Verizon?? thats technically a different phone, you can't flash that. please boot the stock kernel. If you don't have it you can get it from any of the ROM's in the Android development thread.

Telus One X+ - root stock?

Hello everyone,
I just got my new HTC One X+ from Telus and god this thing is fast! I really like the stock rom but I want my root priviledge back.
Currently, I have unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP recovery for AT&T model. Now I'm wondering how I can root without flashing a rom? Is it possible to just download su installer?
Thanks
Transfer SuperSU.zip from toolkit to your sd card and flash from recovery

no booting up

hey guys can anyone help me, i was on cm 10 and i wanted to install another sense 3.6 rom and i wiped everything and the rom doesn't want to start. it just gets stuck on the boot animation. also i cant even relock the bootloader since i cant get into the rom to turn on usb debugging, any help would be appreciated
can you get back into recovery? and don't worry about relockin your bootloader because that has nothing to do with flashing roms...
if you can get back into recovery go download the super wipe script in my sig and flash it then flash your sense rom...
when changing rom type your suppose to format the system also since it can cause compatibility issues...
OK thanks I'll try that

When you relock you don't loose s-off, so after flashing the desired firmware ruu all you have to do is unlock again with the same blob you used to unlock originally. Then install a recovery and root again. It's not difficult, just time consuming.

Have you tried a gingerbread stock Rom?
Also, you can download the ph85img.zip from my viper Rom or arhd and put it on the external sdcard and boot into bootloader.
See if that helps.
Make sure after you flash the update, you go into recovery and flash the Rom of your choice. And make sure to delete the ph85img.zip from the sdcard so it doesn't flash every time you go into bootloader.
What recovery are you using?
4 ext is preferred for my Rom.

Doesn't one have to have a RADIO update compatible with the version of such-and-such?
I don't remember which such-and-such we refer to, but I remember reading about flashing a radio to match something. Maybe someone else can drop a line here.

[TWRP Backup] Stock Boot.IMG/ System.Img(rooted)

This is a back up of the stock AT&T system image and the boot.img. This is to restore in case you forgot to back up and get stuck in a bootloop. other dev's feel free to use this as a base for your roms just mention me as the source. The System image is rooted but that's about the only thing different from bone stock
It's SW verison 1.12.502.18
Kernel version 3.4.0-g278eae8
THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP.. THIS IS TO BE RESTORED IN TWRP.
Instructions:
Unzip the zip file,
Copy the whole folder into your TWRP/BACKUPS/YOUSERIALNUMBER/ folder on your SDCard
Restore System and boot and you're good to go.

So fasboot oem lock + this + stock recovery is as good as returnable as we can get right?
I'm no expert but I would think you would want real stock, without root, if you wanted to return it?

you could always use supersu to unroot. There is an unroot option I believe. once you lock the bootloader again though it shows relocked instead of locked so they can tell you unlocked it and relocked it, if they even check. Most of the time they wont even check.. Just check it for physical/ water damage

Yes. I locked the boot loader. Then flashed the old RUU to get stock recovery. Then upgraded OTA. Then unlocked the bootloader again through HTCDEV. Then put TWRP on and rooted again. Long process but it works.

Please excuse my noobishness, but I've been trying to find the RUU and cannot seem to locate it. Can you post a link or direct me so I can flash the OTA as well. And thanks, been waiting since last night for someone to clarify OTA installation for root users. Also does it matter what ROM I am currently using? And one more thing(lol sorry,) please clarify or direct me as to how to 're-lock or lock boot loader. Thanks! Your all awesome!
