[Q] hTC Hard cover - HTC One X+

Ummm, hello
so i bought a htc one x+ 64GB around a week ago...
It came with a White silicon cover which i am having a hard time with, i keep on getting annoyed by trying to push the phone into my pocket
but when i try that the silicon cover has too much grip so it sticks halfway i my pocket...
so i'm about to buy a new cover, a hardcover and also a screen protector,
but i can't find any good for the htc one x+, only for the htc one x, so m question is: if i buy a cover and screenprotector ment for the htc one x
will it work perfectly with the htc one x+ or is there a little diffrence in size? i tried googling but couldnt find any answer to my question,
Regards,
-ozi

Next time, post the question in the Q&A section.
But to answer your question, yes. Both screen protectors and covers work, as long as they are both for specific versions of the One X and X+. That is, either International One X and One X+, or North American One X (like the AT&T One X) and One X+ (again AT&T One X+). So be careful, because there are differences between the international One X/X+, and the N/A One X/X+, like the placement of pogo pins on the back of the device - this is for covers.
As for screen protectors, all are OK for any of the models, although it's a bit difficult to find ones that cover the screen completely. Search the threads on this forum and the One X forum for more information on this.

Um, im sorry, next time i will post it there
thanks for your help.

Why do you need a cover anyway ? A phone with a cover makes it extremely big, while it is already not easy to put a X+ into your pocket .

No worries I have large pockets I just hate silicon cases because they stick In my pocket xD

Not true - the X+ is thinner. Read the spec again.

according to the website for the One X+ for at&t, its thicker than the one xl http://www.htc.com/us/smartphones/htc-one-x-plus-att/
One X+ (at&t) 134.8 x 69.9 x 8.99 mm
One XL (at&t) 134.87 x 69.9 x 8.89mm
One X (int'l) 134.36 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm

So i presume, most of the cases for the One X will fit the One X+ ?
If so that is great news.

Should be close, but probably depends on the case. It looks like exiting One X/ XL cases will fit somewhat more snugly and, depending on how rigid a case it is, it may be too snug to fit. I guess there's just one way to find out for sure.

Thanks, it will be touch and go i think, like you said the only way to find out and that would be to buy a case.
I hope it's not much of a difference since I got the Extended Mugen Battery case 3200mAh not to long ago...

Ghost Armor on HOX+

Hi All,
Has anyone installed a Ghost Armor skin for the back of a HOX+? I'm not sure if the new soft back will adhere.
Thanks!
I'm interested in this too.
I feel like a company wouldn't sell it of it wouldn't adhear and IF it didn't I would assume a refund would be the next step lol. But u know what assumeing does

I don't know about the Ghost Armor but I will tell you that I got an Armor Suit carbon fiber skin for my X+ and it wouldn't stick very well. In fact trying to take it off it ripped and the HTC emblem on the back completely tore off. Like it was cut. Because of the carbon fiber it was thick and tough. It didn't bend around the corners very well. Also it was for the OG One X (i know they are supposed to have the exact same measurements) but none of it lined up. I would have had to cut all the openings a little bit. The rubber backing on the phone wouldn't let it adhere the way it would have on a plastic or metal finished phone.
Hope that helps. Use caution when getting cases/skins made for the OG

Slithered from my HTC One X+
I've ordered an One X+ UK GSM skin at BestSkinEver. Can take up to 5 days to deliver. Will post pictures when it arrives.
They (BSE) let you choose between One X+ GSM and OneX+ LTE (ATT). I take it the latter is a bit larger!?

Good cover and docking charger combination for HTC One X+

Hi all,
After spending a while looking around looking sites and asking questions for a good case and docking charger for my HTC One X+ and not finding a great deal of info on the One X+ (the One X seemed to be everywhere, but not a great deal on the One X+), I thought I'd share my experience here...
I went with this hard case
And this docking charger.
The phone fits in the charger without the need of having to take the phone out of the case, which is a great benefit.
Hope this helps people looking for info and getting conflicting info on the One X and the One X+
Is there a version of this case in the US?

External battery case?

Has anyone been able to find one? I've come across dozens for the original one x but I'm hesitant to buy one because I hear the pogo pins don't allign.

May i know where you read that the pogo pins don't align? i was under the impression that HOX and HOX+ are the same in this context.
May be you can look at the Mugen power's one.
---------- Post added at 01:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:13 AM ----------
Had a quick look at the Mugen power website - http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/htc/mugen-power-6000mah-battery-case-for-htc-one-x.html
They list that it is for both HTC one x as well as HTC One X+. So technically any ebay battery case which works would be fine...
i was almost buying it for my phone too, but it struck me that it might be a better idea to have a portable external battery - that's going to fit any other device too! Might not be the case for you

I had a One X (original dual core version) and it DOES NOT FIT the CR650 dock 100%. if you wiggle it around it will work for a second or so, but the international version and the AT&T version of the original One X have a slightly different POGO layout. Assuming the AT&T X+ has that same layout as the original AT&T One X, it wont fit. When I looked at my old One X with my AT&T One X+, the pogo pins look like they are in the exact same spot.

Please note: This will NOT fit AT&T HTC One X

After seeing someone mod the CR-S650 to fit the AT&T HOX, I ordered the dock and modified it to work with the HOX+. It was actually a lot easier than I thought because the POGO pins are only shifted over 1 space. So I took it apart, drilled a hole one space over and moved the entire POGO board over 1 slot. Now I have a working CR-S660 for my AT&T HOX+!
Moving the POGO pins over 1 slot lines up w/ the phone horizontally, but it's still a bit off vertically. I had to shave off the two small plastic tabs on the botton of the dock. This most likely means that I won't be able to use a case w/ the phone, but still very happy to have a working dock w/ POGO pins.

Both posts found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965189&page=2
I assumed because if it didn't fit a pogo pin dock, then how would it fit a pogo pin case?
The external battery is a good idea, but I dont want to have to carry cables + a battery around for some extra juice. I found one on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/External-Portable-3500mAh-Battery-Charger/dp/B008HAU29E/ref=pd_sim_sbs_cps_1) and I think it should be here by tomorrow. If it works then I will post back.

Agree, Dock and case are same... I think it would wok. will wait for your results!
I got my case but as I predicted the pogo pins don't line up. Its only $20 so I might as well try to modify it so they do. Hopefully I can figure something out.

Converting INT battery case to AT&T

I bought a case on amazon thinking it would be compatible with my phone but it seems to be only for the int original one x. I've read that cases for the xl work with the x+. The case splits in two and it seems like all I would have to do is make holes to scoot the pins over. Any tips on how to do this and thoughts if it'll work?
