Unlocked One M8 compatible with ATT LTE? - AT&T HTC One (M8)

I wanted to buy the One M8 unlocked instead of the ATT version.
Does anyone know if the unlocked version will be fully compatible with ATT LTE?
Thank you.

No its not compatible with LTE. It will only work with HSPA+

According to who? This is the first instance I've read of someone saying LTE won't work.
I have 2 units on order from HTC and everything I've read says the unlocked version will work on AT&T LTE.
Here's 2 examples...
http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-m8/375483-unlocked-htc-one-m8-t-lte.html
http://www.phonedog.com/2014/03/26/...d-unlocked-models-now-available-for-purchase/

Yes, the unlocked version is definitely compatible with AT&T LTE.

If you look at the HTC website you will see in the description that both the Unlocked and Dev's Editions support LTE bands 4 and 17, which are the bands that AT&T uses.
http://www.htc.com/us/go/buy-now-htc-one-m8/
(pick Unlocked or Developers, pick a color, and click "Continue" to see description, specs)

My bad I misunderstood that he might talking about the international unlocked. I apologize!

[Q] Is it possible to unlock this phone?

I live in Denmark (Europe), so the phone has not arrived yet, but when it does I am pretty sure it will be very expensive. The American version (Non Sprint) isn't that cheap either, but it is cheaper, so I have been thinking of buying one and then getting it unlocked.
Is this actually possible, when it doesn't have a SIM card? I found a website which will unlock the phone and I think actually give me the right network?
Website: htcimeiunlock.com/htc-evo-3d-unlock
Well this is just my question, is this actually possible?
Thanks and best regards

Yes it can be flashed to various cdma carriers. I.e. boost, metro, cricket .... Etc

but the short answer is no because your European carrier is most likely gsm and therefore not compatible with the CDMA Sprint EVO 3D

Yeah...And anyways...Flashes to other CDMA networks is always messy....Hold out for the GSM version that is supposed to launch in Europe soon?

Or get the sensation. It's the EVO with everything but the 3D

I do not understand why it's unlock-able, when it's still not possible to use it in other countries that use GSM. Whats the use in unlocking it then? Sorry, but I know nothing about this stuff.

Well that could work too...But the 3vo still runs better than it...
Either way, you'd have to unlock the Sensation from Tmobile then.

Anybody using this on AT&T?

I know the specs show that it has AT&T LTE bands, but had anybody actually used it on AT&T LTE yet? If so, please report your impressions.
Thanks.

I'm confused why so many people are worried about unlocking and band compatibility. Get the one from your own carrier !

Works exactly the same for me using an AT&T SIM in the T-Mobile HTC one. The other way around, I get less HSPA+ service using an AT&T SIM in a T-Mobile HTC One.

No. The AT&T one doesn't fully support T-Mobile while the T-Mobile one fully supports BOTH T-Mobile and AT&T.
For people who don't want CDMA-based service, the T-Mobile version is the best one to buy for compatibility.

Are you sure about that, Maybe the AT&T version needs to be unlocked for it to work on T-Mobile's HSPA+ Network. I hope like hell it does because I would like to have the 64gb version working on my Network of choice, T-Mobile of course.

This has been discussed to death on the boards.
All the phones have the same internal radio hardware but what's been flashed to each device is different.
i got a att version unlock, big mistake for tmobile. i flashed tmobile rom and radio. alot of places in new york i get 2G which it was constant 4G with my note 2. Place where i get 4G i only get 7mbps. while with my note 2 i was able to get up to 18mbps. Order the tmobile version will return this one. The only reason i bought this is because they had it locally in ATT store while tmobile htc one is on backorder and not avail in any store.
Unfortunately Samsung doesn't just make the same model for both I would imagine it would save them money also but att phones work slow on T-Mobile but other way around your golden

[Q] [QUESTION][HTC unlocked versions for T-mobile}

Will the U.S. unlocked version and also the delevoper version work for T-mobile and still get 4g and 4g lte? I'm in Chicago.
If I root the htc one then what benefit does the developer version still have?
Aren't there like 10 threads about this?

HTC gpe radio questions

If I buy a HTC one from Google and get the play edition will it work on att network and would I get all the hspa+ and lte on att including their new band 2 and 5 they just realeased ?
Or should I just use HTC one from att
?

Yes, it will work on the AT&T network. It'll work just as any AT&T device.
It is my understanding that only stock Sense roms have the new bands disabled (via a build prop line); so that should work as well.
Plus, you can always flash the AT&T radio if you want to compare the two.

[Q] Need help deciding which one to get

I am still deciding whether I should buy ATT version or T-mobile version but I can not tell how these are different.
Can you guys enlighten me? Can I unlock T-mobile version and use it on ATT 4G as well as LTE? Flashing ROMs based on stocks from both carriers work ok on both of these phones? I have not had HTC since HD2. Thank in advance.

The TMO version will get full speed on both ATT and TMO. The ATT version will not get TMO specific AWS (high speed 4G). However the ATT is available with 64 gb of storage.
I would get the TMO version and unlock it - TMO will do it if you pay full price up front.
