I remember reading a lot of Samsung backplates when the note was announced. To date I can't find these any where, in store or on the internet. It looks like they haven't been released yet. Is there a time for this?

Accessories for the Note 3 have taken an extremely long time to hit retail or anywhere else. Best Buy just started selling the S-View cases no more than a week ago and the phone has been out since September on some carriers. They still don't carry any other cases besides that one. There online site is starting to populate with stuff such as the wireless charging back and one other case, but that's it. Still not in stores either. Dont know what the hold up is with the Note 3 accessories.

I'm wondering how people in the US are buying their HTC Flyer. I thought Bestbuy sold them but I went to 4 best buy on yesterday and none of them had stock. None of them knew when or if they would get more. I looked online and no best buy in my area has them (very odd since I live in L.A.). Is there another place to get them for $299? Is this device discontinued? I really don't want to go the ebay route. Thanks in advance!
When the price drop occurred most places sold out without any new inventory .... I don't think they are getting more shipments as they are trying to get rid of all of the accessories ...

Looks like Best Buy and HTC pulled a "Touchpad" at better than salvage pricing. Our Best Buy says they are waiting for deliveries of the new Jetstream model, but I can't see much demand for device that costs $699 and requires a two year contract on AT&T.
No fire sale, they lowered the price to compete with the Kindle Fire. After that they've been selling out quickly. I purchased mines two weeks ago. One store in NYC had them. The following week every store in my area had them.

Bestbuy.com lists it as online only. I don't know if they do a ship to store option.. If so, that will save a few bucks on shipping costs

I lucked out and got the last one in my area.
I got mine about 2.5 weeks ago at the BB here. They only had 3 left. I went back to BB 2 nights ago to get the invisible shield by Zagg ($9.99) and I got the last one.
They still have cases and styluses, though.
The stores in the New Orleans area still had them when I visited over the weekend.
well, 4 out of 10 stores in or near Omaha have them in stock based on the website and they show as backordered otherwise. While I think the 7" is an ideal size for my needs, I think the general market may lean toward the larger screens as a mainstream device and the smaller screens thought of more as book readers.

Thanks for the input guys. I just left one best buy and they didn't even have the flyer on display anymore. I have a cousin in Texas who is close to a best buy that has stock so I will have him buy it for me. Everything seems to indicate that the flyer is at the end of it's life and I have to wonder if it will be updated to HC or ICS. Nevertheless, I still want to buy one since it is pocketable and allows me to take precise notes.
I picked mine up about 2 weeks ago and i got the very last one. I used to work at the geeksquad in the store and i was talking to the GM and he was saying they sold out really quick after the price drop. He didnt mention anything about it being discontinued though.
The Flyer is not being discontinued, it's just been selling really well.
I had been looking for a flyer for a couple of weeks, checking my best buy every day. All stores close to me had been showing out of stock. Then last weekend I went to the store and they had 1 in the store so I bought it. It was new and unopened so it wasnt a return. I think its just taking a while to full stock. I'm sure the price drop on accessories is because they have too much on the shelf vs the number off flyers in stock.

I just bought mine yesterday. Had to drive to gretna to the bestbuy mobile store to get teh last one, after visiting the 3 stores in/around Metairie and calling the houma store (only one to show inventory online). After calling around I lucked out and the BBM store had 1 that wasn't showing in inventory. There aren't any within a 50 mile radius of new orleans! These things must be selling like hotcakes.
Want to pick one up but wasn't ready to pull the trigger. Only 3 stores have any in inventory. Concerned there will be no back fill and this is my last shot

You may be on your last shot...seems that Adroid device shelf-life is counted in "dog months" - in other words 5 months on the market is nearly 3 years - they definitely are not tied to an annual upgrade cycle.

Looks like they were dumping their stock with the Note 2 coming out soon there will be alot of price slashing for stuff for the note once stock is gone you wwont see it again though.

I was going to order it from samsung but there telling me order now are "pre orders" to get on the "back order" list. Could take 2-4 weeks or more.

I don't think they were going to be released in the US until the 23rd (I think both something I read somewhere and the Tmo guy said that. That doesn't make it true, though.) My local Tmo and AT&T stores don't have them.
Unless the case is released with the phone, I think I'm going to hold off buying my next phone until I can put the case I want to on it. My anxiety is through the roof carrying a naked & big (fragile) phone, but I can't bring myself to put my SIM & SD cards back in the old phone. Hopefully they'll be releasing more durable screens by that time; it sounds like that'll be a big Q1 2014 thing.

I'm quite annoyed at Samsung right now. US owners who bought it at launch get 50$ free google play credit, yet those of us in the UK get bugger all (apart from this flip case and that's only counted if you bought it in the last 5 days). Come on Samsung, sort it out!

upgraded at phones4U shortly after the note 3 launched and not even 2 weeks later they have an offer where if you take a new 4g contract you get the galaxy gear FREE!
2 of my friends did it and they have £300 smartwatches that cost them nothing while i got nothing.

Just had an email saying my claim is valid (Vodafone sent a paper invoice yesterday which I was able to email to Samsung). Lets see how long it'll take for the cover to arrive then.

Still waiting for mine. Turns out that despite emailing them a photo of the Invoice, them replying with thanks we'll process your claim, they then ignored the attachment. Fortunately I was able to annotate a picture highlighting the supplier, date and product using the phone and it's finally been processed.

Got it delivered today.
Mine finally arrived, but I took the cover off after a day. I use Light Flow to managed the LEDs and they get hidden.
Trying to take photos becomes a pain because you need to hinge the away from the lens, but not over the screen.
If you have the cover flipped back for too long if will stay open. You can restore the position by leaving your phone face down, but then my phone is face down.
Placing on my stand at night, one position results in the cover falling forward, another results in the phone being pushed away, at night it tends to be dark and I just want to put the phone down.
During the night I can't quick glance at the phone, tap home or power to check the time.
It's a nice cover, feels good, just impractical. Thank god I didn't spend £40 on it.

So, I was looking for cases, etc, and went to walmart online site and did a search for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cases and found a bunch of stuff. yes, their tag ging sucks and I got a bunch of results that included S3 and iphone (??).
However, amongst all the irrelevant results there were a lot of cases and charging cables (does anyone know of anywhere to get some of those proprietary cables cheap, by the way?) on the walmart site. Almost all of them have free shipping.
Oh, and they're by some no name brand, "Insten".
Are these any good accessories and has anyone bought them?
Just any advice would be most appreciated.
I would like to know this as well..one seen the off brand online products for the note 3 but Walmart stores refuses to acknowledge the note 3 existence in its stores ..no accessories what so ever ..at least not where I've checked ..I might take a gamble on a few charging cables though

To be fair I can understand why Walmart acts like the Note 3 doesn't exist. It's because their customers aren't the type that would buy such an device like this. I mean watch their TV ads. Their typical advertised smart phone is low to mid end ones. So why bother trying to carry accessories for a product that their typical customers have no interest in.

Yeah on Walmart.com they are. But from the customers I see in their stores not to mention a few reactions I've gotten when using my Note 3 while at Walmart let's just say that the Note 3 might be a bit too much for them.
Heck just glance at People Of Walmart sometime. You really want those people carrying around our beloved Note 3? Be honest now.

I understand what you're saying but they carry other high end smartphone accessories for phones such the 5s...The moto. X..LG g2..The htc one ..and when the note 2 was still dominant I got plenty of cases from the store itself ...it's really not a clear reason why they don't support the note 3 in stores

Yeah but the difference is that Walmart carries the iCrap 5S in store. I've never seen the Note 3 itself at my local Walmart stores let alone the Note 2 for that matter.
Yea I've never seen the note 3 in there but I've definitely seen the note 2 for sale in store and other high end devices and accessories for them ...weird .I guess it depends on the location

The iPhone for good, bad, or otherwise, is where it is because of marketing. The device isn't any better, it's actually, in a lot of ways worse, but how many people who can't even turn on their computers buy it? They do because they don't want to know what is happening under the hood. Yes, the device and all accessories are more expensive, but 99.9% of the people buying it are clueless.
There are no walmarts in NYC, so I wasn't sure if they carried any N3 or accessories for it. Now, you guys have answered my question, thanks.
