Nah, but the whole build build is optimized by SM.

As always perfect... Thanx a lot Gnome! Loving the smoothness of the whole package!
Keep Em coming... I'm always down to flash a Gnome build!
Why is my friend not a Recognized Developer it's crazy if you ask me!
Sent from the Future Back to my Gnome II powered DeLorean!

I used cwm 6.0.4.3, wiped system, factory data reset and wiped dalvik. Flashed ROM, PA's latest gapps package and SuperSU 1.80.
It seems Googles backup and restore function is missing. All my WiFi passwords (from family members households are no longer stored) it didn't install any of the apps it usually does.
So I was wondering if it has something to do with the recovery chosen or if this is known.

Ah cool! I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I could have avoided by just using TWRP. I may finally make the switch to trwp anyways if its solid.

Just flashed it and i am loving gamma calibration preset ! Play store is fcing when i try to download something. Rest is fine so far

Working great for me as always, using banks gapps.

There is only a handful of custom roms that comes with its own customized kernel with lots of essential features.
Welcome back & keep it up @Gnome

I'm guessing ART doesn't work due to xposed integration?

See if increasing cpu voltages for all freq ( with Kernel Tunner ) helps. Increase it by 25mV.
If it still reboots give me a last_kmsg.

Off-topic but do you have any plans to port Paranoid Android? Really like the look of the Halo feature.

What is OmniROM?
A new Android custom rom has been announced at the BABBQ (Big Android BBQ) by @XpLoDWilD, @Chainfire, @Dees_Troy & Team. For more information go to omni rom's site: http://omnirom.org/

No problem. You do a great job.
You need to open bools.xml in the text editor of your choice. You're looking for the line that says
<bool name="config_voice_capable">false</bool>
There is a change in bool.xml - included in framework-res.apk needed. All you need to do is change false to true, so you should end up with
<bool name="config_voice_capable">true</bool>
After that you can install some less apk to have native SMS on deb again.

Looks good and no errors or force closes but I'm getting pretty bad battery life. Currently at 40% used in only 15 hours with less than an hour screen time and using wifi. Bbs screener attached. This is after setting up everything and first full charge.
As a reference, using stock 4.4 Rom previously would last at least 3 days with the same usage.

Thanks for the feedback! not too sure what to do to make better i think maybe its the sweep 2 wake functions causing that as well I noticed live wallpapers chewed up the battery as well. I'll take a look and see what I can find no guarantees though
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Forgot about s2w etc as I use a case with the magnet. Assume bulletproof has no config so I could install the full elementalx and disable that stuff to see if it helps.
I disabled the live wallpapers at the start and never use them anyway. So won't be that in my case.
Also don't have any partial or kernel wakelocks over about 3 mins so the thing is sleeping fine. Must be Wi-Fi on 100% but don't recall if stock Rom did the same thing?

using trickster you can disable s2w functions or a text editor will disable it. the only thing bulletproof does offer is adjustable clocks speeds. Finally from what i recall Wi-Fi is on 100% in stock roms
I'll try that next. Currently charging it up to test what happens if WiFi is set to turn off when sleeping. Because of lte, have to do airplane mode first then turn WiFi back on otherwise during sleep, WiFi shuts off and 4G kicks in which probably uses more battery.

Looks quite good. SMS features are available. Thx. :good:
Only one hint: BasicSmsReceiver.apk is not needed if CellBroadcastReceiver.apk is also added for the SMS feature.
dre, my idea didn't yield any better battery life. I then tried disabling s2w and still no difference.
Going to install stock rom to get some better baseline figures and try again as I like the rom.

Sorry to hear that its not working out...if you think its kernel related I could build one with stock kernel instead but to be honest I don't know how much of a difference it would make as bulletproof kernel is basically stock with s2w and d2tw functions :/
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Nah I wouldn't bother as I agree that the bulletproof kernel shouldn't cause any adverse effect. I've installed the stock 4.4.2 ROM and wil let it run a day or so to get a proper baseline with some BetterBatteryStat dumps then try yours again and compare. See if I can find where the extra drain is attributed to.
dre1187 have compared to stock and cannot find any appreciable difference in wakelocks (kernel or partial) or even CPU states for the same period of time and usage (actually under stock usage was higher even) except to say that this ROM has 3x the battery consumption. Very strange. Good luck with future builds, I'll give it another shot in the future.

Well i had issue's and was really pissed off but now that i know that it was a mistake by you and you're even acknowledging it,there's no problem at all,in fact nice work making it official and i already have a lot of ROM's to update anyway,i even wanted for someone to do it,I hadn't updated tipsy after it's initial release due to focussing on other ROM's,i was just upset that you didn't ask knowing that i already had it done before. But no problem now and again Nice work done. :good:
BTW tip for next time, know all the ROM's for our device before you start to work on it.

Well most of the custom ROMs have this, it will not be an issue unless you want to use 4g on second sim, shift to Sim1 otherwise.
For other parts, you can flash it as daily driver and no major issues.
Report I will add to the post. Thanks.
@premaca I have just flashed latest build I experienced random reboots during initial setup and then at startup. For now it looks stable.
Yas sensor doesn't get detected,on aosp caf thread it is being reported that ubertc toolchain up and above 4.8 creates problem for detection of yas sensor.
I'm using 2014818 redmi 2 prime,2gb ram variant.
Is there an update for Tesla
@premaca I think there is something wrong with the latest kumajaya source's,the phone reboots when there is an incoming call, happened in my AICP rom too,can you confirm this on TIPSY,if that is the case then i'll be sure it has something to do with the kumajaya's source's.

What's AOSP ?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
I add no features and i am not going to add something other.
What's CodeAurora Forums ?
Code Aurora Forum (CAF) is a consortium of companies with projects serving the mobile wireless industry. Software projects it concerns itself with are e.g. Android for MSM, Femto Linux Project, LLVM, MSM WLAN and Linux-MSM. Code Aurora is basically AOSP plus all Qualcomm specific enhancements and optimization.

Rom boot fine, pretty clean and smooth as expected.. i flashed gapps from opengapps (stock package) but i cant login, google play services give me fc, ill try with suggested gapps.. a strange settings found in Settings, Buttons, it seems made for phones with buttons backlight so is useless here and should be removed to keep AOSP clean i think.
ps. if you can add this line
Code:
<string name="reboot_title">Reiniciar</string>
<string name="reboot_confirm">El dispositivo se reiniciará.</string>
<string name="reboot_progress">Reiniciando…</string>
to all spanish strings in frameworks_base/core/... will be apreciated. :fingers-crossed:

this isnt a extra thing, its just a spanish translation of "Reboot" option in power menu.
@mistercheese, are the CAF optimizations only applied to the kernel, or to the ROM itself too? I'd install this ROM with aCC kernel, but if the optimizations are only in kernel's code, this makes no sense, 'cause I'll change it and so lose all the optimizations.

The kernel is just cm's CAF kernel and the optimizations is in the ROM. So flashing acc kernel can be a huge difference. I am also working on a kernel but that takes time.

All right. If I've understood that right, the ROM itself is optimized too. So, flashing it with another kernel doesn't mean that I'll lose alle the optimizations made by CAF. Thanks, I'll install this rom right now.
Ls990? Would like to try it out.
