I have 3 other lines I'll be bringing over to VZW if the DNA turns out to be as good as they say.. (I'm switching to VZW anyhow, not just for the DNA) :silly:
Wirefly would let me create the pre-order. But, VZW configrmed that I am not eligible for an upgrade until February.
Then, the fine print for Wirefly said that if for any reason the service is not maintained for 181 days, or the service is fraudulently added, etc, they will charge an additional $400 per smartphone.
I figured that this was just yet another way for VZW to screw me over, so I bailed.
Best thing i can do is vote with my dollars and take revenue away from Verizon ASAP.

So far I have bought 3 DNA's using wirefly. For my girlfriend, her mother, and myself. Of course I end up getting the one with light leaking through the screen from the menu key light. Looks like a light/dead pixel but its much larger than a pixel would be on this screen and only visible when the menu keys light up. Customer service has been very good, they are going to ship me a new one and once I get it and set it up I can ship the other one back.

Price it for $395 with many CLEAR pics. Mine sold in 15 minutes with the guy coming to me. Also, if you need an interim phone, buy a thunderbolt and a sim adapter. I paid $50 for my thunderbolt on CL. Many are going for $80 - $120. You can just resell it when done and lose your $3.00 sim adapter investment
If you sell on ebay be sure to make it known that you are verifying the condition of the device with photos and video before shipment. That will discourage the scammers from trying to swap with a busted device and then sticking you for the money. Or even better when they break it within the first day and try to claim you sent a a damaged item.
Otherwise you can get burned because ebay will usually side with the buyer on any dispute. I learned the hard way with a previous smart phone sale. Took a month to get my money back along with a busted phone.

Just know that on eBay you have a lot more in fees, even if it sells for $50 more on eBay most of that will end up being paid to eBay/PayPal anyways.

It's not "most" but I've noticed the fees end up being around 12%

I sold a Nexus 7 16gig for $120 and a iPhone 4 for $120 yesterday but I was impatient. If I was smart I would have off loaded that Nexus 7 a few months ago. Still a nice tablet hands down but I want to focus on one device and that's the Note 2.

You're always going to have a hard time finding deals on non-contract prices. Carriers aren't going to reduce their price because it takes away from their subsidized pricing and makes it seem like less of a deal. For instance, Verizon's site lists the GS3 at $699 off contract, it's been that price since it's release last summer.

Unfortunately there hasn't been many note 2's on CL in my area, a few around christmas but other than that none. But I have seen a few on swappa that I am interested in. I also checked celltraderonline but it looks like a lot of the deals on there are from what I called the "power buyers" that used to be on here until the marketplace closed. So needless to say many of those guys do several deals with each other, and they have a lot of extra money to throw around, so I don't see a good deal for me over there. (one guy I remember on here bought 90% of the iphone 5's that were posted here, I know of 4 he bought for around $800 ea)
But one thing that is kind of odd is I got a call from my parents wondering if they could be added to my VZW account (they have sprint and well, sprint is sprint) and their contracts are up in April. They said they don't need "fancy phones", so if VZW will allow me to add lines to my account I could give on of them my rezound and get their subsidized priced phones (note 2 for $300).
I have no clue if verizon will allow me to add a line to my unlimited plan though.....I know I can't add lines and get unlimited on those phones, but maybe I can get on the old family plans?
Well here's a little update, my parents called me and said they are going to Verizon from sprint and if I wanted they would give my and I their subsidized phones. So it looks like my wife will get her iPhone 5 and I will get my note 2, hopefully for around $500.

I've been shopping around, and the best price I've seen thus far is $699.99 at Verizon corporate. My plan would be to get Best Buy to price match it, then put it on my credit card with 18 months same as cash financing.

Worth every cent and then some to keep it though.
if you are on a family plan, you can add lines with 2gb of data. It will cost about 40 a line to add (9.99 line fee and 30 for 2gb of data). If you are not on a family plan, I don't think they will let you keep unlimited when switching to it.

You can take a old verzion dumb phone in. Activate a share line with no features. Use the new activation price on the note 2 and throw it on your main line. Drawback is your locked in at 10 dollars a month for two years for the new share line.

Just get it at best buy. I got my note 2s with 100 gift cards due to a price match and recently got an s4 from a deal match at Dell for 129. It isn't worth it to buy through Verizon since they don't price match and you can get it elsewhere for cheaper from vendors that don't charge a restocking fee.
Never never never buy a phone directly from the carrier. Carriers don't offer deals that can beat third party stores such as Radio Shack, Best Buy, Wirefly and etc. For example, yesterday I purchased the Galaxy Note 2 and S3 from Radio for the total cost of $179. The Note 2 is only $149 at Radio Shack online store and Wirefly.

I always print an online offer and head to Best Buy and they price match. Just did it a month ago for an s4 for my daughter. They matched amazons sale price and saved $100 by not going to a Verizon store.

I clicked the link and it shows $699. I then tried to search Amazon and it said not available for my zip code? Weird!
Sprint is giving me the boot for excessive voice roaming and best buy said they'd give me $275 for my phone and it's only 199 for a new line so I'm already making money off the deal I guess I'm just being greedy and trying to squeeze them for more lol.
Gonna miss unlimited data but I guess the silver lining is being paid to switch. Bonus is I'm running goodness rom now and it's available for Verizon too!

Honestly I work at a Verizon premium retailer and I can say I don't know why we don't price match. Thing I hate though is people getting the phone somewhere else and asking us to fix the screwed up plans or transfer contacts and put on screen protectors. If you don't want to spend the extra money here, don't ask us to do work for free, as we are 100 percent commision.

Only problem is he wants to transfer upgrade and when I got my Note 2, best buy told me that only Verizon could do it because they would only do it when I upgraded, not before and have it ready on my acct. Amazon couldn't do it either.
Looks like I missed Amazon's $149.99 price. I was going to hit Best Buy yesterday and got caught up with other things so it didn't happen and we figured on getting it Saturday. Amazon has it at $179.99 right now. Not bad and still the cheapest price for upgrading a line (new service is cheaper).
As to the upgrades, no, I won't be moving upgrades around. I'll be upgrading my wife's line as it's eligible for an upgrade. Then just move the phone to my line and reactivate her current phone. Once the Note 3 is out, I'll need to move my upgrade over to her line to do it again so I may run into the necessity of using Verizon there. I'll have to see how that goes.
Radio Shack is offering $149 for new customers & $199 for upgrade.

I did pick it up but thank you for the info. I ended up getting it at Best Buy on the last day of the gift card deal. The gift card was able to be used immediately so it came to $149 and I walked out of the store with the phone working. Now I just need to wait for Amazon to ship my case and memory card.

If you want to be a frugal shopper, you can provide your receipt to the kiosk booth to get back your $20 for the difference in the price drop.

Now that Sprint has officially announced the Galaxy Note 3 launch on October 4, let us discuss! It's kind of strange they haven't set up pre-orders yet. This leads me to believe they probably won't. With a little over a week left until the launch, it appears that those who order online won't be able to get it until October 7th/8th. Also heard rumors that Sprint won't have the pink option or 64GB version available. It sucks but oh well. At least 32GB is the base model this year!

-I'll be getting black, since white has LED light bleed.
-No Galaxy Gear
-I have two bumper cases (clear and white/black) and a crappy S-style tpu kickstand case with a few screen protectors. I'm not sure If I will get the flip cover yet.

I bought my SGII Epic 4G Touch through them back in 2011. I bought it for the same price as directly from Sprint while convincing them to give me a discount equal to the activation fee (~$36) - essentially to "waive" it. I also accumulated some best buy reward zone points
Best Buy is a fine option when purchasing on contract if you can find a deal. I'd probably look elsewhere for off-contract and full-retail purchases, though.

I plan on getting it in black. Want to get the smart veiw cover but ill get that on amazon. Do we know if it will have wireless charging?

I have been doing a time analysis of how (email, calendar, social media, video's & gaming, music) and where (location) I use my phone the most etc..
I have come to the conclusion that the places where I happen to use my phone the most and during its most intense use of bandwidth also happens to be the places in which I have access to great wifi signal. I know this isn't how most folks use their phones but its really how I use my phone and when I don't usually have a great signal. I just pop out my mifi and I am having a great signal once again. Is it irritating that Sprint dropped the triband? Yup and Yup. Is it a deal breaker for me to go to a slower and smaller phone? Nope and Nope..
The things that I am more interested in hearing about is
What Dac are they using for the audio processor?
Can I use usb 3 as a digital for my audio amp?
What will the transfer speed be on my USB3 HD which is running a 500gb SSD
Battery life
Has anyone been able to use a 128GB sd card in the unit, and have it recognize all 128GB?
What screen protector works best in direct sunlight.
I wonder how the charging port lines up compared to the Note II. Hoping I can still use my Note II car cradle and charger

The Note 3 for Sprint will be a world phone. Love it!
So after 3 years and 4 months since I've owned Sprint 4g phones, a new tower in the area went live with LTE. Here's to hoping it doesn't take another 3 years for the tower near my home to be upgraded. I'm ready for my Note III....

How does that work exactly? Is there a GSM radio?
God I hope the gallery app isn't a laggy piece of crap again.. Even after disabling Facebook sync and all other sync options it was supper slow and laggy viewing photos in the app.

just so you know. I havn't had a problem with best buy increasing price for products but if that is the case, they price match with the carriers. they also give you the lower price for pre-orders. for example if you order an item and its fairly certain it will retail for say $50 and then release rolls up and it is $60 they will sell it to you for the $50. you may just have to mention it to the employee checking you out but the managers know whats up.

I have had to mention the PM once and the employee just had to get the manager to sign off on it which he had absolutely no prob doing. took maybe 2 min after I had mentioned it. then the lady behind me did the same thing because she was there for the same product for her son I would assume. (high end gaming headset)

Yes all the GN3's have CDMA, GSM, and LTE from what I know of.

I contacted the owner "Corey" from Trim Leather.
And he says he will have a line of cases out within 2 weeks for the Galaxy Note 3.
I know someone who has an Iphone case and the work is pretty awesome.
This will be my case for the GN3.

With the new one up program, if i am eligible for a upgrade, do i have to trade in my phone.? Id like to keep it for my daughter. Also what exactly do you pay for when doing this? Any money up front? I appreciate any advice or insight
