[Q] How to fit side loaded apps to screen? - Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9" Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Is there any app or change I can make to force side loaded apps to fit the screen? I was trying to play Avadon: The Black Fortress that I got from the Humble bundle a while back but it is really tiny on the screen it only takes up about 3" of the 7" screen.

[Q] APK is installed but not shown on the main screen

Hi,
I installed an app not from the market place but from the internent,
the app installed and opened fine but then i dont see it on the "home" screen
i can see it under the downloadable apps from the "settings" menu
please advice
Just go to the Apps screen, push on your new app's icon for about one second, then start dragging ... drag it to the home screen. Most 3rd party installations do not automatically add the icon to the home screen.
The Apps screen can be accessed by touching the icon of 6 square dots on the upper right of your Prime's screen.
Moved from the ipad, didja? Figures...
Sent from my tablet thing with XDA Premium.

[Q] Alter device screen size & origin?

Hello. Does anyone know of an app or hack that will allow me to constrain the OS display to a certain size and position on the physical screen? I have a Nexus 7 that I would like to use for an antique radio mod project. It would live behind an opening in the wood case. But the screen is too big (in both dimensions) for the opening. So I would like to be able to make the OS think it is working with fewer pixels and choose the new origin. That way I could keep the notification bar at the new top, the soft buttons at the new bottom, and see both new edges.
Thanks for any pointers!

[Q] Removing Additional Home Screens

Got the GoTab 7" tablet recently and have been trying to tidy it up a little. I don't like the way there are four home screens - I only need one! I thought the likes of Nova Launcher would address this but it appears not to allow me disable additional screens. When I attempt to remove the screen by dragging it into the X at the top of the screen, it just bounces back into it's original position. I can move the screens around, but dragging and dropping onto or above the big X does absolutely nothing.
It's running 4.2.2 with no option to check for updates. GoTab say that if it's not showing an update check, than there is no update available.

Question Always open app in side-by-side when unfolding...

Anyone know if it's possible to always open the app (assuming the user has an app open) in side-by-side mode when unfolding?
Presumably this would need to be done with Tasker...
for that I use "Split Screen Launcher" in the play store BY paprikanotfound
*note sometimes it might be glitchy if one app was already open. but its a good enough way.
Actually you can do this natively by launching the apps in split-screen, then taking the splitter and saving to the home screen.
What I want though is for the app that your currently using in fold mode - when you unfold it automatically is on the left side of the screen and the home-screen shows on the right ready for you to launch a second app...
in that case you might be able to do it by using a new profile
choose State > Display Orientation > Landscape
then create a task for it search for split screen toggle and voila
*note this require my xml file

Click to collapse
unfortunately using custom launcher breaks the default split screen shortcuts at least on my device.
