[Q] AllShare Cast - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I wanted to ask whether the screen mirroring option under settings -> display -》 wireless display would mirrior my screen to a Samsung LED TV?...... I am confused because of the allshare cast, that it may might only support the devices which have Allshare cast.
I have a Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082 android 4.2.2)
One thing more that I did not found allshare cast on my mobile..... but in samsung apps there was a update for Allshare cast[ I updated it] and after that I tried to open from the Samsung apps but can't. I think this feature is disabled by Samsung. You'll probably think That there cant be wireless display option if I am having samsung mobile. I am using a s/w
Named "wireless display helper" by ppgirl on play store which directly lead me to the display option that is hidden.
So, can I use miracast technology to mirror my screen. If not, how to enable all share cast which is hidden to mirror the screen?

[Q] Allshare cast?

Is Allshare Cast supposed to be available for the SGS3? I can't find it anywhere in the menus. I was hoping to be able to share my phone screen on my tv like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY-pni6KToc
For anyone else looking for info on this topic I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678135. @aussie2sweden, many believe the dongle may not be necessary if you have a DNLA SmartTV from Samsung, the dongle merely being for TV's without that support. Do you have any support for you comment that the dongle is necessary? I have googled it and find no such supporting documentation.
Update: Samsung site says coming soon http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxys3/feature.html#allsharecast
google it..

Allshare Cast is an addon dongle you need to buy.
You cant use the DLNA in the S3, with your existing DLNA render in your TV.. to mirror your screen..
to mirror your screen like in that video you must purchase either the Allshare Cast Dongle going on sale soon, or a MHL HDMI adaptor..
Has anyone read when the Allshare Cost dongle will be available??

[Q] Allshare cast without dongle

Hello, I have samsung i9300 s3 , n8000 note 10.1 and samsung smart tv 55es8000.In addition I don't have allshare cast dongle.
I can sync between TV and s3,note 10.1 (allshare play, it works)
But, allshare cast doesn't work. İf TV Samsung smart tv ,alshare cast dongle which costs 100 $ still necessary?
Don't read specs of your tv, but the es5700 does not support all share cast. So check your rv specs. If not supported you need the dongle.
Also maybe interesting: I read in other forum that the i9300 will only display 720p with the dongle due to ram limitation. That came directly from samsung support. Actually note2 and s3lte should be the only devices playing full hd with the dongle.
Maybe samsung already changed this behaviour via firmware... dont know

hmm.. read a bit in other forums... seems that even samsung gives different answers.
Actually it seems that all tv's don't support all net cast without dongle.
But if you tv has wifi n standart and it could be that samsung sometimes enables all share cast on your tv via update.
Haven't found anybody who get all share cast working without donge. even on samsung top models.
I guess they simply haven't activated this feature until today.
The "alowed shared devices" are those devices that alre allowed to stream videos via all share play to you tv.
The difference is that all share cast, completely clone your desktop to tv, while all net play just send the media you're watching like video, photo etc. Check your default video player while watching video. You'll habe a "share symbol" on the uper right corner.
Press it and you stream the video to your tv.
Hope samsung will activate the all share cast on tv that support wifi n

[Q] How to mirror my s3 with smart tv WITHOUT any dongle

Hi guys... I have a galaxy s3 with custom ROM (C-ROM 4.4.4). Now, i've a Samsung smart TV f series, that has the screen mirroring source. Now, how can i mirror my smartphone to the tv without any dongle like Chromecast? For example with an app? In the htc one there is the "media output" in settings, that find my TV as "miracast device", and connect with it and start mirroring ... But my s3 hasn't nothing like that!!
Really nothing?
You don't have an option called cast screen in Display menu? I have this on CM 11 and I can see my screen on Samsung Smart TV

[Q] cast screen to my toshiba android tv

Guys want to get my n9 LTE tab screen displayed on my Toshiba android TV.
With my Samsung note 2 the screen mirroring works superb by which I can view my phone screen on the TV whereas with my n9 when I use cast screen in the settings it shows no devices available.
I have installed this app called localcast But still no luck.
Plz help.
Sadly Nexus 9 support screen casting (miracast) to smart tv only if you have Chromecast and configured wifi connection. I'm in same situation,, my nexus can't cast screen to tv only sends videos from YouTube app

Does the Galaxy Tab S3 support Miracast or some form of screen mirroring?

I don't own a Tab S3 yet but I am considering buying one.
One of the required features on my list is the capability to wirelessly "mirror" or "cast" the display of my tablet onto a TV screen or projector.
Does the Tab S3 have this feature and does it work properly? (provided that the wireless network is decent)

Yes, you can cast your sceen using the Google Home app and a chromecast plugged into your TV. It works great with very little lag if any.
Thanks. I was actually looking for a solution that doesn't require an additional device. (I don't have a chromecast device and its not easy for me to get one)
