[Q] I wiped my phone. Please HELP! - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Hello everyone.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone last week and everything was going pretty good. Well, yesterday I decided to install CM and I accidentally wiped my phone. I'm new to all of this and was reading "don't panic, please read first",but there's too much information and I don't know what I'm doing. So, is there anyway I can get my phone back to stock or should I be looking for a replacement?
Right now the phone will power on to the HTC Quietly Brilliant screen w/ some writing in red below that about developer stuff.... I did get it into the bootloader screen and my phone says:
****tampered****
****unlocked****

RADIO-1.13.11.0830
......
......
......
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
SHOW BARCODE
I also got it to pull up TWRP and that's as far as I went w/ it.
Any help would be appreciated fellows. I'm trying to learn this stuff, so please bear w/ me. I'm a total noob!
Thanks

Hit the link in my sig for fixing a phone after an OS wipe. Should get you up & running again.
Also keep in mind that since you're S-on you will need to flash the ROM kernel separately from the ROM.

Sure. Here are the steps that fixed my issue - courtesy of Chico260.
- Plugged phone into computer...
- On computer click computer to where it brings up your drivers..
- Go into recovery/twrp click on mount..
- Then click on system option, then on the bottom you you'll see mount USB storage...
- Click that then see if your computer pops up your phone storage if it does double click your phone driver leave it open ..
- Download a rom...
- Go back to your phone click unmount..
- Go to twrp home on your phone again click on wipe, advanced wipe..and wipe cache.. Dalvick cache..data.. System ..
- Then go back to where you see install.. Click that.. Then locate mean bean zip swipe to confirm flash..
- After its done reboot ...
(Since your s -on on mean bean it will boot up then say reboot into twrp if it does just flash rom a second time.. You won't have to wipe any thing the second time.. Just go straight to install)
- Locate mean zip swipe to confirm flash ...
- On initial boot it will take some time so let it go.
This is exactly what I did and it fixed my phone.
Now, I'm wondering since I'm running MeanBean, is there another App to use besides SuperSU? I also would like to S-off my phone if anyone would like to help me w/ that.
Thanks again.

Good deal.
As far as S-off goes, you'll need to use the Rumrunner method (check the original development section). There is a Windows-friendly method. You'll need to diasable any antivirus you have on your PC, use a USB 2.0 port, and use a fairly stock ROM. Take a look at the Rumrunner thread for further info.

Do you have a cwm backup to go back to? Or you can try downloading one of the return to stock packages for your phone and flashing that through Odin.

Hi, I have tried to use one of the RUU return to stock packages, if that's what you mean!, but it gets so far and I get an error saying my battery is at -30% and the program will not continue, I have just downloaded "Odin" but it doesn't seem to be compatable..

If you really updated it officially from the PC software "like kies for samsungs" you should try calling the company but dont tell them you rooted it and ask them to repair it or a refund since its their fault they bricked your phone.

You would need to go through a fairly complicated method to do that and it can hard brick your phone, just wait for someone to post a flashable.zip of the update and flash via cwm

How to root 1.53.0007?

hey i've never rooted a phone before and i'm having a hard time finding out how to do this,,
i have the shooter_u, s-on, hboot 1.53.0007, eMMC-boot, RADIO-11.25.3504.06_M.
is there a way to root it, if not when will it be possible and is there anything else i can do with it like flash custom ROM etc? :fingers-crossed:
htcdev
go to htcdev(dot)com/bootloader/ and click on the right "Begin Unlock Bootloader"
u will need to register.. imput some random information all will be ok
and just follow the steps its easy..
I found this in the GSM development stickies:

Now you only unlocked the bootloader, which is not rooting.
OP.
After you did the above, you have to flash a custom recovery and flash superuser 3.x.x for ICS.
Look around, plenty of topics that answer your question.

The only issue with s-on is that the ICS ROMs tend to bootloop for most people. I recommend you get s-off. See the stickies in the Evo3d GSM development thread for more help with that.

Hey, i've got a major problem with the mwakious3Drom® rom, i followed the wrong steps and installed the newest version straight away through recovery, and now when i turn on the evo 3d it stays on the white screen with green letters 'HTC' forever, it never goes off.
i've tried factory reset but it's of no use; also tried restoring it through a nandroid backup i think, through recovery from jus tafter i rooted but it takes long on the 'restoring boot image' part and once that part's done the other things take place except for 'ext-sdcard' or something, ]it still dosen't work and stays on htc logo when turned on.
I thought i may be able to install a different ROM so i downloaded evolver3D2.3, however when conencted through usb cable from evo 3d to the pc, the 'removable disk (j' shows up but when clicked on it replies ' please insert a disk into removable disk(j', it dosen't let me go onto my sdcard so i cant copy the files.
When i go onto fastboot and have the usb connected the 'fastboot usb' does show up on the 3d so there's still hope i can do something from there but i really don't know where to start and i'm afraid if i've bricked it; have i or is it fixable?
Please, please help me, i would be so grateful
edit : btw, i have the anryl kernel 30.09 if this could be helpful.
First dont worry everything is fixable at xda second i will try to help u as much as i can if ur memory card isnt readable anymore , put mwakious 3D rom 11 the base one on another sd card and boot into recovery and do a full wipe and flash it and to flash thr patches make a full boot then reboot to recovery wipe cache and dalvik cache and flash the update i rly dont know what happened to that sd card and if that didnt work search for OTA ics ruu and flash it in bootloader and then s-off that hboot 1.53.007 trust me its easy and its way easier to flash roms and to avoid bootloops
Hit the thanks button if i helped

If you can remove the sd card and plug it in to your computer directly, you can check to make sure it is working properly (and copy the ROM over at the same time). If you can boot into recovery from fastboot, then you can flash the ROM. If not, you'll have to push a new recovery through your computer.

hey guys, i fixed the problem by popping the sdcard in a blackberry and connecting it, afer a while it started to work so i installed the evolver32 rom. anyways it was workng perfectly BUT wifi dosen't work. so i thought wifi may not work only on that rom, however i installed the mwakious3Drom® rom and when i click wifi it says error and theres no wifi connection.. could this be due to me not getting s-off or do they just do that on 1.53.007 ?
I think no wifi is a symptom of a bad kernel flash due to being s-on. So I think being s-off and flashing again might help.

You just gotta find a Rom you wanna flash and adb push it, then go throught the whole wiping process again (to be safe) and flash it.

You don't even need that. Just adb sideload the ROM. I definitely suggest using hasoon2000's AIO for the HTC One. It really helped me when I got into a similar situation.

As long as you can get to the bootloader screen on any of these phones, you're in good shape. It's when you don't where you have problems. The advice in this thread is good.

[Q] HTC One stuck in boot animation

Hi all:
I think I´ve definitely broken my brand new HTC One. The problem is that the phone is stuck in the initial animation (white screen with the HTC One logo. This screen) and I cannot do anything. I tell you the story.
I rooted the phone with this tutorial http://htconeroot.com/htc-one-root/how-to-root-htc-one-windowsmaclinux/
At first, everything seems to go fine, but the SuperUser app started to fail and ask for updates. I installed RomManager and I changed to CWM Recovery instead of the TWRP recovery installed while rooting. I unistalled Super SU and installed the Google Play version and everything was fine again.
Today I tried this mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251788 to remove the 3 dot menu and I flashed the file bkbtnmenu.zip with CWM. I flashed the file, I did a wipe cache and a wipe dalvik and when I tried to reboot, the HTC got stuck in the animation screen.
I cannot switch it off, neither entering in recovery or anything else. When I try to restart or enter in recovery it simply restarts to the same screen and cannot do anything but waiting for the device to empty the battery.
I´ve made something terribly wrong. Hope some of you guys can help me. Every little help will be appreciated. Absolutely desperated
For future reference I'd say not to use anything from zedomax because someone always has issues with his tutorials. Anyway, you said you're not able to boot into hboot?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Some progress
First of all, thanks for the advice.
After reading your reply I´ve tried again and now I´m able to start the phone in recovery mode. Sorry but cannot post images. I already can go into the HBoot screen.
But don´t know how to continue.
If you're able to boot into recovery try to factory reset, you'll lose all your apps and settings but that should work

I´ve done the factory reset, but after rebooting I´m still stuck in the boot animation screen.

I´m a bit newbie in this kind of things. Before the crash, I had Android 4.2.2 and even though I´m Spanish, I live in Singapore and I´ve bought my HTC here.
I´ve noticed that there are a lot of RUU and no idea of which to choose. I don´t have any problem in pushing a new rom, but how can I push it to the SD card? Please can you send me a link or two? I´ve found a lot of info in the forum but I´m a bit overwhelmed because most of the posts are for people with more experience than me and don´t know which one I have to choose.

Sorry for bothering you again but it doesn´t work.
I followed the steps of the video. My HBoot screen now shows that it´s RELOCKED instead of UNLOCKED
I started the RUU file and it showed me that currently I have a 2.x.x.x. ROM and I´ll change to a 1.x.x.x. ROM. I clicked next and the software got stuck sending. After a few minutes, I received this message
ERROR[130]: MODEL ID ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone.
Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.
Maybe It´s something related to the drivers?

Please help 5 day old 4g lte evo

Ok lets see. Last night I spent a few hours and got my evo 4g lte to load (twrp) so not only do I have bootloader(fastboot) I have twrp... I try to post the specs that I do know...{s-on, hboot- 2.09.0000, radio- 1.12.11.1210, and twrp 2.5.0.0..... But I have nothing on my internal sd at all so there was nothing to flash or revert to... When I booted into twrp and mounted to my computer internal was empy so I tried to put a ruu zip file there unmounted and tried to flash it in twrp...Nothing happened... So after hours of looking for what to do the only thin I see is to go S-OFF with PANDA? Im hopeing you guys can tell me if that's the right thing to do or should I try to get some type of rom or stockrom on the phone first? Also what is UBUNTU and do I need to use it...THANKS GUYS ALOT,ROB
Download meanBean and move it to your phone
In twrp select mount/mount usb storage copy the rom to your phone
Unmount
Choose Advanced wipe and choose cache/dalvik cache/system/data
Go back to twrp home page and choose install/find the rom and flash
It will have to be flashed twice
Follow the directions posted above. As far as gaining S-off, you can use Dirty Racun or Moonshine. Moonshine is Windows friendly if you're not into Linux & Ubuntu
Will Do
Thanks a lot guys... I will try The meanbean way first and if that don't work can I go right to gaining s-off even tho my phone has no operating system(internal is blank)??? Thanks again in advance bigdaddy619 and finZ28

You have to be able to boot into the OS in order to use Moonshine. Having said that, you shouldn't have any problems if you follow Bigdaddy's instructions.

Ok..I will post 2nite when I get out of work and go to work on phone...Thanks again, Rob :good:
Thanks soo much!!!!!!!
So I went home and mounted via twrp and put meanbean on, then unmounted and flashed meanbean and "WAMMO" I'm back up n running... Thank you soo much for responding... It may seem simple but I was soo lost when I erased my o.s. I almost tried to return it... I'm kinda worried about doing s-off after not having a phone for 2 days but if it will make flashing stuff easier and less problems I just might take the plunge.... I got another ? For ya guys... I have WiFi teather that comes with meanbean and got it working but the dl speed is bearly working...its like 90kb when on my old EVO 4g I got 700kb or more depending on connection... Do you genius people have a fix for this? Thanks again and again...
