- Flash GApps zip from internal SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)

- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

Yes, fore sure, It comes with all standards bugs.
I'm currently fixing bugs when using profiles to change bluetooth or data state.
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-2732
RC1 already contains the fix for bluetooth.

@Qaweck From the looks of this, the dev on this has ended. Right?
Reason for asking is that I am looking for a custom ROM that reading NFC tags on the I9100P is works.
I tested this ROM and found that it did not read any tags.
Do you know if it is possible to make a ROM like that?
As i am willing to dedicated a machine for just building roms for our I9100P if needed.
Ps: I am not a dev, but do know how to read and are willing to set of some time to make this work. :good:

I'm current testing the 10.2.1 version. I will upload it soon.
The 10.2 branch is freezed now so you should not expect other build after.
To have nfc woks you must use the original battery which has the antenna built in.

Hey Qaweck, Tnx for this, and will give it a go today... And i am using the original battery..
PS: Still looking for an extended battery with the NFC part like the Korian version of the samsung extended battery pack..
Finally Lunch Break! Flashing time... hehe
---------- Post added at 12:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:48 AM ----------
Just tried out the cm-10.2.1-RC1-i9100p.zip and I did not manage to get it to read any tags..
I do see the NFC option and it is enabled and I also did an extra restart to make sure thing has settled, but again no go with reading tags..
So back to stock for me.. :crying: :crying: :crying:
Do anyone know of a Custom ROM for the I9100P that actually read tags?

Did you try android beam with i9100p an other android device ?
Did you test you tag with an other android device ?
I'm using the tags provided in the phone box and its ok.

HI mate
I did try with the two tags the phone reads with stick ROM and I do not use beam, so did not get around to test that, as i just use it for reading tags..
So i find it a bit strange that it reads the tags with stock but not with Custom roms. And this does prove that the tags are fine...
Reason I want it to read the tags is that I am using a NfcRing to unlock the phone, and i SOOOOOO wish i could have that with a custom rom. :fingers-crossed:
But i just do NOT get this, why it does not read the tags. As you say it does fine for you. HUmmm...
DO you have any tips on how i start troubleshoot this???

First tip: nfc is disabled while the phone is locked.
You can use nfc taginfo to see that the phone can read the tag (unlocked).

Its true about no nfc when it is locked, but that is ONLY before a bit of sweet modding..
Have a look: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2478163
Else I will flash it again and give NFC TagInfo a go and see if it can read any tags and let you know.
EDIT: Well Tried NFC Taginfo and it did not read the tag at all with this ROM but NFC Taginfo reads if fine on stock rom.. hum..

Hi. I'm in the same boat as unubtanium and want to give this ROM a try, but I have an initial very stupid question ... where's the "download tab"?

You should use a web browser to access the download section.
Sent from my GT-I9100P using xda app-developers app

Tried various browsers and then realised I was using the XDA 2010 style which doesn't have the banner containing the download link, switched to XDA 2013 Beta and it was instantly available.
Anyway, have downloaded and tested the ROM and I'm getting exactly the same results as unubtanium. Options are available in settings but I get no response from any tags or devices that work fine using the stock ROM

Do you have tried a full wipe ?

Make sure you have odin in case its not functional. After many test with bdogg it may be functional we had sdcard issues surely solved and signal issues which may be an existing problem.
Everything went well installing the rom. It feels snappier too. But I found out I lost root. Tried installing supersu too but dint succeed. So had to revert back to carbon.

udev, have you thought about being an official CM maintainer? lol
but i will be watching this ROM's development. i'm on freaking stock right now (2.3.5) and waiting for a stable build of 4.3.
there's been a ton of hype about 4.3 being nicer and faster than 4.2, which was honestly crap on the fascinate. i ran cm10.1 for quite a while, but the phone never really had enough ram, and almost everything lagged.

You cant get anywhere without devil kernel which gives you more ram with bigmem enabled. I cant be official I only did this because I thought Jt (official maintainer) would soon have the fascinate ready for 4.3. My kernel does have devil in it I changed it a bit from the original creator DerTeufel.

Proximity sensor not working (or didn't in previous builds)
I switched back to CM10.2 for now but am looking forward to CM11 when some bugs are fixed.
For me I had no data aside from WiFi all the other bugs are tiny and will be fixed but I'm leaving for work soon so I had to restore back up, looking good though guys thanks for the work. :good:
If you don't install the ROM using the latest version of CWM you won't have data. Not sure why it doesn't work through TWRP.
Hope that helps.

There seems to be a nasty sound bug when music is playing and you turn your screen off and on and unlock it. Fixed it by disabling lock sounds under sounds menu and changing screen lock to pattern. Version Information
Status: Stable
Stable Release Date: 2014-07-12
Created 2014-07-06
Last Updated 2014-10-12
Reserved
Notes:
Builds on/after Dec. 24 will have LVMv2 implemented (thanks to @Meticulus), where mmcblk0p13 (/system), mmcblk0p14 (/system/vendor), and mmcblk0p16 (/data) are placed in a logical volume group. This enables /system to be enlarged from 290MB to 600MB (or more as necessary later on). The packages that were removed from the first build (Apollo, File Manager, etc.) have all been re-added. Also, the removal of the vendor hack means that from now onwards, there is no need to reflash gapps after updating the rom.
-Installation Notes
--On the first flash, if the system logical volume is not present or
is less than 600M there is an assert error. This is so that if anyone
needs to backup information contained in /data, they can. In order to
proceed with the installation, the zip must be flashed a 2nd time.
--During the 2nd flash partitions in the logical group are wiped and
the logical volumes are created and formated then the /etc/fstab and
/etc/recovery.fstab are switched so that, when we hand everything off
to the normal rom installer, the new logical volumes are mounted.
-Reverting to a PRE-LVM ROM
--In the YP-G70 the "recovery", be it CWM or TWRP and in the kernel's
recovery-ramdisk. So in order to get a different recovery you just
flash a different kernel. So to get back to a PRE-LVM ROM, you just:
1. Reboot to recovery like normal.
2. Flash your PRE-LVM ROM like normal.
-- Note: All we really care about at this point is that the kernel
(boot.img) gets flashed. Ignore any other errors!
3. After the flash, Power off.
4. Hold volume up and power on, till you get to recovery.
5. Full wipe, including /system

Installation Instructions:
1. Reboot to recovery and make backup.
2. Do a full wipe.
3. Flash rom. You will see an error pop up. This is perfectly normal. Flash the rom again
4. Flash Gapps.
5. Flash US kernel if necessary
6. Have fun!
Update Instructions:
1. Reboot to recovery and make a backup
2. Wipe cache/dalvik cache
3. Flash rom
4. Flash US kernel if necessary.
5. Enjoy!

ROM: cm-11-20140517-UNOFFICIAL-venturi.zip - 175.13 MB
Gapps: Any will work, but I recommend PA's Mini Modular Package from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942.
Note: Builds now include a unified kernel, so there is no need to flash an additional kernel for any device

Notes: This includes the fixes made by Meticulus to the camera, so now the back facing camera takes pictures if you set it to VGA. Note that if you are updating from the previous build, there is no need to reflash gapps. However, US users still need to flash the US kernel after flashing this rom.
If you are coming from a build before Dec. 24, keep in mind that data will have to be wiped in order for lvm to be setup. The installer will give you a warning the first time you try flashing and then error out so that you can backup your data if you forgot, and then you can flash the zip again.

Notes:
1. Our system partition is a little tight on space, so i had to remove a few packages during compilation so that everything fits. The things i have removed should all be replaceable with 3rd party apps. Here is a list of what has been removed and what you can use as a substitute:
Code:
CMWallpapers - Google images
Apollo - Any music app
CMFileManager - Any file manager
LockClock - Deskclock
CMUpdater - this is for official cm roms so there was really no need for this
2. Use the Gapps I have linked. Standard Gapps wont work because they are too big for the system partition.
3. This is a beta build, so things may crash or eat your cat. Flash at your own risk and make sure to make a backup before flashing
4. The rom includes the INTL kernel, so US users need to flash the US kernel every time after flashing/updating this rom.

Well a solution we were looking into was increasing the size of the system partition during updating like the aries people have done

If recovery is broken then there is probably not a way to flash this rom with twrp. You could try grabbing the boot.img from the zip and use something like flashify to install it (although im not sure if it would work)

That same flag is in your build, just comment it or remove it in your build.prop should suffice though there's something from CM that should come soon regarding this functionnality.

So changing low ram to false will enable the transparency? Did I read that correctly?

Rom Toolbox and the built in text editor, both no go. also unable to apply fonts from rom toolbox and can't delete bootanimation to replace with other bootanimation.
update 12/17: installed SuperSU and romtoolbox now works correctly, seems built in super user not working fully like in initial release of 4.3
Hot diggetty!
however, as I understand the paradigm, steps 7 and 8 are in the wrong order in the instruction list:

Yes. I just did it. Transparent status bar works now!
Works nice for me, thank you for this
For Those who are getting errors (eg. status 7), just flash a 4.3 rom based before jumping from 4.2 to 4.4.
@iurnait
Have you ever heard about Viper4Android? Well, I really like that app, and is a must have for me, but the last rom where it works is CM 10.1 (4.2.2) and looks like that the problem can be fixed by the rom maintener, just have a look here
If is it possible to get Viper4Android works on KitKat in this device should be really nice for me

We'll not support users and answer questions from users which:
are running a custom kernel
have flashed mods
modified system files
didn't follow our intructions word by word
are unfriendly
And most important: DON'T READ THE OP
What's working:
Wifi (connection, tethering, etc)
Bluetooth (need quick patches in download link)
Camera, video codecs
RIL (Calls, SMS, mobile data)
Storage (both internal and external)
MTP storage (both internal and external)
Offline charging
zRAM (compressed-RAM swap)
GAPPS
Tethering (USB, Wifi, Bluetooth)
GPS
Sound recording
Torch (flashlight)
BUGS/Not working:
Laggy recorded videos. In this case, use MX Player, choose SW codecs when you play these videos, they will become normal
Switching to other fonts will get bootloops after restart. In this case, if you use TWRP recovery, go to File Manager >> delete "themes" from /data/system would help you escape this without factory reset
First time installing CyanogenMod 12.1 to your Galaxy Core Prime, or coming from another ROM:
Install TWRP Recovery
Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo (Vol-up+Home+Power)
Do a Nandroid backup! (Optional and only if you weren't running TouchWiz before)
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + format /system partition)*
Install the ROM from sdcard using TWRP Recovery
Optionally install the Google Apps ( get it here: https://opengapps.org ) (pico GAPPS recommended)
