It was bound to happen, the DNA is almost a year and half old. At some point, as great as this phone is, it will be time to move on. I'm waiting on the M8, then I'll give my DNA to someone who needs a good phone.
The support was awesome while it lasted (TWRP).
I actually thought it was already dropped because we haven't had an official update in awhile..

It sounds like because of kitkat's selinux requirement, it makes it a lot harder for the twrp devs to support all these devices because they don't own them. Hence why he is asking for others that own the devices to work on getting a working kk compatible build

I just did a test build of the latest twrp using my device tree, reuploaded my device tree to my github and sent Dees_Troy a PM, so hopefully we should have continued support. If not, don't worry, I will continue to do unofficial TWRP builds.
Just got a response from Dees_Troy that it will continue to be supported and should be released tomorrow.

Lol I don't think he's putting it away for good, i think he just wants to get some stuff going for the One Max. I'm sure .torrented can do a fine job at maintaining beastmode.

2.7.0.0 BETA is official and Live for the DLX. Use the search function in the TWRP thread if you want to find it. I'll probably contact the TWRP Team and see if they would like some help. I don't want this beauty to go down without a fight.
EDIT: I have contacted Dees about maintaining and testing, and will keep you guys up to date on the situation. Don't give up hope yet!
That's what I'm actially using. I've been using it for awhile now... Didn't know that was official I thought it was unofficial though.

JFYI: TRWP 2.0.7 official (Kernel?) have broken Wifi connectivity (grey wifi button) flashed back to 2.0.7 beta fix the issue

It's the exact same as stock but deodexed and rooted. Nothing else. No tweaks. No optimizations.
It also allows users who want to modify it the way they want since it is completely stock. Devs can build off of it.

Can this be flashed using 4EXT or must it be renamed and flashed like any other stock ROM? (relocking bootloader, renaming file, etc)
Curious because I wanted to update to the "R2" version released by football..but might as well use this if it's already rooted and such, save a little time.
By the way, anyone know what the difference is between the latest ICS OTA and the "R2" version posted by football? (it wasn't posted in the Amaze forums, but it was posted on his filefactory account)
Kind if irritated that I even updated to ICS at all right now (used the OTA) because it seems to have totally borked WiFi calling (there's some kind of crazy delay that appears ~10 minutes into a phone call... other users getting the same thing). Really didn't want to S-OFF and revert to GB, though, so hoping this "R2" release fixed that
Whether this means anything for us is yet to be seen but still cool to know

Well if you mean towards jelly bean, yes and no. I don't think we can get aosp jb as their wont be a kernel for it. I think since JB is closely related to ICs versus the big difference between GB and ICS that it wont be as hard to go from one to the other

Actually yes, Chad is working on the kernel/RIL issue. I talked to Dmaedows on twitter informed him of it, it was the first he heard of Chad's working on it. Tweeted back later, it seems the two are going to work together, or at the very least Dmeadows is going to merge his fixes with Chad to make something useable.
But as always, remain cautiously optimistic, no promises.

I doubt we'll get a fully working JB port any time soon, few months at best.
Last I read on the ICS RIL was the kernel source was needed so we are stuck waiting for the update to be release and the source to be posted on HTC's dev site shortly afterwards...
No idea if that's truly the hold up, just something I saw awhile back.

Going to start a ROM bounty here.
Plain and simple i love the idea of the ROM and would like to see a stable build for us.
Bounty will be played upon dev completing a stable build with no major bugs (ie. cell/data/3g,late working/MMS,GPS etc)
I know this can be done and would love to do it if i had the skill sets or the time.

They can flame all they want. Doesn't bother me. I'd like to see some new stuff in the community and am willing to fork out some money to see it. There may or may not be others that feel the same way but hey that's their opinion.

Yeah I've tries it as well as a few other ppl here phone FCS along with contact storage.
I manages to get data working with some edits but no one can get cell service ie. Phone calls to work even when using an alternate dialer like exdialer. Simply says dialing and never goes through.
I also tried the porting tool same issues

To be honest, I have no clue and don't care . I never wait for carrier updates anymore, just flash the international rom and get updates that way. Just my opinion.

I agree with you sentiment. I can't wait to get android 4.2. I'll get it early because I'm already using Cleanrom 2.5 which is 1.29 based. I know it will eventually go to android 4.2, I'll flash and then I doubt I'll notice it on a day to day basis. If I get a little better battery life, I'll be ecstatic.

So it is, I thought it had been updated to the 1.29 based kernel. I was flashing the ElementalX kernel over Cleanrom but didn't do it when he went to Cleanrom 2.5. Thanks for pointing that out, I was mistaken.

That doesn't mean you haven't spammed the forums with numerous threads that are of no value to anybody. If you don't have anything ACTUALLY useful to contribute then you should stick to lurking and flashing roms. Yes I know sellers86 did it a while back but camera does not work along with many of the settings. Since then he has no longer done anything with it. And yes I have talked with him about working on this project:*)

Most settings work. And iirc I didn't ever say I was done with the project. I said I was done with the 3vo but I meant on xda (I hate xda). School is out, and I have some more free time on my hands.

Sorry about the mix up as you stated you said you were done with the 3vo. I will keep my builds of this to myself (they will not be on any of my file host sites). As always if you want a hand you know where to find me.
