All Done - HTC One Max

You guys have fun. I'm done here.

What's up with that? Keep in mind most of the frustration for this devices forum is due to three variants being stuffed in one forum....those international guys....well you know

Lil' Phone Bricker update.

I have 2.3 version of phone bricker and I want to update to the 2.5 version, can I save it to my SD card and update through CWM without doing a wipe or losing any data? I've had some issues on 2.3 I figured a new flash or a full wipe would get rid of.
This should be in the lil phone bricker thread.

The rules of the forum clearly state any questions about roms not involving development should be asked in the Q and A

Update, just clear cache/dalvik for good measure.
But depending on your issues a full wipe may be the best bet mostly if you flashed my Rom coming from another Rom with no wipe.
very much appriciated thank you, also the blue theme friggin awesome on the phone

That really only applies to the forums that have dedicated Q&A threads ie not this one. Forums like the Captivate and the inspire that is true for. Here you should always ask in the development thread before making a new thread

His post count is less than 10; he can't ask in the development thread.

I have seen people with less than 10, I know its a rule but that the forum itself didn't let you.
Too lazy to search for them, not that I care cause I end up getting PMs instead.
I would rather they post so others can answer in case I am swamped.

I hadn't noticed his post count, and he referred to the rule so I just went with that

LiLChris06, I see you're always responding to people's questions, that is very cool of you!! Your ROM looks great I will be flashing this (first time flasher) I pick you to Captain my phone after many days or reading page after page after page.... Sail long Sail strong my dude!
Point is, if every person with a post count of less than 10 made a question thread we'd have a ton of new threads. Maybe if a dev made a q&a thread for their rom it would make for easier answering of questions for those with a smaller post count . It does suck if u have a question and you can't post in dev section, but at the same time, it pushes those people to contribute in other ways in other places. As well as search, which a lot of new members don't wanna do. They would rather just ask again even if their question has already been answered.

You don't want to see more questions posted here like mine yet you keep reviving the topic? I'm not going to day you're just trying to stack your post count but....
My question was answered unless you're going to add new information or something useful stop filling the thread with your wasteful posts, thanks to whomever actually answered my question the update was butter and all my reboot issues are gone love this rom.

Galaxy S III Carrier Specific Forums

I've seen this question batted about in various parts of the U.S. Variant sub-forums, but haven't seen a specific movement to get these Galaxy S III forums further sub-divided. Although the hardware is pretty much identical, isn't there problems, issues, Q&A, that is germane to specific carriers? Although I do not have my GS3 in hand waiting for Verizon, this forum is already becoming an incomprehensible jumble of affairs. We are not talking about a phone that is limited release, this is a huge release. The "General" conversation is going to be different as will be Q&A. I mean we already have witnessed hard bricks from those flashing international ROMS. And I know the mandra of "read and read more" but wouldn't people be more comfortable if they had a Sprint version GS3 to go into a "Sprint" GS3 forum? To see issues specific to their carrier like "my data speed sucks how about yours" or LTE is lit up in New York or Verizon put how much bloatware on their phones?
IDK, I'll be here reading everyday but it just doesn't seem to make sense to jumble all the carrier threads together. I've never done it but can we at least get a public opinion poll posted for users to chime in what they would like to see? Each variant sub-forum will still be huge simply because this will probably be the best selling Android phone of the year.
Finally I remain humble and grateful for all the help and learning I've gained from here; not making any demands but just a suggestion.
This is a very good point. I asked the exact same question in the moderator introduction thread and apparently nothing is scheduled to change so far. I think they should sub-divide this by variant, ie i747, 999, etc, similar to what was done in the one x forums. This is currently way too crowded to follow properly or contribute in a meaningful way. I think xda are not used to such sales numbers of a device and were ill prepared with their sub-forum breakdown. I am hoping they rectify this and break this up further for all of our sakes.

It Is weird for most of people that had phones that are available in 1 carrier and not others, but trust me everything will be fine, I been on galaxy nexus forums, evo 3d gsm and cdma, etc, and by just having like this you might learn new things and should make development easier and porting, just make sure you clarify what phone are you talking about, remember that XDA is hosting all these forums for it and we're no paying anything too, the more forums you have the more expensive it could be

I have an idea that would help both mods and us xda user when it come to SGs3 forum. General and accesories can be left without carrier specific names. Then sprint, verizon, att&t, and t-mobile can have their own sub-forums with development, Q&A, and themes & apps.
Ex.
[Sprint]Gs3
- Dev
-Q&A
- Themes & Apps
And last the title of the Gs3 forum title should be changed to
"U.S Samsung Galaxy S3 variants ( Sprint, T-mobile, Verizon, & Att&t)
With this two sub forums can be deleted that are present now since they'll be apart of the carrier variant sub forum.

I totally agree. Lumping all the carriers into one forum makes things so crowded that the forums are almost unusable. It's really difficult to get back to a topic that you were browsing unless you actually made a post and can look it up that way. This is all with a limited release, just wait till you can get these in any store!

Yea what do you think of my suggestion Kenny?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
Lots of users didn't like the lumping of the forums; in particular the absolute fact that users will flash the wrong rom on their phones.
We've had users flash i9300 roms and they're not lumped in here. I agree that people should READ, but the reality is that lots do not in their haste and excitement.
I'm all for making things easier on the mods, because I could not imagine having to read EVERY post to make sure things stay on topic and civil. I just think there can be a happy medium between that and what the users would like.

Sgt Slaughter locked my thread

You linked to a thread dedicated to arguing about what constitutes original development.
My thread was a different suggestion and has nothing to do with that argument.
Are we no longer allowed to make suggestions on XDA?

and Locking this one as well...
That thread was not dedicated to arguing. It was dedicated to the overall topic on it. If you want to discuss new ideas for those either bring it up in there, or post in the thread in the "About XDA" section that is on the topic of requests from users to mods/admins...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276306
There is no need for a separate thread in our section on this topic when one already exists on it...
Next time you have a complaint on something, shoot me a PM or one of the other mods at that...even less of a reason to clog up the forum with yet another thread...

What Can We Post

I have had 2 threads closed around me today. I kinda understand the 1st one, but this last one was in the General Forum? Is XDA ran like a Nazi Camp or what? I thank the the mighty Gods for letting me come here, but what the Hell is going on?
My guess is you will be batting a thousand. A perfect 3 for 3.

Ok. I'm game. Please tell me how come. What have I done to deserve it? I've been here since June with no issues till today.
This is not a social media forum. It is a problem/solution/dev forum.
Now, after saying this....there is usually an "off topic" thread in each forum....you might want to try that.

Ok. Thanks. I understand better now.
He's definitely going for the hat trick. I wonder what the record is for getting useless threads closed. . .
Ok OP, Sir let me help you since you asked, Since this is a Development Forum these Sections are for that....Development.
Not for the threads you have been posting...I will ask you to stop this, Thank You.

Insane Deal

Hi. I know this is not related to Note 2 at all but I want to share this insane deal to Note 2 community. I wouldn't be surprised if someone posted this already. Mod - If you think this is against the rules please take care of this thread. Thanks
..and finally
https://www.humblebundle.com/
Yes. This isn't a joke. All this games for almost nothing. To get all of them including BF3 and Sims you need to donate whatever the average is.
Have Fun.
hey there, I'm just a contributor I don't maintain any threads or forums..... if these games are not cracked or illegal I think the forum could benefit probably you just have to post on the apps and game section

Yeah I understand. The only reason I have posted this here is that not all of us including myself read general sections of xda forum.
