Tons of threads about screen protectors.
Check those out.
i always go with a clear protect from ebay. I end up getting 6 for like $5 and i change them out if they get scathed or starts to not look clear.
Normally i can go about 6months without a problem. Other times its been a yr.
The never used a glass protector before but i have heard that some of them are very hard to get off and then its still glass so it can scratch. While others will loose there glue and come off.

Illome flex. No problems with the glue though I haven't needed to take it off. Yeah it can scratch but it's much harder to scratch than a plastic protector. You can't even begin to compare to clarity and feel of a plastic protector to glass either.

I like the Verizon TPU Holster/Case, and so wanted as thin a protector as possible. It's a little on the pricey side, but I went with the 'Just Like Glass Nano' and am extremely pleased with it. Just as thin as a plastic screen protector, but with the clarity and smooth surface texture of glass. Gives me the best of both worlds.

I havnt had a chance to apply my SGP crystal clear one yet, but that has a slight curve, not the edges, but I think they should all be OK, they sorta clinge to the screen, so it should stay.

Because of the curved glass all dry application protectors will not fully cover the full phone. The wet ones will fix this. Just trying to find a wet one that looks as good as a dry protector is hard.

I'm using the Steinheil Flex HD which is a wet application. I prefer the dry ones but none is available. Not 24 hours yet so some spots tend to have rainbow coloring. I hope it clears up when its completely dry. Fit is perfect though.

Is that cut smaller than the screen? Are the edges staying firmly?
Put on the full body protector kit from xtremeguard and had no problem due to it being a wet install. The cut is very good on it and there is not a lot of gap on the sides at all, no weird marbling or issues with it being too sticky, I'll update you after a couple of days of it setting in properly.
Installed a Steinheil Ultra Crystal on my wife's phone Friday night. The edges to do completely go down. Kinda irritating...
It doesn't look like Zagg is making an HD version either. A wet application seems to be the only way to get the screen protector to fit properly.
Zagg screen protector is great fit the screen perfect with wet application.
I HIGHLY recommend getting a Zagg HD. Literally looks like nothing is on my screen. The wet application forms and fits to the screen.

I don't think there are any at all for our phone. Spigen doesn't have any plans to make one either.
This is just one helluva coincidence; I was looking for this yesterday! I was put off by a scathing review of Zagg's HD protector that stated it scratched easily, which somehow made me aware of Spigen's glass iPhone 5 protector and their lack of one for the ELTE.

Why would you want a glass protector to protect glass? Wouldn't that be like having a vest made out of another persons skin and using it like a bullet proof vest?

Haha… funny point, but if I wanted to have the look and feel of a human with the ability to replace damaged skin, this would be the way to go (even if it basically turns me into Buffalo Bill). As for the “bullet proof vest” part, I don’t think that the Zagg shield would be any better than a glass sheet at protecting the screen itself against a direct impact; their main purpose is for scratch protection.

A screen protector isn't meant to prevent breakage. It's merely there to protect the screen from scratches and gouges from every day use. Really, even a crappy screen protector would still come between the elements and the screen itself, so it would serve this purpose plenty well.
If there was an unbreakable screen protector with impeccable light transmittance then I'd wonder why our screens aren't made out of that instead.
Not a solution to your glass screen protector, but just so you know that at least a few of the regular style aren't bad at all!!
I can personally attest for the Zagg HD and the Otterbox screen protectors. My parents and I have all had the Zagg HD screen protector on our Evo LTEs since launch day, and none of them have a single mark on them! I have since purchased a white Evo LTE (since they weren't an option during pre-orders) and have the Otterbox installed on it. I like the way it looks and feels MUCH better than the Zagg HD!!! I would actually replace the Zagg HD with an Otterbox on my black Evo LTE if I wasn't planning to sell it. The Otterbox isn't even visible unless you are really looking for a screen protector! It feels just like the bare screen, better than any screen protector I've ever used in the past(which is quite a lot as I've been using touch screen smartphones for almost 6 years now and update phones at least once a year). Either choice is pretty scratch resistant! I assume the Otterbox would be the easier of the two to scratch, as you'd have to be trying really hard to leave a permanent scratch on the Zagg as it "heals" itself from any marks within a couple days. That said, I still think the Otterbox is a better choice as I baby my devices anyway, and the looks/feels outweigh the scratch resistance of the Zagg. Just throwing in my 2 cents...

I've been using the Zagg HD since it came out and I love it. Yes when the screen is off and I hold it at certain angles I can see minute scratches but I can't feel them or see them when the screen is on. The other thing I like about it is it does feel really close to what the screen actually feels like. The normal Zagg does not.

Best Anti-Fingerprint screen protector?

Do you guys have any suggestions on which screen protector does the best of keeping the screen clear of fingerprints? I feel like I'm constantly wiping my screen protector off. I am using the screen protectors from vzw.

Same here, except before I put it in my pocket
Day Deal has a screen protector for the DNA, described as Anti Glare, which is great at minimizing finger prints and smudges.
It hides most fingerprints, but if you do get any fingerprints or smudges, a quick wipe on your pants or tee-shirt cleans it right up.
Also, the screen looks very good when the device is turned on.
On the negative side, it IS noticable on your screen, when the screen is turned off.
Also, it doesn't go right up to the edges, but it does cover the touch buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Works well with most covers.
Well, Amazon is fast that's for sure. Ordered the screen protector yesterday with free 2-day and it showed up today. It isn't edge-to-edge, which is a bit disappointing as you have to be extremely precise in aligning it with the screen itself. At least it covers the buttons. A plus about not being edge-to-edge is that there's no interference with my case, so I won't have to worry about bubbling up. Guess this will do until I find a better matte set...

Gosh that was quick! It sounds like it is exactly the same dimensions as the stock ones from vzw. On the sides it just barely covers the screen. But what do you think about it so far? Keeping the fingerprints off good?
Yep, sounds right, this one barely covers the edges of the screen.
I think it's much better than the Zagg I was using in terms of functionality. Keeps fingerprints off relatively well, still get some smears but they come off so much easier than with the Zagg. Plus it feels so much cleaner when swiping...what I was using before made my thumbs feel like they were glued to the screen when I swiped. The only thing I wished is that it was edge-to-edge, but then again, that would probably cause issues with a case.

I know that some people swear by screen protectors but since the invent of gorilla glass 1 there has been no need for it. I don't have any problems with just not using any screen protector at all on this or my last phone that I had for over 2 years and had gorilla glass. I barely have any finger prints ever, just the act of putting it in and out of my pocket cleans it off. Plus I love how smooth the glass is compared to how sticky those protectors feel.

I don't personally care for the matte finish kind of protectors and the screen is anti-glare enough on its own. I got the ones from photodon. MXA with oleophobic option. Crystal clear and once it is lightly washed feels just the the screen without one. Also does not go to the edge so no worry about cases. Btw I got the minisuit flex case on amazon for around $5 and it fits so snuggly I can barely tell it's there.

Love the feel of the note 3 but think I should protect it

Got my note 3 a few days ago and I'm loving it. I love the feel, the leather back, the slimness. It's great. But I feel I should be protecting it somehow.
I went for an official S View case but it turns out it's not official and i'm not sure I want to spend £50 on a case that doesn't offer full protection.
I've had a browse but can't seem to find one that would not effect the profile of the phone. Does anyone have any suggestions
Thanks.

Dunno about slim cases (I have a UAG), but I'd definitely recommend a tempered glass screen protector. Especially if you were interested in getting the authentic S-view case.
I bought an $8 eBay protector recommended in the tempered glass screen protector thread and have been very happy with it. Cheap way to keep your screen scratch free.
The problem I've found with screen protectors is that I can't apply them for them life of me. They always bubble or get fluff stuck under them.

Try the tempered glass protectors. I used the MIME Ghost Glass for my S4 and i just got one for my Note 3. It just got here like 30 min ago. IF you get one, you don't have to worry about bubbles, they come out on their own in like an hour or 2. Just apply it in a bathroom after running the shower with hot water to get a touch (NOT a lot) of steam in the air. That pulls all the dust particles out of the air as you apply it.
As for the cases, I agree. I like the feel of the Note 3 naked. I also got a case that makes it actually feel more slippery. I love the case as i had the same for my S4 but it is more slippery. I picked up the Spigen Slim Armor case in the metal color.
I have a bumper case, just the frame around the phone. My phone already fell out from the pocket of my pants, when I was changing (frankly I thought I had the phone in my jacket, otherwise would be more careful) onto the wooden floor from about 4 feet and I think I would have already some type of damage, if it wasn't for the bumper case. I like my phone very much, therefore having it in pristine condition is more important than anything else.
Something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Borderline-Samsung-Manufacturer-Warranty/dp/B00FHG8ALS
Caseology, Spigen, and UAG are the only way to go for cases.

This is going to sound odd, but in order to get a flawless application of your screen protector . . . do it in the bathroom. I always run the shower as hot as it gets for a few minutes prior to trying to apply the screen protector to let the steam pull most of the dust particles out of the air. I also line up the screen protector prior to removing the backing and tape one side so that it functions like a hinge. This way once the backing is removed you do not have to worry about lining up the protector and it basically applies itself from the taped side.

Question might be lame but just to make sure - Can tempered glass be removed if needed or once is applied/glued thats it ?
It will just lift up. No residue left really. Think of it as more sticky and does not bond like a glue. Until you crank one and have to remove it... It's kinda hard to describe. But it comes up as easy as it is to put down
Ordered it. Should be here soon. Do I still need a screen protector with it do you think?

just want to ask something about tempered screen protector. i just bought the spigen glass tr screen protector and had applied it successfully on my note 3 just having one little lint underneath but i dont care too much about it as it cant be seen when the screen is on. but i want to ask is tempered glass has any side effect to my screen ? such as reduce the screen sensitivity as i heard from someone that using tempered glass has negative effect. is it true ?
I haven't noticed any sensitivity issues. To be fair, I put the protector on only a few days after I purchased the phone, but I honestly never noticed any ill effects after installation.
On my S4 or this phone I've never had sensitivity issue with either phone. The Spen works flawlessly with THE MIME Ghost Glass (is only 32mm thick as to Spigens tr glass which is .40mm thick)
Well my case turned up and I love it. Such a well made product.

Who needs a screen protector? Make stock glass oleophobic

I took off my stock screen protector a while ago and installed a tempered glass screen protector since the stock glass has no oleophobic coating and feels a little sticky. Well my screen protector chipped so I removed it and applied a coat of rain x. It feels great! Still slightly more sticky than gorilla glass but much better than the stock glass. I applied some to the back glass too just for protection under my case. The glass is more shiny and attracts fingerprints less. Any fingerprints are wiped off easier. I highly recommend using rain x instead of a screen protector after removing the stock layer. Now I'm pissed that I spent so much on those stupid screen protectors that are hard to apply perfectly and chip/crack after a few months.
..exactly what tempered screen protector did you buy? You have a link?

I started with the one everyone on here recommends, m-glass. I got some crap under the front glass so I ordered the explosion proof front protector off amazon. The front protector chipped near the microphone after a few months and when I removed my case I noticed the m-glass back had cracked. The glass protectors feel nice but are too expensive and not durable imo.

Not sure if you want to be in regular contact with those chemicals: http://goo.gl/yLmN1d
Known eye irritant.
May want to consider something less toxic like http://goo.gl/le5xtW if you want to go down this road.
So, I did this. Looks like a lot of forums have threads about Rain-X yielding positive results.
I also found this post and followed one of the comments.
Not sure if its available everywhere, but for glass coating I use Gtechniq G5. It lasts way longer than Rain X.
Applying is the same for both, tho.. The trick is to clean the screen as good as possible, and use something alcohol-based to make the surface free of residue from the cleaners. Put some G5/Rain X on a cotton patch and apply it in a THIN layer on the glass in "up and down" movements (not circular). Let it sit for a while (2-5min), then apply a new layer the same way on top of the previous layer and let that sit for a while again. Use a clean hot water-moist microfiber cloth to buff it off, and a dry one after.
Let the glass cure for a couple of hours (NO TOUCHING), and your good to go. The G5 coating should last for at least 6 month, and your glass screen should be resistant to dust and fluids. MUCH easier to clean too!
