I would assume (and this may be themers problem too) that it is related to a complaint by Apple regarding the use of their copyrighted material,or maybe I am wrong.But this doesn't just affect themer users but users of other launchers too.
My guess is that is what got them pulled from Google Play.

there is a post about the complaint apple made on espier.org that mentions the copyright infringement.An official comment would have been nice from the themer guys,I have spoken to a few people who are reluctant to install it because of the pull.

They might not be able to say anything. Copyright laws are pretty tough and when you get lawyers involved it gets nasty. The Jack Daniels and NFL themes are gone too.

yeah good point,so we would have to speculate that this is the reason,and as you say more are being removed
I initially suspected that Apple was involved in the removal of these themes. Sucks, but what I feared was realized. Such a lame move on a part of these large corporations going after a small but enthusiastic minority of app users.

Hi, any brand name themes have now been removed to protect Themer from getting pulled again from the Play Store due to copyright violations. We apologize for the inconvenience
may be diligent to mention this over at mycolorscreen to any theme creators,or next thing you know apple will complain that you are creating a program that allows users to incorporate their design ?
What bugs me is that they should be flattered that us "android" users want their design on our superior devices,or is it more like jealousy that the designer did a better job than they did :laugh:
I used to love the jack daniel's theme, is there ANY way to get it back... i had it set for a few days but then wanted to try out something new, n now its gone :crying:

if i redesign all the icons LIKE apples themes they cant do nothing.
so guys expect a theme like iOS soon i wont include a wallpaper with it but i will design icons close to apples, i hate them so much, im not doing it for the theme, im simply doing this to show them they dont have as much power as they think

True. I did a temp job for a copyright lawyer years ago and they can be very picky. Especially like Apple, who has money to spend on useless lawsuits.

your correct but like i said going over copyright laws/violations if no original resources are used then legally noones can do nothing, the icons wont be the exact shape as apples but very alike!

I am sure they can twist the Legalese to say that you own the device, but Apple merely let's you lease software at no cost to you. This means that they still own the software, and if you modify it, it's illegal.
Gotta love EULA's. Check out iTunes one, it actually says that you cannot use iTunes to develop nuclear weapons... I am sure they could easily hide the "We own the software, so you cannot jailbreak it" somewhere.
Should not apply to Android, since it is open. Google could possibly pull a very **** move, and say if you root it, you lose the license to use gapps and market, but that is highly unlikely.
Android is and always will be open source. As long as android is Linux based rooting and modding android will always be legal.

This, all of this. I don't care what they do for Apple's ****ty software and operating system, but Android is open source and is licensed under ASL2.0. You can read about it all here: http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
ASL2.0 is basically granting permission to do anything with it so long as the license is distributed with it, and that you indicate what exactly you've changed in each file you've changed.

I AGREE!! the way I see it once I give them money for the device I can do what ever I want to it because it is no longer their property, it's mine!

So in a world where companies and lay people alike are completely brainwashed into thinking iOS is the most amazing thing since sliced bread and NEVER has problems like crashing apps or any other problem for that matter, you don't consider this relevant?

Thats soooo olddd omg. There is an app called carrier iq to tell if u if you have it. Most of providers have removed and almost every single custom rom has it removed. Dude this article is form december 2011.
That's old news. Like, really old. Look at the date on the article. Verizon doesn't use CIQ on any of it's devices. It may use something else, but so far we don't know of anything, so any claims otherwise are just FUD.

OK I know this is one of the most common request on nearly every device. I didn't understand it in the past because sense sucked. But they really made a difference with sense 5. It's one of my favorite android UI's. In the past people would just say its not worth porting or others would troll and say buy an HTC device. Well this isn't an iPhone. I'm not stuck with what I have. I own an android device and this is xda were developers make our dreams come true
Could someone tell me if anyone is working on a port for that ui or the launcher or keyboard or blinkfeed. If not, then could someone pass this on to a talented developer for consideration.

Yes but in the past people just had no interest for porting because sense sucked and was difficult to port. The difficult part is the same I'm sure but sense 5 is actually nice if you've used it.

The quality of sense between the versions when requested is debatable but irrelevant.
I will assume that you are a minority in wishing sense were available as I believe the majority wishes 4.4 were available.
If I understand correctly it would need to be reverse engineered as a majority of this is propietatry information which HTC doesn't share...

Hi. I dont post much and am new to the G2 on sprint. While I do agree there is a fat chance that sense will get ported I will say my gf has the htc one and the only part of that phone I truly wish could be ported to the G2 is the remote control app. It really is that damn good. Now if someone could make that happen Im sure there would be alot of buyers. Id be one.

See I'm the opposite. Before sense 5 I would try really hard to avoid htc devices till I found out about being able to root and change it. Everything about it was terrible. Extremely slow and disgusting looking. I love sense 5 because its way more professional looking. Unlike ios7, Samsung devices, and now with lg. All the other UIs are so cartoony and seems designed with children and mothers in mind..

Like stated above, this has been done on a lot of Samsung devices and I've seen it floating around others also. I know its difficult so what about just the launcher? I can pull the keyboard and easily get it working but I know with the launcher it will take a little more tweaking. I've seen the launcher for previous sense versions ported to a lot of devices but has to be heavily tweaked to get to work. But its always done by someone.

Well its been nearly a year...
I still have my old Note Edge so I was looking around the themes and apps thread for it and I just came across this link for the new (at least I'm assuming it's still new) Google Duo video calling app, so I figured I'd try it out on the v20 and it works like a charm so I figured I'd share the link here too (if you try it out just make sure to thank the original OP [emoji106]). Unless it's just me but I never heard of it until I came across this link anyway, and I was honestly surprised because it actually works way better than I was expecting it to. My girlfriend has an iPhone (god bless her stupid little heart lol) and this app basically lets you "FaceTime" between Android and iPhone, she was able to download Duo from her app store and so far the quality on every call has been near perfect. Anyway just thought I'd share it in case anyone else is like me and could use it but never heard of it before.
