Micro USB 3 OTG Cable for a penny - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Accessories

First post so please don't shoot me but long time lurker.
Love my 12.2 and glad I didn't get the 10.1 2014 edition I originally intended.
Anyways, I came across this deal and wanted to share with everyone
http://www.amazon.ca/IVSO-Micro-Sam...ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3GTVEGDRUYMSL
I've never heard of them but for a penny why not. Yes it is short but I don't need a longer one...
Update -
Ordered and free shipping since i signed up for prime which I will cancel. Will post a review when i see it at the end of may lol...meh no rush for me on it.
Update 2 -
Part arrived in a lovely grey envelope, wrapped in beautiful bubble wrap and encased in a blister pack Scissors required.
The connection is a little snug for my liking but the device does work as advertised. It recognized my 500GB WD My Passport Ultra formatted in exFAT perfectly.
9/10 because of the snug fit, packaging (hate blister packs)
*should get a y-adapter version for longer needs when I need power*

just found this in amazon! Case and USB Keyboard

hello guys! As I go through my research on getting a case that is just meant for my g-tab, finally after a long browsing and searching, it is already available in Amazon! (mostly good for U.S. consumers)
Attached are the pics which I uploaded for you guys to see. Also, it looks like it just came out so there's no reviews yet or maybe I'll be the first one who will write the review!
Will give this a try in Amazon.

LOL! I hate that snow! See that's the thing, I am a bit skeptical doing online purchases outside US... not that I don't trust them but might as well wait till it's available in US market, plus on top of that is you can track them but I hope u'll get yours on time! Give an update if it works well on you.

Purchase two from China back in December. Works perfectly.
How well does this hold the GTab? Has it ever fallen out on you?

Funny they are apparently relocating the tab just like everyone has been doing here. So you pay $10 extra to get someone to mess up with your brand new case with an exacto knife and hot glue
Hope they pre-modded some in advance and you guy don't need to wait for them to get it all the way from china do the mod and then pass it your way.
thats true...at least if I'm not satisfied I can return it easily to Amazon.
I also got the skinomi skin protector so if this case will scratch my screen,I'll be able to tell. I also hope it will hold the tablet well enough.

Did it get any scratches in ur screen? Does it holds the tab ok?
Thanks for the heads-up on this. I thought about ordering one from ebay, but Amazon is so much easier to deal with, and Florida is soooo much closer than China!
Any have any experiences working the keyboard on this case?
Wenger case
Bought a protective soft carrying case at Best Buy that fits perfectly - it's a Wenger (has the red cross logo). Just took my G Tab in and experimented till I found the right fit. http://www.wengerna.com/search/results.php
Great for travel, but sounds like the Amazon deal may be better.
Purchased the one on Amazon. Ordered Friday and received Monday. Works as advertised. Tab moved from blocking USB. Patch looks great and well done. USB cable more than long enough. This is a WINNER!!!

This case holds the G-tab well. It has the magnetic snap so it won't fall on you. Got mine today, Im satisified with it. Keyboard works too.
here's a quick review i wrote up for androidforums.
-nice material, well made
-keyboard works flawlessly with VEGAn (i didn't even get a prompt, just plug and play)
-keyboard functions will run android commands (i.e. windows button = android menu button)
-stand holds it at a great angle for viewing (this is a must, especially with our screens)
-does not cover any accessory ports (micro/mini USB, headphones, charger) or buttons (power, volume, etc.)
-DOES cover part of left side speaker and all of right side speaker (although you can still hear them)
-no plastic bracket to hold top of tablet (uses the magnetic closing strap to keep it in while upside down which concerns me slightly, although the magnet is fairly strong)
-included stylus does not work (duh)
all in all, i would certainly recommend this case. i am pretty sure that the only comparable ones out for the g-tab right now are $10-15 more than i paid through amazon, do not include a keyboard, and ship from China.
i have much better pics than the ones on Amazon, but i can't post them yet. [email protected] newbie mode!

Received it today! (17th of January to the 2nd) Looks good, keyboard works, modified for the Gtablet (http://witglobal.com/goods-2286-10i...for+Viewsonic+Gtablet+10+-+Free+Shipping.html) so the tablet slides into case from right to left. The left support covers the mini-USB but the USB port is available. Keypad works fine. Case sits a little too upright but I can deal. For $25 delivered it works pretty well. i also received my suction cup holder (http://witglobal.com/goods-2005-Car...nic+Gtablet+10+Car+holder+-Free+Shipping.html) and it is a little less impressive. Currently suctioned to my desk. The arms cradle the unit securely but stick out about 1 inch beyond the face. I will probably put a little velcro to secure it a little better. Not overly happy about the fit but for $20 I might be able to modify it to work. It does swivel nicely which helps for viewing angles.
These along with the dock I received, I think I have all the accessories with the exception of an HDMI cable.

G Tablet case with USB Keyboard

Greetings all,
I saw this auction, and am honestly surprised I haven't seen anyone bring it up here. I'm honestly curious about it (specifically, how tight it fits), so I'm wondering if anyone is willing to bite? I already bought a different case through the same seller, so I'm strapped to purchase another one, but if someone picks this up and reviews it, I wouldn't mind selling my current one for this bad boy.
Anyone??
When I bought my G-Tablet it came with this case/keyboard combo. Here are some quick thoughts on it:
-its a great combo and does exactly what it needs to do
-build quality of the case is pretty good, materials feel a tad cheap
-stand on the back is VERY useful, held to the case with a magnetic enclosure
-tabs that hold the tablet in place are metal, tablet is held loosely in place on 3 of the four sides, it IS possible that it could slide out if you carry it wrong
-hidden magnet in the "spine" holds the USB plug in place
-keyboard keys are a little small, some keys are tightly crammed into the bottom right hand corner (. , / and shift plus direction arrows)
If anyone has any specific questions, just send me a PM.
Notice the tablet they are showing is not the Gtablet
You can buy these on Amazon for about the same price, if you don't want to mess with an auction.
I ordered one and it was shipped really quickly. It is about worth what you pay for it. It feels a little cheap, but the keyboard seems well-made and sturdy. The keyboard works perfectly fine (Vegan) and it is pretty easy to get it hooked up. The only potential problem I see with it is that there is nothing other than the clasp at the top to hold it in. I certainly wouldn't turn it upside down.

I mean granted. But they had the other G Tablet case that doesn't have the G Tablet shown in pics, and one of the XDA board members showed it off, and it's a nice, snug fit.
i purchased this case directly from the sellers website. i used it often. it is china-based, so i did wait about 30 days for delivery.
i am completely satisfied with it given the price.
Do not buy
This case looks and feels really cheap. It is made from shiny plastic. You will have to remove the metal tab that is on the left side of this case to access the USB port. It doesn't hold the gTab secure at all, it will slip around a lot. The keyboard is plastic and not silicone so it will constantly rub against the screen.
There's already a thread here that people have been discussing this case for months and it is a piece of junk.
Ordered and returned two of these
Each case with keyboard I ordered was defined as specifically made for the Gtab, but in order to use the usb port, I had to bend the left tab out of the way. Each vendor did issue a refund.
I thought the case was ok, and the keyboard worked fine. But having to adjust the tab was unacceptable.
I' m patiently waiting for the bluetooth keyboard and case to arrive at electroniccrap.com.

i got it . keyboard works very well . But tablet doesn't fit tight and you need an other cable to connect from keyboard's cable to g-tablet's usb ^^ it's not really good
Here is a video review of this case made by moi.
Before you roll on the floor laughing at my Asian accent, damn it I'm trying the best I can.
Ok, here it is.
I recieved mine from Amazon a few days ago. Tablet didn't fit in it at all until I bent the Tabs in to hold it better. And you still have to be careful that it doesn't fall out the end. Turns out I don't think I'll use it that much at all anyway, since I mostly use my tablet on the job site. Unless you REALLY need a keyboard, you're better off spending a couple of bucks and download thumb keyboard.

Bluetooth keyboard support is "iffy", at best. Good luck though.
I have one that I got a few days ago from Amazon.
I am not having any problem with it fitting correctly, so it may be that they are just not very consistent.
You do have to be careful about it sliding out the one side when carrying it around and the one clasp does cover the small USB in port for connecting to a computer.
In my case the USB cable had no problem reaching.
The kick stand is a nice feature.
All in all am find it useful but it does have some short coming, so it would not be for everyone, and there are probably better ones out there, though for the price and am happy with this unit so far.
Case/keyboard on Amazon
Newbie here. Got my gtab a week ago and have been looking at this case/keyboard combo. Am I crazy? I thought these were $30-$35 a few days ago. Now $127.50?????
[I tried to post the link ..... but newbies can't.]
THAT ...... is no bargain.
And a big thank you to all who post the good info here!

Did you plug it in before booting up the tablet? It seems to not work sometimes if you plug it in after the tablet is already booted up.

That worked...I now have a G-TableTop
I got one of these but it was the one marked for Apad/Epad/Gtab so needless to say it doesnt fit exactly but it wasnt a big deal. I am not having to many problems with the case in any way infact my stylus clips on the band quite nicely. I have noticed that the caps lock doesnt seem to work but thats another issue for another day.
Anybody find another case?
Been checking this thread and I am wondering if anyone has found a good keyboard/case? I would appreciate a link if you have found one. Thanks.

Has anyone used the Targus Spruce Mini Messenger?

This thing: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0046SNNRY/.
I have a rooCase coming in next week, but I'm looking for something else for extra padding when I'm traveling and to carry accessories with the tablet.
It looks like this Targus bag should be about the right size, but I was wanting to make sure.
Yes I have one. I got mine at target for around 24 bucks. It is a perfect fit. I imagine the keyboard will fit in the other compartment perfectly but i have no keyboard.
The inside pocket might seem to small but it is very soft and it doesn't take long to stretch making a very snug fit.
It holds my prime and 2 chargers. I don't have a need to carry more but there is room for it.
I 100% recommend this bag.
Yeah, I saw it at Target a couple of hours ago for that price, which is why I asked. Thanks for the review!
I have it as well and second the perfect fit. When the dock is attached to the tablet it fits next to the inside pocket. When their separate, the tablet fits in the pocket and the dock fits right next to it. The padding is soft and not excessive. I included some pics for you. There's also room for the charger in the outside pocket and of course a cloth for the fingerprints.
I also paid 24.00 at Target but couldn't find online for that price. I 100% recommend
I almost bought it several times in the month ( felt like months) wile my prime was preordered. Then my wife bought me one for Christmas though I still had a bit of a wait. It is perfect for travel. It feels like it was made for the prime.
I picked up this at Best buy. Had some rewards points that needed to be used
http://www.amazon.com/Targus-CityGe...1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1326572391&sr=1-1-catcorr
It fits it well and it has the two compartments which fit it nicely if I detach the keyboard they can both be separated and protected if I choose or it fits fine as one piece. It has extra pockets on the inside for my mouse, cables and charger.

I got this one. It looks exactly the same but the two compartments are supposedly a little bigger than the one you posted. Yours is the TSM148US while mine is the TSM097US. It's a little cheaper too.

Perfect for my ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and its keyboard dock, June 8, 2011
By L. Paquin (San Francisco, CA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Targus CityGear Netbook Case for up to 10.2 Inch Netbooks- Black and Grey TSM097CA (Personal Computers)
I have been looking around to find a good mean to carry my ASUS Eee Pad Transformer tablet around and its Keyboard/Docking Station but not necessarily always docked. Most netbook carrying bag only have one padded compartment to put the netbook. I was looking for one which had two sections so that I can leave them undocked to quickly pull the tablet alone quickly (as opposed to pull the docked tablet, undock and then put the keyboard back in the bag).
Last weekend, I brought my Transformer and the keyboard dock and went shopping around for that perfect bag. I found the Targus CityGear Mini (TSM148US) and tried it. The form factor was definitively what I was looking for but one of sub-sections was a little tight. I still decided that it would work for me and that it might strech a little over time. Then, when I looked on Amazon, I saw that there was this model, the Targus CityGear Netbook Case for up to 10.2 Inch Netbooks (TSM097US), which had pretty much the same specs but was cheaper (always a good thing). So, I decided to try it.
I received today and quickly opened it. It is pretty much the same as the one I tried last weekend but the two sub-compartments are bigger. So, no need to strech them and they work out of the box. It is a great way to carry my tablet docked or not to the keyboard. The side pockets of the bag also offer enouch space to carry the charger (it is pretty small anyway) and also my Arkon Portable Fold-Up Stand (great stand for this tablet BTW).
So, all-in-all, I highly recommend this tablet. I had been searching for recommendations for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and did not find anything that stroke me. This is why I thought of writting this detailed review (and I will post pictures) for my fellow Transformer owners!

I've ordered one of these, but it hasn't arrived from Korea yet:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/141179770720
I'm very much hoping that this (which I also ordered, already received, and works great so I'll probably be getting another one for my desk) will fit into it, and I'm pretty sure it will:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6SPYJS/
If not, I'll just order the official LG charger to fit in the dock. It's not much more expensive.
Also, check out the Car Dock Thread. There is some discussion of wireless docks in there:

This is a copy of the post I did for the same topic when I had a Nexus 4 about 9 months back. I also used this setup for my Galaxy S4 and now I'm using it for my Note 3.
I just finished installing my Smart Fit2 (model TCD-C800P). There are plenty of pictures of it and a link to order on the thread for LG WCP-300, but I mounted it on a different base. It was designed to hold the WCP-300 Qi charger, but works fine just as a mount with no charger, and is inexpensive. I paid $19.95 including shipping and I think it's a few bucks less right now.
The base I used is a 17mm ball adapter on a PanaVise vehicle specific mount that fastens to the dash frame behind the radio trim. That part took about 10 minutes to install and used the existing radio screws/holes. The metal bracket fits without any noticeable gap in the trim. I picked this method to keep the phone in easy reach, out of the windshield, and as a bonus it's where I can aim an air vent at it if the charger starts to warm the phone up too much.
If you want to do this in your car you can save from 5 to 10 dollars by looking up your dash bracket on the PanaVise web site, then order it through Amazon.
The WCP-300 charger is $40 from a Verizon store or from their web site, shipping is free.
Not only did the pictures disappear, but when I COPIED the original post the XDA app evidently deleted the entire original post, and the app won't let me insert a new picture, I think they want me to buy the premium app.
Just use your imagination.

Granted it has been 6 weeks or so since I looked, but back in October or November the supply of the SmartFit2 dried up. They went from >$20 to <$100. Great concept, but the dock has been unavailable.

Ebay was where I found the Smart Fit dock, and mine finally arrived from Korea a couple of days ago (it took just under 3 weeks to reach me here in the US). The Power Bot charger I bought ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6SPYJS ) fits perfectly, and it was clearly designed to do so. The dock seems pretty sturdy and holds the phone securely. The Note's size makes it a little awkward to reach the release button, but I've almost gotten the hang of releasing the phone with one hand without dropping it.
Incidentally, that charger appears to be a generic model sold under a number of names, including Power Bot, MuchBuy, DigiYes, and Koolpuck. The unit and packaging look to be identical, whichever name it is sold under. I haven't had any problems with it and now that mine is installed in my car, I'll be buying another one for my desk.

Bonus items from HTC - Taiwan only

Hi guys,
I purchased my U ultra in Taiwan about 3 weeks ago. My cousin (who lives there) sent on a gift pack that I received as a result of the purchase of the phone.
It was presented nicely in a big box, (no pics cuz I asked him to dump it for shipping's sake).
Here are the items:

https://goo.gl/photos/4TKmQApML5AGyhis5
Case is made well, smells of rich leather. Has multiple card slots inside, with 2 larger full length slits, for folded bills, or receipts. On the rear of the case is another card slot, perfect for travel cards, or a tap and pay credit card.

Best of the three is the powerbank imo. Supports QC 3.0.
Very nice! I like that power bank.
is there anyway to get those for the international version I really wanna get both lol idc how much it is as long as its below 60$ case I just prefer HTC man equipment with my phone
Got mine from HK - got that pack too. Key chain, power bank with usb-A to usb-C cable & the leather flip case
