[FIRMWARE] SBF 4.2.2 Camera Updates for VZW, ATT, TMO, USC, and Sprint - Moto X Android Development

These are the 4.2.2 camera update files needed for jcase's SlapMyMoto root procedure for 4.4. These are posted in the interim while the source website is down: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost/list.php
The xmls have already been edited to remove line:
Code:
<step var="max-download-size" operation="getvar"/>
Verizon Wireless:
VZW_XT1060_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-MX-17-57-X-1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
AT&T:
ATT_XT1058_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-X-17-54_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
T-Mobile:
TMO_RETAIL_XT1053_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-X-17-57_MR1_1FF.xml.zip
US Cellular:
USC_XT1055_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-MX-17-57_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
Sprint:
ghost_sprint-user-4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-MX-17-57-1-1-release-keys-cid9.xml.zip

this would have saved me a giant headache last night when trying to go from 4.2.2 rooted back to stock...
i ended up just using RSD lite to flash the 4.4 factory image. that seemed to work.

Added update files for AT&T and T-Mobile

You're awesome!

The xmls have already been edited to remove line <step var="max-download-size" operation="getvar"/> so no need to do that for RSD Lite.

Why is it asking me for a password? When I try to open it, it says: "archive is not readable."

Which one? None are password protected.

Thanks OP! I wish I had these a few days ago haha. I had to use the GSM dev image for my T-Mobile Moto X.

Your download is probably corrupt. Try again?

So anyone has used these files to go back to 4.2 from 4.4? Not seeing many talk about this and it makes me wonder if anyone has survived that attempt to go back...anyone? Thank you.

Hello everybody....
I update my sony tab via downloading from a post (i ain't remember where...). My version is now 4.0.3 and the kernel version is build 9 and the build number is TISU0017700. Is my tablet is updated OTA? Sry, if my question is stupid but if my tab is not updated OTA, I wanna flash back to previous rom and will root. I really had to root my tab. Pls help.....

If your tab is not rooted, then you cant do it. If it is rooted, put the rescue backdoor and downgrade to honeycomb. Go to this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1515720 . Follow pt. 7 of the FAQ. Credits to condi.
If i helped you, click the thanks button!!!

if you find, yes,it's a pre-root rom,you can downgree to 3.2.1,reference to AIO thread in dev form
if not,it's official rom(whether OTA or SD card flash).by now,it 's can't be root,so you can't go back

a friend is about to buy verizon galaxy note2 and was wondering if the GN2 can be programmed like the Galaxy S3?
is there a way to enter the diag mode for the GN2? can anyone test these codes and see if can enter diag mode
*#22745927 > enable hidden menu > dial *#7284# > Choose Qualcomm USB setting.
and take a screenshot..
if the above code gives the same result as in the verizon galaxy s3, I will post a tutorial in how to flash GN2 to any carrier..

Fyi... you don't need to flash the Verizon GN2 to get other carriers. The SIM is already unlocked and to get other carriers simply requires updating the APN database file. See the Android Central thread by DroidXcon.

you are correct but this only applies to GSM networks.. but if you are going to use CDMA networks such as cricket or pageplus, the sim card won't work and the phone needs to be programmed to their network
Is there a new unlock code for 4.4.2?
For Versions 4.3 and higher use

[Q] OTA removal Vzw Note 2

I am running Eclipse v1.3 on my rooted Verizon Note 2. I received a notice of an OTA software push. I deferred the update and attempted to remove the OTA files. Does anyone know the names of the files and where they are located so I may verify their deletion? I "think" I passed the last deferred time and have not yet received the OTA notice. I think I am in the clear, but I want to do what Reagan said, "Trust, but verify!"
Any help is very appreciated.
[I would have posted this in the ROM specific area, but since I am new at this, I was not allowed to post there.]

Looks like Eclipse is up to version 1.4 so it is probably the ROM OTA updater, not Verizon.

There is no ROM updater. It is the ota notification. OP you need to remove "sdm 1.0" I just used a root Explorer and deleted ie but whatever method you prefer. Just get rid of that sdm app

Let me help you. There is no ROM updater in Eclipse. Which is what the OP is running. Jelly beans and mean beans (and a couple others) does have one, but Eclipse does not (which is again what the OP is asking about). So I'm not sure what your picture of the updater from jellybeans proves?

What's the real difference and should the ATT version work better on their system?

It should. Any chance in you backing up that radio image in your ATT 4.3 screenshot and sharing the img?

I would, but unfortunately I don't have the AT&T version on a phone...I just seen that screen shot. I love the Dev Edition, but maybe would try the AT&T radio if I could get it.
I know a friend with the new ota, maybe I can get a hold of his phone and snag a backup. If I do...I will post it up.

It's not my doing! Enjoy!:good:
After trying the AT&T radio for a day, I can see no difference over the Dev Edition radio I been using for a couple weeks. They both work great for me. I am using Straight Talk LTE on AT&T towers and the coverage is great throughout the city. I get excellent voice coverage and 16-25MB download speeds in most locations...a couple spots I have seen speeds under 10, but very rare with either radio. Personally I don't think there is much difference in the 2 radio. Of course based on your location, you may get different results.

[GUIDE][ROOT]How To Install KitKat[NOOBPROOF]

This is just a thread for a YouTube video i made last week on how to install kitkat on the G2. I wasn't going to post it here, but why not. May aswell help out some of the people who are installing a ROM for the first time, so they don't clog up the dev threads.

You have a point, there are some people who should read OP's before posting in threads.
--
This should be labeled, "HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM ROMS ON YOUR G2". You should also mention the various models such as "LS980 = Sprint", "VS980 = Verizon", "802 = International", etc.
This is not official KitKat either but just a custom rom. Also, why is the status bar icons in the video blue vs KK White?
This video is a general blanket statement because I KNOW the VS980 has various Recoveries based off what version your stock rom is on. The latest update 12B updated the boot.img and broke the loki hack. So there are pre-11A and post-12B recoveries. There are also CWM and TWRP which some roms require. Also pushing 12B recoverying and running the loki script will yeild different results as flashing it through Flashify and FreeGee.
This video is hardly noobproof but more of a guide. You should state which phone variant you are doing in the OP a list of links like you do in the youtube description.
FYI, your method would bootloop a Verizon G2 and require you to download stock images and flash via LG's Flasher tool (which is a pain).
