You need to be already on this F2FS ROM or the official M-kernel

May be converting my wife's n7 to this. Nice to know I have carbon as an option. Otherwise it wouldn't happen.

I know not everyone is into multirom, but it has the most simplest way to convert your system to all-f2fs.....the dev is amazing

Wonderful rom. I just have one problem with it.
I can't add new file into the system partition, it always tell me there is no space left (when there is 15 Mo minimum left). When I wanted to installer Viper4Android I had to hack the ROM installer to add directly into it the file needed for the audio driver.
Is there a way to resolve this issue ? is it linked to the f2fs file system or the way it's mounted ? (of course I remounted it as rw)

Yup :
That what the df command is telling me. I think it's quite weird, because if I do a du -s /system I get :
1048576 system
There is something wrong with filesystem for the /system partition because I have no problem for the cache or the data partition that are giving the correct size.

Well that's how the FS is after a clean install.
If you check the install script, it does format the system partition before putting any file onto it.
For an unknown reason after the first boot, the partition get filled.
Edit : Okay, I found the reason : Slim_AIO_gapps.
Don't install the full version of the GAPPS, especially G+ and Google Home that are taking 40MB together.

Ok I'm back I will convert it tonight

This gave me the push to go to f2fs and I'm glad I did.
Thanks

OK good you fixed it Cheers

Anyone ever have the Omni feature get stuck where it shows recent apps frozen on screen and then when you try touching the screen it just keeps throwing out the omnibar? Sometimes it will crash and force close but then sometimes I have to reboot.

[MOD][13AUG]Multi ROM for Nexus 4 | Multi Boot |

Introduction
MultiROM is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod made by @Tasssadar for Nexus 7 and ported to Nexus 4. It can boot any Android ROM as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch (not yet).Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiROM can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiROM is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. You can see how it looks on the left image below and in gallery. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android ROMs, daily prebuilt image files to install Ubuntu Touch and MultiROM even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.
Features:
* Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
* Restore nandroid backup as secondary ROM
* Boot from USB drive attached via OTG cable

Installation
Warning!
You can't use 4.3 and 4.2 together !
You can't use multiple boot images!
Note 1: Sometimes booting secondary ROMs can take a lil'more time, don't get scared.
Note 1: Your device must not be encrypted (hint: if you don't know what it is, then it is not encrypted).
MultiROM has 2 parts you need to install:
MultiROM (multirom_vXX_n4-signed.zip) - download the ZIP file from second post and flash it in recovery.
Modified recovery (TWRP_multirom_n4_YYYYMMDD.img) - download the IMG file from second post and use fastboot or Flashify app to flash it.
You current rom will not be erased by the installation.
Download links are in the second post.
1.Flash the modified recovery
2.Flash the MultiROM zip
3.Enjoy!
Click to collapse
Adding ROMs
1.Android
Go to recovery, select Advanced -> MultiROM -> Add ROM. Select the ROM's zip file and confirm. As for the space, clean installation of stock 4.2 after first boot (with dalvik cache generated and connected to google account) takes 676mb of space.
Click to collapse
Using the USB Drive
NOT TESTED YET !
During installation, recovery lets you select install location. Plug in the USB drive, wait a while and press "refresh" so that it shows partitions on the USB drive. You just select the location (extX, NTFS and FAT32 partitions are supported) and proceed with the installation.
If you wanna use other than default FAT32 partition, just format it in PC. If you don't know how/don't know where to find out how, you probably should not try installing MultiROM.
If you are installing to NTFS or FAT32 partition, recovery asks you to set image size for all the partitions - this cannot be easilly changed afterward, so choose carefully. FAT32 is limited to maximum of 4095MB per image - it is limitation of the filesystem, I can do nothing about that.
Installation to USB drives takes a bit longer, because the flash drive is (usually) slower and it needs to create the images.
Enumerating USB drive can take a while in MultiROM menu, so when you press the "USB" button in MultiROM, wait a while (max. 30-45s) until it searches the USB drive. It does it by itself, no need to press something, just wait.

Updating/changing ROMs
1.Primary ROMs
- Flash ROM's ZIP file as usual, you can format cache/system/data & do factory reset before flashing (it won't erase secondary ROMs)
- Flash the MultiROM zip file again.
Click to collapse
Secondary ROMs
If you want to change the ROM, delete it and add new one. To update ROM, follow these steps:
Go to Advanced -> MultiROM -> List ROMs and select the ROM you want to update.
Select "Flash ZIP" and flash ROM's ZIP file.
Click to collapse
Explanation of recovery menus
Main menu
- Add ROM - add ROM to boot
- List ROMs - list installed ROMs and manage them
- Inject boot.img file - When you download for example kernel, which is distrubuted as whole boot.img (eg. franco kernel), you have to use this option on it, otherwise you would lose MultiROM.
- Inject curr. boot sector - don't use it !
- Settings - well, settings.
Manage ROM
- Rename, delete - I believe these are obvious
- Flash ZIP (only Android ROMs) - flash ZIP to the ROM, for example gapps
- Add/replace boot.img - replaces boot.img used by this ROM, this is more like developer option.

Ok, I unboxed my brand-new Nexus 7 [2013] (LTE) aka "deb", unlocked it, rooted it and flashed TWRP v2.6.0.0. Reboot to system was successful.
After that I booted to TWRP, did a factory reset, wiped dalvik cache, flashed your ROM and Gapps. All tasks were successful. After that I tried to reboot to system and now I only see the Google logo with the unlock sign for a while before the device turns off.
Any help is greatly appreciated...

After years of flashing ROMs (must be since my QTEK S200 with windows mobile) I didn't make sure to have a working ROM/backup if things go wrong

BTW: I pushed the backup folder to: "/data/media/TWRP/BACKUPS/<serial no.>/" did a factory reset and re-flashed TWRP afterwards

Download firmware file, and install via HBOOT or fastboot. This will update your HBOOT (2.10) your radio (1.13.11.1105), and some other important firmware bits. Make sure you remove or rename any PJ75IMG files from your external SD card after this step.
Download recovery file (TWRP 2.6.3.1b) and flash via fastboot. This version of TWRP has been modified to accommodate the updated partition layout for this update.
Download ROM (either version), and flash via TWRP. If the TWRP gives an error and reboots, hold the volume down button to get back to the bootloader, boot back into recovery, and flash again. It *should* flash fine on the second attempt.

Nice work man thank you for bring us such a lovely Rom. I hope you have as much fun as I did building and maintaining this Rom.

So I pulled the feature list directly from the lead developer's thread with the assumption that he had kept up the feature list...appears he doesnt keep his thread up.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091900
So I will edit out all the features from the OP and instead just put a link to the kitkat changelog.
Copy that, but I don't see why DPI settings aren't working. Xposed is there, as well as app settings, so it should work.
I installed and enabled, then rebooted.
I'll keep trying.

I did that. I've used Xposed in almost every ROM I've installed. I'm familiar with it.
Attached pictures, and I've granted SU permissions and rebooted twice.

I did not test dpi, I set an app to "landscape only" and that worked after enabling in the modules.

I flashed the Full Modular GAPPS from the 0-day PA so my messaging app didnt look any different. I was able to attach a picture and send without issue.
Edit: so, I wiped flashed Just this rom and the PA Gapps, and sure enough force close...google is clearly forcing us to use hangouts...but in all seriousness it seems to be affecting CM nightly as well
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50141180&postcount=1184
So, I will recompile and post to OP as soon as CM has the code cleaned up with a fresh build. Sorry for the trouble.
Ok cool cause I was having the same issues with decks irc build with the messaging app ill try this out once you get it fixed

Repartition guide for
The GT-i9100
Introduction:
This script came a long way before landing here. It originally came from @forumber2 with his guide for the GT-i9300. It then went on to the Note 2 by @ninekaw9 and @smeet.somaiya before I decided to port it over to this lovely device.

What does the script do?
It basically removes the partitions present from your device and creates partitions with modified sizes.
TLDR: A flashable .pit file

Features
Adds more space for more apps.
Reduced cache partition for even more space for apps.
No need for a computer, fully flashable in CWM.
How To Install?WARNING: From this point onwards, this guide requires your fullest attention so that it will not brick your device. I tested this on my own i9100, and it is working perfectly.
Links will be provided at the end of the post.
This will wipe everything from your device! Please make a backup before proceeding. Don't say I didn't warn you.
There are two methods to flashing this script. Both works perfectly fine.
Method 1 If you're using 1.1 and above, steps 6-9 are not needed!
Download the two recoveries provided in the Download post below.
Reboot into recovery (CWM or TWRP needed)
Flash philz_touch_6.07.9-i9100.zip and reboot into recovery.
Flash the repartition-apps<xxx>-data<xxx>.zip (Note: It will hang at rebooting to recovery in 5 seconds. Just take out the battery and boot it to recovery.)
Flash kk-kernel-05-01-TWRP.zip and reboot into recovery.
Click on Wipe, then Advanced Wipe.
Tick Internal Data, then click on Repair or Change File System.
Click on Change File System, click on EXT4, then swipe to confirm.
Click on Change File System again, click on exFAT, then swipe to confirm.
Go back to Advanced Wipe, tick on
Dalvik Cache
Cache
System
Data
emmc
Then swipe to wipe the 5 partitions.
Next, click on Install and install your preferred ROM.
Reboot and enjoy!
Method 2 If you're using 1.1 and above, steps 5-8 are not needed!
Download TWRP and the "parted" file from the bottom of the post.
Using a root browser (Root Browser recommended), place the parted file you have downloaded into /system/bin and set its permissions to "RWXR-XR-X".
Reboot into recovery and flash kk-kernel-05-01-TWRP.zip and reboot into recovery.
Flash the repartition-apps<xxx>-data<xxx>.zip
Click on Wipe, then Advanced Wipe.
Tick Internal Data, then click on Repair or Change File System.
Click on Change File System, click on EXT4, then swipe to confirm.
Click on Change File System again, click on exFAT, then swipe to confirm.
Go back to Advanced Wipe, tick on
Dalvik Cache
Cache
System
Data
emmc
Then swipe to wipe the 5 partitions.
Next, click on Install and install your preferred ROM.
Reboot and enjoy!

Do you need a zip file with a custom partition size? Post a feature request and I'll attend to it ASAP!
I will be updating this thread (probably) weekly, but I will provide support through my mobile device.
DO NOT use this on stock ROMs. You will brick your device.
Follow the guide CAREFULLY. Please.
Hey there,
First response it seems. I'll have to try this later as I haven't had to repartition my S2 and it sounds a lot quicker than using say ODIN for the job. Anyone had any issues yet?

Thanks.

You'll have to do that using a .pit file. I think it's required to flash stock ROMs.

Mirrors up. Mirrors for beta build will be provided at a later date.
I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but what happens to the space between 12.4 GB and 15.2 GB? In the original partitioning there is 1.94+11.5 = 13.44 GB of space, while this setup has only 4.48+6.33 = 10.81 GB. Thank you for you time.

I need quick respond if Rom doesnt boot or have fc's after. Thanks.
Hi, i will test it later when i will go to home..thanks
does this require f2fs type of filesystem? I can't boot the boot animation does not even show, there's just like static everywhere. I waited like 20 minutes and nothing happened.
I flashed using TWRP(not by novafusion)
Installer will format your system partition to EXT4, so now will be this file system, on others partitions you can use EXT4/F2FS, doesn't matter, its Novafusion's kernel with genfstab.
ROM should boot in less than 10 min, so...are you see MIUI image on black background only, right?

It booted with the last kernel! Will edit here to report experience!
Review: The phone booted (at least 15 minutes initial waiting time). Some of the icons in the homescreen are misaligned but can be fixed manually. The animations are not that smooth but is okay. I can send messages, camera works fine. The pictures can also be seen in the gallery app. However, music app and the file explorer app has a long time to scan media. The sdcard and internal storage are mounted but no files show up. I assume the media scanning process takes a long time to finish.
Sorry Polish vodka but stuck on the logo.
