IR Blaster - AT&T HTC One (M8)

So.. I did a little checking, because I have a wrap around case, the IR is in the power button on this phone.
I used a razor blade and cut out the power button from the silicone part of my case and it works just perfect. Can still access the power button as usual.

Phone case + extended battery

Does anyone know of any phone cases that will fit a Touch Pro2 with the extended battery installed? I'm not talking about a regular pouch case but a case with all the cutout for the volume rocker, power button, camera lens, and USB port.

Any luck finding a case?

m1 Case

Got my M1 case and I really like it, fits nice, the stands sits at the perfect viewing angle and it looks good too.
I only have 1 issue with it and wanted some input from you fellow M1 case owners..
My issue is the little part the goes next to the 4 soft keys on the right side (in landscape mode) that little piece of leather doesnt seem to want to sit down, so it sits kinda elevated and it covers the soft keys ever so slightly....
So I'm wondering if this will settle in, being that its leather... or if you guys trim it a little for easier access to the soft keys? Thanks!
I wish I had the answer for that. However, the m1 case is synthetic leather so I don't know if it would settle or not.
On my M1 case that little strip next to the soft keys does lay pretty flat already. The only part of the case that kind of puckers up is the top edge (in landscape mode) around the camera.

Did it always lay flat or only after it broke in?
The strip next to the soft keys pretty much layed flat from the beginning. It didn't need to break in. I'm hoping the strip along the top lays flat after some breaking in time.

Speck Candyshell case power button

Hello, I just purchased the Candyshell case for the ATT Note and the power button seems tight where its seems like its almost depressed without pressing on it. It does not feel tactile like the volume keys are, for those who have this case, is this your experience with the case as well?
I have the same case.... No problems with any of the buttons. The travel distance and pressure required to activate the buttons appear to be normal.
Ok I wonder if I just have a bad case?

To guys with the Seidio Surface kickstand case.

I just got it in the mail and tried her on. I should have known by how tight it was too get on that it was gonna be a ***** to get off.
Low and behold, I wrestled with it for almost 20 min. It says to press your finger on the rear finger indent to I guess suppress the clip, then slide the top off.
Well, I was pressing down so hard I was afraid to damage the phone.
I ended up having to bend the case over the side and put an eyeglass screwdriver between the 2 pieces to get it off.
I thought of a way to modify the case to not lock as tight, but I was looking to get some thoughts and experience from you guys.
Thank you

I swear by the Seidio Surface Kickstand cases, I have had one for almost every phone I have owned. I use it in combination with their holster.
They are stiff, and they are tight, but I think that is part of why I like the snug fit. It does loosen a bit with use.
Here is what you do:
Apply pressure with your left hand to the top, and pressure to the bottom part at the same time. So basically you are forcing the pieces together. While doing this, press down on the middle release and then pull them apart.
Works every time for me.
It does take some gentle persuasion to get the case off. Have you considered using sandpaper to take a little plastic off the small "hook" that secures the halves together?

Thanks to you both.
Before i read this I actually did just that. I took my dremel and just slightly shaved off the tab just a bit. That seemed to work perfect. Its just tight enough to hold and loose enough to pull apart with some force.

[Q] XPERIA Z2 buttons problem

Hello, I've accidentally spilled some cappuccino with a lot of sugar on my Xperia Z2 phone.
Luckily, it had all of the flap covers properly closed.
But it was so sticky that i eventually washed it with running water.
There's no problem on camera, sound or anything. But just the buttons.
Power and volume buttons no longer have "Clicking" feel, it's more of a "Squishing" feel.
In a better way to describe it: The buttons are functioning properly, but their click is odd, it's like pressing your finger inside a sponge, or a pie. anything but a regular click.
Is there any way to fix this? should i apply water specifically for that area or it may go inside?
Thanks in advance!
Try using a toothbrush and warm water.
Power off the phone then hold it on its side so the buttons are facing downwards, with gravity helping minimize the chances of excessive water ingress. It will be fiddly but push each button on its outer edge with a fingernail to depress it and use the toothbrush to try and 'rinse' around the button and the opening. Keep dipping the brush in warm water, hopefully it will dilute and remove the coffee mess.
Keep the phone on its edge and rest on a tissue for a while to dry.
Thanks.

Thank you, I've actually managed to do the trick using a wet cotton swab.
After powering off my phone, I began rubbing the swabs hard enough on both sides of the button until the cotton started to tear down.
I repeated the same process while buttons are pressed down, i tried pulling them a little out using my fingernails or a thin surgical forceps, but the buttons didn't seem to move at all.
However, I can feel a significant difference after hard rubbing them using cotton swabs.
Thank you for helping!
No problem mate. Glad you seem to be getting there. Your choice of a cotton bud was obviously better, it would keep the clean water in closer contact with the buttons. Maybe after a few more rinses they will be back to their normal feel.
