Try going into recovery and formatting data? Can you get into recovery? If not flash stock with Odin and try again

At least if I can go back to stock ROM which is 4.1.2 at least Please help

Thanks allot for your respond. No I am not able to go into the recovery unfortunately. only can go into download mood

What do you want help with? Flashing with Odin? First go to Sammobile.com and get 4.1.2 firmware from there. I'll give you a link for flashing with Odin if you can't find a good one.

This link is for the S3 but flashing with Odin is the same as with the s2. I link you to this as its a good guide but do remember that's it's for the S3 so don't be silly and flash i9300 firmware on you're i9100. Hope you understand if not tell me and i'll delete the link. Read it and understand what you need to do before you flash with Odin.
Reading is easy, fixing is not. :screwy:

I meant my phone is unlocked but on sammobile.com I found this
GT-I9100 United Kingdom (Vodafone) 2014 January 4.1.2 I9100XWMS2 I9100VODLSF kies
at the end was Kies icon

Pick a carrier free one.

But i can't see the option of choosing carrier

X.......e.......u

If you're planning on rooting and installing a custom ROM again you may as well just go with the Vodaphone one then go from there. I do have a copy of the unbranded one (can't remember where from) so it is out there if you really need it, only downloaded it last week.
I rooted using Philz kernel, if you search XDA for that you will find the info on how to do it and it seemed the easiest way to go...

Don't use Kies, use Odin, it's far less temperamental. Just download th XWKE2 firmware from samfirmware.com and flash in the PDA section of Odin

Wow, that's a hell of a long time, leave it to download overnight? Mine took a while but only because it's a big file and it certainly didn't take a day! I'm sorry I don't know anywhere else to get stock firmware from apart from Samfirmware.com and the god awful Kies...
Its not posted on here by any chance using a different upload service .

I have installed an unsecure kernel in my galaxy s2 (GT I9100G) but since I cannot find the original stock kernel, I wanted to roll back to the stock android version that came with s2 and thus wanted to know how could I re-install the firmware from KIES.
Thanks

You need to reflash stock using ODIN before you can use kies, as Kies doesn't recognise custom kernels.

Will reflashing bring back the stock kernel and make the phone unrooted in short make it the way Samsung sold it to me?
Also, I am using Galaxy S2 I9100G build number GINGERBREAD.XWKJ2 and for it only 1 unsecured kernel was available at this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327509
I rooted my phone without any problem but since there's no way to get back the stock kernel, I am afraid that if need be, how am I gonna claim warranty for my device.

Yes aslong as you flash the firmware that came with it t will be like as samsung sold it. Have a look at intratech's thread he may just have the kernel if you still have the original firmware on it already.

Yes, I do have the original firmware on it. Didn't have enough guts to play with custom ROM :/
I did check intratech's thread and found stock kernel for XWKJ2 but the thread titles says "Official i9100 Firmwares" whereas my phone shows i9100G. I guess this won't work.
And, when flashing to original firmware, will the kernel's be replaced to the original one's as well?
Thanks for suck quick replies Am just a n00b diving into Android
You can extract the original kernel yourself if you want it http://www.hotfile.com/dl/136857418/c144909/I9100GXWKJ2_I9100GODDKJ2_INU.zip.html

Downloaded it. Now what do I do? Flash s2 with this, backup using titanium, root device and then use the stock to get rid of yellow triangle? Am I missing anything?
Thanks for your help
BTW, is there a way to get the latest available firmware in my country/region via KIES so that I can be 100% sure of being in right place
i cant post the link right now but you can google
"How to goback/use Kies update after using ODIN,Rooting or Custom Firmware : Video Guide"
and go the the dialandroid website they have a way to make it like original again

[Q] Baseband unknown

Hi yall...
Im sitting here with a good mates i9100... He has flashed it, and now it does not have any signal...
IMEI is just blank, and I think this is because of the baseband radio mismatch as it is showing baseband unknown...
I have tried:
Flashing I9100XXKG2
And in odin I have ticked:
Re-partition
Auto reboot
F. Reset Time
Phone Bootloader Update... (This should update the bootloader, shouldent it??)
Any great ideas??

From what i have seen for flashing through ODIN, they always mention that re-partition should not be checked. Dont' know why but i guess probably that may have messed up something on the phone. Please google to find out what re-partition does.

Do you have backuped your /EFS folder or not?
We recived it in this condetion... It was already f***** when we started playing arround with it
well considering my un-flashed (freshly unboxed untouched after 2 day usage) S2 managed to lose its IMEI all by itself (showing exactly what you're being shown now), this is entirely a Samsung fault.
I gave it at a local service center and it took them a few days to repair it. They said they had to replace the motherboard and re-flash it (the original mobo wasnt taking flashes apparently).
Dont know if this helps ya.
First off: Stay faaar away from the "Repartition" tickbox.
Sounds like the EFS partition is messed up, without a (working) backup of it, there isn't much that can be done, I think.
Try flashing one of the _user_low stock ROMs (without repartition!) those contain pretty much every part that can/should be flashed.
Maybe this helps.
If not, send it in for repair.
Could you please give me a link to such a ROM ?

No, SuperOneClick doesn't work on a stock ROM, that's right.
Download Chainfire's CF-Root kernel for XXKG2 and flash it too.
You'll have insta-root right after flashing CF-Root

Is there any mirror link of this firmware (http://www.multiupload.com/G1GBNSDYJA)

Should I try a ROM that require re-partition? Maybe it works???

My tab wont unroot?

Hey guys.
im currently about to sell my gtab, and im trying to get it bk to stock unrooted.
now, i tried to install the latest UK firmware, which is: P7510XXKL2 and i downloaded it through sammobile and flashed through odin, but every time i tried to flash it through odin i got bootloop.
So in the end i downloaded :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412601 and flashed that. But now i want to unroot it... is that possible, if so, what should i do?
thanks

oh, that is no biggey. once you are done flashing, get into recovery mode and do a factory data reset. that should fix the issues. how ever, make sure that you have got a SUCCESSFUL flash with odin and no corrupted files. if that is the case, do a fresh download from samfirmware.
You have to first repartition your Tab besides flashing the stock Rom....

remove the batt from ur phone wait for 5~10 minutes then replace the batt and switch ON ur phone and see it will do the trick some times
From recovery do data cache wipe.
Or
From recovery if cwm, format data system cache, dalvik and flash stock ROM using Odin.
You can download stock Indian ROM if that what you want.
Just remove the Sim and micro sdcard, before flashing ROM. I found it has issues with ics and csc if I don't on i9100

Thanks mate you saved my day ''Samsung service center sucks here in India'' didn't want go there.....Downloaded firmware from Samfire and then flashed through oden and here I am back to what I had on my phone....could you also advise good ROMS for I9100G and Thanks a ton once again
No probs. Glad you got it sorted
As I don't have an I9100G, I don't know. Questions around "What's the best or a good rom for I9100<whatever>" tend to be frowned upon on here, so I'll leave that up to other people.
Generally it's best to try some roms out for yourself & see what works best for you, but make doubly sure any rom you do try is for the I9100G as you risk bricking your phone if you flash a rom for the I9100 or any other variant on your phone.

As per ten thousand posts OTA may fail on rooted phones .
Choice remove root and update .
Flash stock rom via Odin and reroot .
Flash stock rom from CWM stock roms post should not need reroot .

Returning back to stock kernel first is not always needed. With the previous update, i installed the update through Kies on my rooted S3 and just re-rooted afterwards. No reinstall was needed and all apps and settings were untouched. Try updating via Kies.
