[Q] Newbie Question

Hi there,
I have recently purchased a SGA and am a keen techno geek so have been messing around and have installed the end ROM and CWM 5 + a few scripts and the phone seems to be working ok, battery drains in a few hours and the system seems a bit slow in general.
However I have been reading on here about formating the SD card and partitioning it etc so I was wondering if someone could give me a quick guide through on how to whipe the SD card format it corectly etc so that I know I have it all up and running corectly. I would greatly appreciate it! I have a 16GB SD card.
Kindest Regards
That's a lot of work you've done for recent purchaser of SGA..
Anyway, motive of partitioning SDCard is to use some of SDCard's memory as a Internal. So that you don't reach at the low internal memory problem.
Since you're using CyanogenMod based ROM, I would recommend THIS guide.
Its pretty simple.
Thank you!!!!!

[Q] [ROM][10th Nov] - UltimaROM v5.0.2 - Question regarding ExtSdCard

Hello,
I am very to flashing of ROM's on my Galaxy S3 so im still learning about things (so pretty much im a rookie)
As in the subject line, i have the latest UltimaROM v5.0.2 installed on S3 and its working perfectly and its rock stable. Really happy with it.
However I do have a quick question regarding extSDcard.
The phone somehow reads my extSDcard as an internalSD card and vice versa for the internalSD card.
In the camera when i have extSDcard (which is internal SD card) chose as the storage, the camera app FC.
While installing the ROM i did select the HyperMOD for the camera and i didn't select the option of Internal2External SD Script option.
Can anyone explain why this is happening and also how maybe i can i have the storage the normal way perhaps?
Thanks guys.

I don't know what this rom is based on but if it's Samsung based you can try to take the vold.conf and vold.fstab file from a stock rom and put it with root explorer in folder etc.
Throwing out of the window from my flying Ferrari killer S3 driven by a proud omega team member
Try selecting the internal SD card instead
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Thanks guys.
I just reflashed the ROM again since i wanted to try different mods and this time around i made sure i didn't chose the interna2external sd card option.
things are the way they were before.
thanks for all your help.

[Q] Problems with App2SD

Hi All,
I've just rooted my Mediapad 7", and installed this rom on it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2042440.
But now I downloaded DroidSail App2SD.
Now comes the problem:
When I try to move a game or app to the 16GB (FAT32 Formatted) memory card, App2SD says: "There is not enough space for moving".
But my SD-card is totally empty...
Can someone help me?
Many thanks!
Greetings, Rik
its better to use a great script named "70vsd" made by sanix. this script will make a symlink in your internal but the real data folder in the microSD

[Q] Rooted my android tablet...need help moving apps to SD CARD?

Hello everyone im new here...
I have been at it for hours, and i have finally managed to root my tablet. Its a samsung galaxy tab 3.7.0 wifi only with 8GB of internal storage, most of which is taken up by system memory. Its model is the SM-T210. I have a few questions and i would be very grateful if you could answer them...
1) How can i move apps to my sd card?its a 16gb sandisk...i have already tried folder mount, apps 2 sd and APPMGR 111, but they are either not compatible for my device or dont work/let me install them?
2)ive rooted my tablet...now what do you reccommend i do?
Thanks everyone, in advance.
1) Give Link2SD a try, it sounds like the closest to what you want. Make sure you read its FAQ, it's not a one click solution and you'll need to setup your SD card first.
2) Why did you root if you don't know what to do?

[Q] Insufficient storage available

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 5830i and today I bought a new SD card because the old one was crap. I had this problem before, I have it now. When I try to download an application from the Android Market, there is always this error ''There is unsufficient storage available''. I checked and I had 23 free MB of Device memory and 1.8 GB free on my SD card. I read a lot of articles about this problem and tried many ''solutions'' and nothing fixed it. I will be really, really thankful if anyone can help me fix this. Cheers :good:

You can always use scripts to increase the memory like CronMod Unofficial. But the problem with scripts is that it lags after you install some apps. This is because your ext partition is mounted as the /data mount point and SD Card read /write operations are slower than internal memory read/ write operations. So I suggest you use Link2SD Extreme which lags less compared to other scripts. Link2SD places the app link locations in the internal memory and corresponding data in the ext partition. Since the links are in the internal memory, it will be much faster. All you need is a rooted phone, rom with init.d support (all custom roms have one) and ext partition on SD Card (Go to CWM> Advanced> Partition SD Card> Size (1GB)> Swap(0MB) wait for "Partitioning Done!" message). Make sure to do the setup right. If you created the ext partition using CWM, choose ext3 as the partition type from Link2SD pop-up. Only if that doesn't work go with ext2 or then ext4. Here is the link,
Link2SD Extreme
Try to implement this is a newly flashed rom with newly created ext partition. Hope I Helped
