How to Unroot Omate TreuSmart? - Ornate TrueSmart

i rooted my Omate using Omate TrueSmart Root + Enhanced Security. How to unroot it? Help very much appreciated.

First and very importantly is what version do you have Dev edition or Standard edition? Second, why do you need to unroot? The reason why I ask this is if you have a Dev edition and you unroot it, it leaves any personal info you put on the TS wide open to malicious hackers and malware. Also, most folks have a misconception regarding root and when you would need to unroot a device.

What is your current firmware? The latest is 20131207.124717 which is what the patch is for.
EDIT
I also know that the 20131207 update has a bug here it says to update even though you are running the update already.

No update with rooted device?
Sorry - do I need to unroot, before obtaining any update?!?

I heard that the Rom's might be updated OTA. If this is the case does that mean that mine will also be automatically updated?? I dont really want to lose root and i have no idea if the new Rom will be able to be rooted!

Not only is your username the same as my last name, but I too am wondering this.
Where are the firmware update settings in Villain 5.2?
If you're on a custom rom, OTA is disabled.

So will all us Custom 2.1 people have to reflash the original RUU before we can get the OTA update?

if you want to unroot your phone forever then do it. you can as well install the 2.1 RUU once it is out. it will happily stay on your hero until the display turns off for the last time...
now you just have to ask yourself why you would want to do such a terrible thing...
Haha, that's true. I plan on waiting until there's a custom 2.1 based on the official one which will allow root access, but I have a friend who will only use official firmwares for some reason.
Maybe I should steal his phone and root it without him knowing!

REQUEST- Xperia Tablet Z firmware for US Wifi Version (16 or 32GB)

Had to flash to the japanese version last week after making a foolish mistake. Japanese version runs fine except the remote control app doesn't have as many options as the US version for some reason. So looking for either the original firmware or maybe even just a copy of the us remote control app to install over possibly. Thanks!
Had to flash to the japanese version ...344... last week after usin SUS for FW-Update to ...370... OTA Update was not working for me. Japanese version runs fine though i like to get back to my origin
Looking for a European / German Firmware ... wether 344 or 370 it doesnt matter.
Thanks!
Same problem here. Had to downgrade for rooting and only available FTF is japanese version. Now OTA updates aren't working.
Thank you!
@johnnobts @Zentori I'm uploading a FTF 10.1.C.0.370 US version. It was a good thing to create a backup before flashing the japanese version lol, since i only find here that version.

appreciate it, but just to be clear there is no root for the .370 us version is there? I may have to stick with the Japanese until there is. any way to extract the us version of the remote app? that's what I really am needing. again, thanks for uploading the us version sir.

Yes, i know that there isn't root for that version, but at least is perfect to have a way to go back to the US version (warranty maybe?) and well, i'm waiting for a root method for this version. I'll try to get the APK for you.

This is a zip containing the APKs related to the remote control. Click here.
And yes, it's good to have more US people here. Let me know if this works for you, so maybe i can flash .344 and get root again.
Well installed the apks and still only gives me limited remote options. Think its the same identical app as the japanes version. Maybe the build prop identifies it as a Japanese regional system and thats why I only pull up Japanese remote codes.... Maybe I can replace the US build prop?
Yes, maybe. So i'll let you here the build.prop for my device and also the FTF file for the US version.

Problems updating stock 4.4.4 to 5.1

Hi there,
sorry for bothering you with my problem but I really cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I am running a pure stock version of 4.4.4 on my international version of the moto E, with no root and no unlocked bootloader. I am willing to update to the latest 5.1 build but whitout unlocking the bootloader and stuff.
From what I understand the first step to do so in the easiest way possible would be to download the first 5.0.2 soak (22.21.32 341MB) update and put it into the main SD card. From then the phone should detect the update from the settings, but mine isn't.
I have already tried sideloading the update by going to the recovery and choosing update from adb. Also I have developer options enabled.
Thanks for your help.

Well, 1st of all let me tell you, that you are completely going the wrong way.... You DO NOT need to flash 5.0.2.... From what I know, factory images of XT1021 for official Android 5.1 lollipop are available...
Check this LINK
There are three versions, choose the appropriate one. Download it, and use mfastboot to flash the latest FW (Don't worry, because these are signed images and will work on devices with locked bootloader)
If u think that these are quite complicated, just hit the play store, make sure that Motorola Update Services app is updated.... and wait for the OTA.
If you are 100% sure that you have not unlocked the bootloader, then pm me, I will give the instructions to flash the fw.
Cheers

The official image is not available for your model at the moment. What u can try is wait for the update to be pushed.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Why didn't att just play nice and update to V3? Instead they update To V4 so I can't flip flop between t-mobile firmware and there's. Does root still work? On the other hand, I can flash Verizon firmware I guess.

I haven't attempted rooting it, and I won't be. There might be a small chance that it may work but I'm not sure.

Well ... if root doesn't work I know what my next firmware will be. (Tmobile)
I can't root, looks like it's back to the drawing board. It figures this happen as soon as I feel it necessary to root my device......
I advise everyone to not take any OTAs after the first August patch so you can still be able to root and flash roms. It isn't a problem for me since I wasn't planning on rooting this phone again anyways..

@raremind couldn't root on BL4. It's unfortunate how we can't root on API2, but if the developers are willing to find out a new way to gain root access on API2, then it wouldn't be the end of the world for anyone who wants the latest OTA but still want root.

G930U firmware was just updated to API3 which has the incremented bootloader, so the individuals who updated to the latest AT&T firmware can use U firmware now. :victory:

Upgrading

Tired of seeing the new update notification. Looking at upgrading my phone. Unfortunately, I don't install ROMs all the time, so I tend to forget the steps / applications needed to upgrade. I'm rooted, and bootloader is unlocked.
Can anyone help?

So there are now two newer versions out there, the latest only has an OTA no kdz, and if you flash it as is you will loose root
I suggest wait until there is a method to keep root and flash the latest, which I'm sure will be soon

L is the latest, if you want to flash j right now feel free
There are two Roms by eliminater74 and one by andy_zahng
For any of these choice you do not need LGup, so long as you are previously rooted
Just flash firmware (part one) via TWRP
Then flash any of those three Roms via TWRP
Reboot,
You will have j rooted
But being i tend to recommend a full wipe i would say wait until the latest L is out in a flashable .zip, should be soon
