Bose mie2 headset on Xperia P - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi all,
I wonder if someone is using the Bose mie2 headset on its Xperia phone.
I recently bought a headphone which I had to send back because it was not compatible at all...
Thanks for the feedback,
Jan

No idea about this exact model, but the Xperia P jack is wired for "CTIA standard" headphones and OMTP type ones require an adapter to swap mic and ground. Headsets for iPhone are CTIA but volume buttons are not standard and may not work (on the Ace 2 a kernel patch was released to support them)

The mie2 would be an android-compatible version (iPhone version is mie2i)
I already know about the omtp adapter but with the previous headphone even that didn't work:I had to push the button on the remote to hear something I was playing --> return to sender.
That's why I ask now before I invest

Just use the one that came with the phone and plug in headphones of your choice.
Please refer to the accessories section of the X10 forums for more information. This is why no one is answering you; it has been discussed.
I use the only good thing from my n97 mini. The headphone, mic set. Very good sound. Buttons dont work tho, but bass is phenomenal. Ear bud type.

These are fantastic ear buds. Have been using them since 2008. They added the mic when the iPhone 3GS was announced, so they do work with mobile devices. I haven't tested them on the x10 since the pair I own were purchased before the mic was added, but I am pretty sure they would work without any problems.

Might want to check out Zagg's site as they have their ear buds on sale for like half price. I hear they are comparable too Bose ear buds. I use a Motorola bluetooth stereo headset. Its awesome but the max volume is a bit low for my taste.

Well, according to the samsung vibrant FAQs, yes bluetooth stereo headsets are supported (A2DP, AVRCP).
i'm still shopping for one myself, but i heard that those and the s9-HDs are good but i think motorola is now up to s10.
i'm also looking for a stereo headset, and i'm stuck in between the BlueAnt Q2 and Samsung Modus 3500.
Ok Thanks. Yea I found them somewhere for like 35$ if.I.find the link again ill post it up

I have this one, was only ~ $40
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Modus-HM3500-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B003Z5DP72
It supports stereo through any 3.5mm headphone jack enabled device or via a2dp.

I have the S9, non HD, and love them. I was going to upgrade to the S10 but I actually read somewhere that they aren't as good as the S9, so I'm sticking with what I got. I got them for like $40 from newegg.

Hit thanks by mistake. On mobile. Btw u can try any Nokia headset or buy another good quality headset from Sony. Because all headsets don't work on our phones due to a different hardware configuration.

And I am not advertising, i just found them here so i shared it with you. You can buy from anywhere you like
Original Neo headset is pretty good too. Good bass and clear voice. Also skullcandy smoking buds are even better. And they're cheap, in my country they're 27 euros.

Thanx for the reply bro, so which headset i should choose for good sound quality and mic? ANY suggestion?
Yes Sony MH1 liveware.
Work flawlessly and available reasonably. £17 GBP on amazon.co.uk. I recommend changing the rubber buds though, the supplied ones have a small hole meaning you can easily accidentally align them wrong, so the sound aims at the wrong part of your ear. This is likely the cause of most mentions of only one side working, have experienced that myself before I swapped them.

Most non Sony ones will need an adaptor, a few others work but tbh the info is sketchy at best as you find reviews stating both, as the Sony ones where cheaper than smoking buds with mic I edged my bets with Sony ones.
Personally I'm very glad I did, I used to think the stock neo gb music player had bad sound quality with the original headset, now is as clear as glass. I have also used smoking buds with no Mic and the sound is better in my MH1's

Further to this some Sony ones don't work either, make sure any you get are for 2011 devices, I was given a pair from an Xperia S that don't work, you have to hold the mic in to get full sound. Starting from the S they now use the same standard set up as apple.

I also dislike stock headset so I ordered on ebay.com for new ones, and it works
Before that I tried headset from my LG P350 and it doesn't work on Neo, but some old aiwa headphones work but without mic

Headset Jack/Connector problem

Hello! I would like to ask if anyone knows how much would it cost if you repair the headset jack, a hole on the top of the phone where you connect your headset, in the store? It is not detecting any kind of headset/headphones. Thank you!

IPhone changed the Mic and headphone jack pin out, u need a Sony ctia convertor or a 15 uk pounds pair of gummy plus by JVC cos they come with the need cable need from arc to live, its a pain in the arse, I bought loads, most Dont work either, the convertor made them all work, beats included

MDR-NC750

Hi,
Has any one tried the new Z5 nc ear buds (MDR-NC750) with the Z2?
I was wondering if anyone found them to be better than the MDR-NC31EM.
Thanks
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
I think NC33 is much better due to it's in Walkman family, not Xperia.
you miss the point. The phones I mentioned are the only ones I can find that use xperia noise cancelling.
I was wondering if anyone had tried both on an xperia phone with nc.
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
To me MH 750 is best. But sorry i didn't try other sony heads sets. But i have tried beats in ear headsets, MH750 is better that them And apple 5S headset too.
i have both, and cant hear any difference until we get Z5 features.
Ok tested sound and its frustrating. Without actual hard or software u cant have the sound as with NC31.
