connect your microsd to your pc with phone o with an adapter(better)
you can partition your sdcard with a partition manager, for example:
easus partiion manager, gparted...
you must have 2 partion 1-for apps(ext4) and 2-for your data(example music,photos...)

I don't have card adepter. Is there any way to do this? Please help. I have a little space on Internal memory.

Root your phone if you haven't already and install FolderMount, since the other options haven't worked for you. I use that and it's fine.

[Q] LG Optimus L9: How to install apps to sd card

By default, internal memory call is "sdcard" and sdcard will call "ex-sdcard" , so, apps will install on "sdcard". it make internal memory get low when i install some apps with big data.
Now, my sdcard is free to 3,5Gb but i can't install any app because "sdcard" is full :crying:
anyone can help me solve this ?

The phone has the internal memory mounted on /sdcard, and the external sd card mounted on /sdcard/external_sd.
Many apps save their data on /sdcard, so in the internal memory.
I used this script to mount the data from my external sd to the right location (you need root and busybox):
Code:
busybox mount -o bind /sdcard/external_sd/Android/data /sdcard/Android/data
Code:
busybox mount -o bind /sdcard/external_sd/Android/obb /sdcard/Android/obb
This will move the data to the external sd. To move the app (apk file) you should use something like this:
Code:
busybox mount -o bind /sdcard/external_sd/data/app /data/app
I'm using ScriptManager to run the scripts at boot.
Why on earth would LG release the phone like this? It makes sd cards useless. Apps don't use the sd card at all and install extra data to the tiny internal storage itself which is only 2Gb. I can't even download offline maps because I don't have enough space. Has LG acknowledged the problem? I'm going to return this phone because of this

LG added Apps To SD
Hi Friends,
I had decided to root my LG L9 once my warranty period gets over to get App to SD functionality added.
But now LG has incorporated this functionality in its May, 13 's Software update.
So now no need to root any more.
Just go and update your OS using "Software Update" and use App to SD functionality in "App Settings"
Don't forget to click on Thanks button.
Enjoy :good:

I looked for a software update. I'm up-to-date. Can't move anything and can't find App to SD functionality in "App Settings". I would love to do this. I went from a phone with more space to this one and it's driving me batty that I have to uninstall 3 apps I'd kind of like to keep to update one I really want to keep. I got my LG Optimus L9 in July 2013 and it almost immediately had a software update. I would appreciate any help if this is at all possible without rooting.

My phone is updated. A bit more detail in the instructions would be very helpful. I'm tired of running apps serially (one after the other) because I have to uninstall one to install another. Either that, or instructions on how to increase the internal memory on the L9 would be very helpful.

Installing to sd card I have no solution for, but moving apps to sdcard (which is as good a solution as any) is simple to do with stock software. Go to your standard file explorer. It takes you default to external sd (being your external sd card) and sdcard0 (being your phone's internal memory).
You then tap on sdcard0; it shows you all the folders present there. At the bottom you see an Icon depicting a sdcard with an Arrow to it. As you want to move apps to your sd card you tap on it and it shows all your folders with a White empty Square. You then tap all the apps you want to move to your card and tap on "move" at the bottom. That takes you back to the startscreen with external card and sdcard0. You then tap on your external card and "paste". Job done!
Good luck!!

I guess no one is interested in the development of this device maybe due to this reason very less support is available for it.
BTW does ur device shows accessibility services???
Its actually not possible to swap memory from your external sd to internal phone storage because your phone already has the max internal memory (think of a box with water. putting extra (smaller) boxes in the big box, wont allow you to have more water in the big box
If this helped, please hit thanks

Try to use MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition to partition you sd card.
I don't know if this is avialable for your phone, but there may be a way to swap your sdcards. Meaning force your phone to use the external sd instead of the internal sd when creating new files. Again, not sure if you can do this on your device
1)Root your phone
2)Partition your sd card
3)Install Link2SD

Checked this view. The storage doesn't appear to swap after hitting the 'External > Internal' button. Have you had any luck on your phone? Perhaps I'm being an idiot and setting it up wrong.
Backup all your data to ExtSdcard
1./ Hard reset your phone
2./ Setup your phone as a new phone
3./ Root your phone
4./ Install Root External 2 internal from GP
5./ Use Root Explorer copy all folders from SDcard to ExtSdcard
6./ Open Root External 2 internal app --> Setting
- Check on Default SGS3 Roms
- Check on Use per Defaul
- Touch on The ext. sdcard device access --> change 179:49 to 179:9 (this is block of Ext Sdcard on my mega 5.8, on others i don't know)
7./ back and touch on External > Internal, At boot if init.d
8./ Restart your phone
Use Root Explorer to chech you Sdcard and see, now your Ext Sdcard swapped as Sdcard
But, after that i can not see my internal Sdcard, i am still finding out the way to fix it
inside Storage i am still seeing the Internal as 8gb but in Root Explorer it is my 32g Ext sdcard
Hope this can help you.
If any you find out the best way to swap Ext Sdcard, please share.
Cheers.

Unfortunately the dev/author stopped updating in November 2012 long before 4.2.2. So although it will work on 4.1 it will not work anymore on 4.2.2.
I already pm @codlab about this but unfortunately he does not have a device anymore to test/start updating.

[Q] Move to SD option in App Manager

I have a D618 (4GB internal), and I noticed that there is a "Move to SD" option in the app manager, I tried it, but the app data is still in the internal memory.
And I heard that Kitkat devices have write issues with the SD card, and there is an app for fixing that, but I haven't tried it since my phone is not yet rooted.
Anyone here who has a rooted phone want to try?
Thanks
Move to SD only moves part of the apk file not app data.
It's not affected by the kitkat write issue.
My idea
Use GL to SD. For this you MUST HAVE ROOT. I root my G2 Mini just for it.
