What is the best 3D launcher for the large screen 10.1 and 12.2 Note? - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Themes and Apps

Any suggestion? Anybody used the TSF Shell 3D on the 10.1" Note?

Next launcher 3D looks and works great on my Nexus 7!

This seems to be nice for large screen tablets such as the 10.1 and 12.2.

Been running it for the past month or so, & really loving it.

I haven't tried tsf shell. I am one of the poor suckers that paid$15 for SPB Shell 3D when it came out. It has a tablet mode that uses an 8x6 grid. If you own it, it looks good on this tablet. If you don't own it then go with next 3d or tsf as development for the SPB Shell seems to have stopped.

thats because SPB was bought by Yandex, who turned it into yandex shell

Speaking as a fellow sucker (I mean customer) of SPB, I wasnt all that thrilled by that either.

So, SPB has became Yandex Shell and it is free? I bought SPB a year ago. It was cool at the beginning but after a short while, I felt bored. Moreover, I felt dizzy spinning contents.

Has anybody tried the new update with their 3vo? How is the update so far?

Yes and it sucks. There are 3 different ways to view it in 3d and they all suck. Maybe once its no longer experimental and they put more work into it , then it will be sick. And the 3 ways are red scale, cyan scale, and grey scale, and the only way you can tell any difference is in carousel mode.
Sent from 3days in the future and still no dang S-off !!! WTF
I don't know what the update does, but the launcher has a clean nice look, and I normally switch between the stock and spb.
It's a very nice launcher, as long as you don't use live wallpapers.
I bought it. I like it "okay" but I don't like the scrolling. For example, when you go to all apps and you scroll the list and then tap to stop the scrolling, the scrolling "crawls" slowly forward or back for about a second so that the icons align with a particular row. During that time (while it is scrolling slowly), it is unresponsive. If you tap an icon, it is ignored. You end up having to wait at least a full second after stopping a scroll to be able to start an app. For that reason alone, I uninstalled it and went back to Sense.
Mike
Hey Mike I haven't had that issue at all. And I bought the shell when it was released for android. And they now have a setting for the use of live wallpapers.

Man $14 for an app... They've gotta be smoking, no way.
To think I bought it for $30 back in my Windows Mobile days... Desparate times those were.
If it were a more reasonable price I would buy it. I tried it on my Samsung Epic and it ran smooth as butter, so I think it would look even better on my 3vo 3d (blah hah). I"m not paying $14 for that thing.. I just used the beta for a while when it had that thing going on to trick it.

Looking for a good drawing app

Hi all, I bought a Nexus 10 for my daughter for Christmas and she loves to draw. Can anyone recommend a good drawing app?
Also, is there any special kind of stylus that I need to buy for it to work on the Nexus 10?
Thanks in advance :good:
It's not free, but SketchBook Pro for Tablets is quite good.

I think I got that app for $0.25 during that Play Store event a few months back; but in any case, it is a real nice app Zooming does seem terribly laggy though at times (talking like 1-3 second delay), but someone quoted a message from Autodesk saying they were aware of the issue, and that N10 optimizations were coming.

I just got a Note 2 (from iPhone 5)

I was sick and tired of waiting for a possible jailbreak for the iPhone. I decided that I would pay for the Note 2 full price and decide if it was for me (14 days to return it to Verizon for a $35 restocking fee). I just got this bad boy last night, rooted, unlocked it, flashed it to beans, configured STsettings and this phone is blazing fast. I felt that Chrome was a bit laggy (performance wasn't as smooth as Safari was on my iPhone l) so I picked up Dolphin and it's as smooth as butter.
This isn't the first Android phone that I used. I had the OG Droid, Galaxy Nexus, and the HTC Rezoound. This is by far the best phone that I have used.

Welcome back to the good side (android ). I was going to suggest dolphin but I see you found it. Thats the only browser I've been using since I got an android phone. I love the swipe on the left side of the screen for your bookmarks. I too am running beans and actually like touchwiz on this phone because the spen makes it totally worth it. If your looking for another good app to use with your spen check out gmd spen control. Its great you can literally use the spen for everything then. But good luck with the phone glad you like it and can share in this forum.

Thanks techgov.
The reason why I prefer Dolphin is because its tap to zoom feature is right on the spot. I'm an Avid iOS user (still have my iPad on iOS 5.1.1 so Safari has spoiled me.
A negative thing that I have noticed thus far is that the touch sensitivity is not as accurate as my iPhone 5. But I can't blame Samsung since this screen is so huge. I also need to install Swift key. This AOSP keyboard isn't doing me justice.

Excellent choice for dumping the iPhone 5... You will not regret it. This phone is the best thing out!
Today I had to check some stuff on my iPhone 5 (it's not activated), and boy did I feel like I was using a child's toy. The thing felt so small and tiny. Honestly the note 2 feels just right. I'll be keeping my iPad 3 but there's no way that I can go back to the iPhone after getting spoiled by the Note 2.

Normally I am a big fan of AOSP but since the Note 2 has some special functionality, I am using as-close-to-stock as possible. And CleanRom is ideal.

Pretty much any time I use it. Unlocking it, opening any app, trying to toggle wifi. It will sometimes freeze for seconds at a time, and the app will usually FC. It's been super frustrating because I don't have any of those issues on the same nightly for my S4.

Probably i know what ur Problem is. Look up the new trim function of android 4.3. That will probably tackle ur Problem. Basically its sort of fragmentation of the memory. You may factory reset if the problem persists because toggling wifi is such a simple task it should never lag. Cm has no stable 4.3 Version yet. I recommend flaming monkey rom, its lean light and fast (basic aosp with some tweaks). You see the N10 still has the bleeding edge architecture with the A15. There are faster devices but only 2 others or so with that modern architecture

When it comes to design, the N10 really received great remarks from the November 2012 reviewers.
The soft/grippy feeling plastic actually handles great and looks good. The subtly rounded corners and edges has a great feel, no sharp edges that bite into the hands after prolonged handling.
Gave my N7 to my spouse and use the N10 as my daily tab. Been using a friends Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition and it's real nice, but I still like the feel of the N10. Enough that I'm not rushing out to buy the 10.1 2014 edition at this time.
