With the Xposed modules you can change the layout like battery, network speed indicator
Aircommand terminal command and tips:
Remember when installing the Aircommand that you will disable some features of your note.
Like some quick command options and Spen gestures.
Why this option:
That is the reason why I build in a command that makes it possible to disable Aircommand or enable it, this way you don't need to reinstall the rom to get rid of Aircommand, with this command you only need to reboot your tablet to enable/disable it.
When you disable the Aircommand all normal features of the Note8.0 will work again. So it is up to you to decide what you want.
Open terminal emulator
su (enter) airoff (enter)
su (enter) airon (enter)
Tip to pop up the Aircommand :
Go to Xblasted modules - Statusbar - Gestures and select a gesture to pop-up the Aircommand trigger app.
I did long press in statusbar. Now you can open the Aircommand in any app by long presing the statusbar area
If you are looking for the Spen window manager only (no aircommand) support I suggest you install this app (best but you need to pay for it) or this , it can only makes pen window short cuts. where the paid app allows much more options .
With one of these apps you don't need Aircommand to have the pen windows.
Don't use Chrome use Chrome Beta.
Installation:
First time you install KitKat rom follow the instructions. After that there is no way back to JellyBean BOOTLOADER and your warranty is void as the KNOX is tripped in bootloader. You can still install JellyBean Rom compaired with JB kernel on the new bootloader Kitkat bootloader not needed with new included kernel
Download the rom from this thread for your device and place it on your Note8.0
Install the latest PhilzTouch recovery for your device (I'm running philz_touch_6.41.6-n5110).
Full WIPE if you install this rom for the first time.
Install the rom and reboot
If you have ROOT problems go to the recovery and RE-ROOT with the PhilZ recovery option.

Use the GMD Aircommand shortcut to open aircommand , Use the pen window manager to add or remove apps frome the Aircommand penwindow manager, Use the Spen launcher settings app to open Aircommand on detaching the Spen.

yeah I kinda figure out, haven't use Odinv3.09, so BL kinda made sense as bootloader.:laugh:
once flashed new bootloader on my current 4.2.2 Civ ROM, it reboots the tablet, and then from there I need to reboot into recovery to flash your new 4.4.2 ROM, right?

Un-check reboot in Odin.
And reboot the tablet in recovery and then flash the rom.

all went fine, except I can't able to get install advance arama option (root, exposed) using aramo option.
I rebooted back recovery after I went thru initial setup settings..etc..all good stuff, once I was on recovery, i start arama again, and select advance option, went thru all screen and clicked finish....tablet reboots, and I checked there's no xposed app, nor SuperSu..nothing...
tried again, still the same result..
not sure what I am doing wrong

Installation:
First make a backup.
Install with CWM
First time you install this do a full wipe.
AROMA:
The Touch functions in aroma don't work correctly so use the hardware buttons
Power button = select
Volume buttons = navigate
If the Aroma installer gets stuck at the final finish button after installation do a hard reboot and just reboot the tablet.
The rom is installed but some times this can happen as it is a large installation zip.
Note on Touchscreen problems after installation.
Option1: Do your settings and Reboot after installation.
Option2:Use the Note8.0 Mode switcher and change to Tablet reboot and then back to Phablet mode.

Note on Odexing rom.
Your accounts( google , samsung,...) info will be erased so re-enter them after odexing the rom
Auto reboot after odexing doesn't work so do a hard reboot
After odexing many apps FC , DON'T worry the reboot will fix it.
Odexing will make your rom smoother, all apps and framework in system are odexed.
Modding is still possible , just re-odex the rom after you changed some app or framework.
Re-installing the rom will give a a deodexed rom so odex command needs to be repeated.
Note on Touchscreen problems after installation.
Option1: Do your settings and Reboot after installation.
Option2:Use the Note8.0 Mode switcher and change to Tablet reboot and then back to Phablet mode.

You want Tablet mode?
Use the Note 8 Mode switcher, this will set your DPI to 177 so it goes to Tablet mode.
Some apps like camera and keyboard layout will be a little off.
You can install the Android keyboard in aroma which got the correct layout in every DPI.
You want MultiMode?
Use the Note 8 Mode switcher to switch between different multiwindow modes.
Navigation Bar in phablet mode.
Black build in the rom or see attachments.
USE THE NEW TERMINAL COMMANDS
you can use "PimpMyRom" app and enable the navigationbar. but the touch response is not as good then when you use the terminal command to enable it. You will get this as I modded the systemUI to make show correctly:

I don't support devices that I don't have, sorry. I do it sometimes but this one I pass. So don't expect a rom or kernel for the 5100 from my hand.

I also did a factory reset and wiped both cache and dalvik twice.
Installed but had a problem with the Play Store. I wiped cache, dalvik and fixed permissions. All ok now.
I've been playing with this rom for a few hours, it's great but there are sometimes rotation issues. Sometimes it Just stays in landscape mode and i have to reboot or play a few time with the rotation toogle before it works again. Dont have the problem in portrait mode. Any suggestions ?

No reboots here , you sure no leftovers of previous roms and maybe UV settings if you did a custom kernel.

No problems here. I didn't change anything regarding that , not in the rom or in the kernel.
Thanks civato, its working for me. Just a note for anyone who wants to use wifi direct, you must select the 'Allshare' option in installer or you wont be able to send (receive works ok without that selection).
Doing my nandroid on mine now then installing. Been looking for this since last week when I got my device. Thanks civato!

I don't understand there are two Stock Roms in the Forum one for the 5110 and one for the 5100. Check it out.
Thanks for the rom. It is silky smooth. Only thing I noticed is the auto brightness is not as sensitive as before. Not sure is it only me or not.

Note on Odexing rom.
Your accounts( google , samsung,...) info will be erased so re-enter them after odexing the rom
Auto reboot after odexing doesn't work so do a hard reboot
After odexing many apps FC , DON'T worry the reboot will fix it.
Odexing will make your rom smoother, all apps and framework in system are odexed.
Modding is still possible , just re-odex the rom after you changed some app or framework.
Re-installing the rom will give a a deodexed rom so odex command needs to be repeated.

Stupid question maybe...how come your rom is 1.2gb, but the CM rom is 156mb?
*I realize the stock rom is also 1+ gb, just curious how the other rom is able to be so much smaller

CM has always been and probably will always be smaller than most roms. Just different code (built from ground up) and not using the 4.2.2 TW leak as a base. This rom does use it as a base so the size will reflect that. Other thing that might have a small effect on size is the amount of packaged apps in each rom.

CM roms, and ALL AOSP roms are very much smaller than the TW roms; there is no TW bloat, no samsung bloat, nothing except what is needed to make your device do all the basic things...thats why AOSP roms are also much faster, and more nimble that TW roms...
So, you have to decide if the trade off of speed, fast, and agile is worth losing all the Samsung/TW bloat/apps that you get with a TW rom...
Remember, things like S-pen, readers hub, and every other Samsung app probably won't work right, or work at all on any AOSP rom..
We are slowly drifting OT. I would just add that if someone bought the Samsung Note 8.0 and is now seeking an AOSP rom, probably he made the wrong choice and should have bought a Nexus 7.
Please someone upload the rom to another server! It is impossible to download it :silly:

REV1.1 will be uploaded to 2 different servers, I didn't expect it to be so popular.
Rev1.1 got some new stuff like 4Way reboot menu.(worked 5 hours to get that working)

If you are on a 4.4.x ROM, my recommendation is to flash via ODIN the 5.0 Official Lollipop Update from T-Mobile, then... make sure your BASEBAND was really updated to FOB6 (see screenshot above from About device screen) If your BASEBAND DOES NOT SAY N900TUVUFOB6 then pull off battery and ODIN again. Re-Root/TWRP, and then, and only then... you can go ahead and flash this ROM.
-> LOLLIPOP ROOT & RECOVERY GUIDE HERE by someone called @TEKHD (in other words, this is the guide that you need in order to update your baseband to FOB6) (and just in case... again... you need to BE on FOB6 in order to flash this ROM) (Just making this as easy as possible)
So,... I am providing the ROOT & RECOVERY GUIDE for your T-Mobile Note 3 plus I am also providing the ROM INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS... It is IMPOSSIBLE to make this any easier. Any questions just ask!
STEP 0 - MAKE A NANDROID (always important)
STEP 1 - TWRP -> WIPE -> ADVANCED WIPE and do this 3 times... (see image below)
STEP 2 - Install ROM... (May take like 10 min to boot the first time)
BULLET PROOF (FAIL SAFE) INSTALLATION:
STEP 0 - MAKE A NANDROID (always important)
STEP 1 - Download the Stock FOB6 Kernel-> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934544329 (put the file in the same folder as the ROM in your phone...)
STEP 2 - TWRP -> WIPE -> ADVANCED WIPE and do this 3 times... (see image below)
STEP 3 - Install ROM... (May take like 10 min to boot the first time)
STEP 4 -> If for some reason the ROM does NOT boot (I have tested this a million times and never got a single bootloop, but if you do...) Go ahead and boot into recovery, (Volume UP + HOME + Power) and flash the Stock FOB6 Kernel. Now your phone should boot normally.

Installation
1.download, and place on external sd, if possible. (Fail safe ) always good to have if you ever format internal storage
2.already on 5.0, grab the necessary tools to boot into safestrap, nc2 flash apk, (search general forum if you're not sure) I always flash the nc2 kernel from the app, exit the app without rebooting, and then go into safestrap and use the reboot to recovery option there.
3. Do the normal wipe, in advanced, all but ext sd
4. Install rom from wherever you have it stored
5. The last step is to flash the 5.0 kernel zip( also found throughout the forum . EDIT step 5 might be obsolete, if anyone can try it report back, if it doesn't boot we have to do it the normal way flashing oc1 kernel
6. Don't forget to thank the development, He didn't have to port one for att, but it happened, and it's sweet

Battery life on International and T-Mobile variants of this rom is simply out of this world, really amazing.
Sorry, I don't work with CM12 (for development)
Regarding scores and benchmarks I honestly never do benchmarks... but there are some screenshots I believe from some users at the international thread...

Rom is very nice at all but the problem i am having is mobile network.. sometimes its coming and going but most of the time no signal....any fix for this issue

What were your exact settings because I tried manually setting up the APN and I still wasn't able to get any service. I didn't have any problems getting service after setting up the APN on the Darklord rom.

I am ready to flash it but i have some thinks to clear before to proceed with the installation procedure....

Installation instructions
Check your bootloader and modem version. Best of all N910GDTS1DQH2 (or at least N910GDTU1DQL1) or N910FXXU1DQL2 are required (links below).
Flash ROM in recovery. Magisk, busybox and Ram kernel will be installed automatically.
I don't guarantee correct operation of this ROM with dirty flashing, but you can try it
The ROM is Multi-CSC "out-of-the-box" due to the advanced install "DevBase" installation system by Alexndr
CSC of your phone model will be flashed automatically (for details, see in the link)
Reboot device. First boot usually takes about one minute.
Set up clocks, potato battery, other status bar goodies in ROMControl app by Robert CM.
(OPTIONAL) Open «Developement settings» (you can enable them in Settings- About device- tap 7 times on the ROM version).
(OPTIONAL) Under «Developement settings», scroll to the very bottom, «signature spoofing» should be enabled.
(OPTIONAL) (microG only)In MigroG settings, Device Registration and "Google Cloud Messaging" should be enabled
(this can be switched off after Google Account setup, if required)
Setup Google account normally. In some cases, wiping data of Play Store may be needed after Google Account was set.
(OPTIONAL) Enable UnifieldNlp (Network Location providers) in GPS settings. (microG only)
If you decide to switch to stock kernel, you can do it by flashing the stock kernel from one of the links below.

LINK : N910T, N910W, N910V & N910P datafix zip packages by louforgiveno <- these are meant to be used on S7 port ROMs, so you'd be better off editing build.prop manually to your N910(T/W/V/P) model.
To clear things up, Samsung has released software base recently almost at the same time for N910G and N910F devices.
In fact, these two bases are very close to each other.

How to resolve "Triple clock issue"?. DO this:
1. In ROM manager app (Status bar) set up clocks. E.g. I had potato clock centered,while having stock clock disabled.
2. After the second clock will still be present in status bar; reboot!
3. After reboot, only one clock will be there. Enjoy.

I flashed with datafix and boot up flawless and simcard mobile data works too.
But why launcher is not changing dpi from 530 to 570 or 640 when i change dpi in rom control ?the rest is changing such as systemui notification panel etc

RamKernel will allow to pass Safety Net test with magisk, so you'll be able to, say, use Android Pay while keeping root. If you care about this...
Adbd permissive will allow you to run adb shell in permissive root mode always by default.
If you not care about this, you indeed may try the stock Kernel
Hey, i was meaning to try this rom out as i was looking all over the place for a good stock-based rom but i seem to be having problems flashing the modem+bootloader in odin. throws an error if flashing with AP or BL (i assumed AP at first since it's a combo of both). not sure what im doin wrong. i'm trying to flash from lineageos btw (i didnt have problems with flashing modem+bootloader there)

when coming from roms other than stock, it is recommended to flash full firmware and then flash stock based custom roms

Installing a custom ROM requires TWRP, and installing a modified binary such as TWRP, will increase our knox timer to 0x1, restricting us to use most of the knox features and without a way to reset it. - First we need TWRP with working /data partition. If you don't know how to, please go to THIS thread.
- Download the ROM from here :

- Push to the phone
- Wipe system/data/cache/dalvik
- Install the ROM and after the auto-reboot wait about 10mins.

- What's dual statusbar (DSB) ?
+ The mod consists on duplicate the statusbar size and unlock more "positions" on "Statusbar views position" on DRC. This will give us more space to place our views like carrier, network speedmeter, batteries, icons, etc ...
- How can I activate dual statusbar ?
+ Once you flashed the ROM, you have a zip on the internal memory called DUAL_SB. This zip will detect which statusbar you have and change it. So it's valid too to revert dual to single.
- Why the statusbar custom background takes some time to be shown after a reboot ?
+ This happens only with images (not colors nor gradient), and it have a reason, when the device is booting, the UI can't access to your internal memory (for security reasons), so, when the mod tries to load the image, it fails. On the past this give us a headache with force-closes and not showing images. Now it simply will load it when the system sends the flag BOOT_COMPLETED. How much time it takes ? Not much really, from 10 seconds up to 1:30min.
- Where I can find backgrounds that fits with dual statusbar ?
+ We added a folder on your internal memory called DLX_BGS with more than 50 designs. If is not enough, you can always use any other image...
- Why I can't enter to the sub-screens on DRC ?
+ The statusbar views have a "master" preference called "Icons hidden", ALL the icons picked here won't be visible on the statusbar and the sub-screens will be disabled (why would we edit preferences without show the view ?). Don't forget to un-hide before edit them.
- DRC needs root and busybox to work ?
+ No. ONLY the kernel configurations needs root and busybox (both).
- I need mTweaks to configure DeluxeKernel ?
+ NO. You have a screen on DRC to configure it, so, don't use other apps while you're on this kernel.
- I switched to permissive but it doesn't change.
+ First of all check root and busybox, if they are ok wait few minutes. Sometimes magisk is slow to grant the root. This applies to all kernel configurations.
- I rebooted and I'm again on enforcing SELinux.
+ The boot is always with the default values, and as the statusbar, when the flag BOOT_COMPLETED is sent, kernel configurations are applied.
- If I flash another kernel, will DRC override kernel configurations ?
+ No, if is not the kernel provided, DRC won't show you the preferences related and won't apply them, so you can still using the app provided (usually) with the kernel.
- Double tap to wake doesn't works as expected with AOD.
+ Known issue, but no solution for now. (AOD have already a double tap to wake with the home button without press it, maybe is enough with it )
- What's the "Fingerprint wake-on" exactly ?
+ I made it thinking on the S7 where the user needs to press the button to wake-up the screen, but is good for us if we don't want to wast battery with the sensor. If it's disabled, fingerprint stills working, but won't wake up the device.

I like 3minit clock because there a tons of settings and customizations(also a little bit more than RC - i miss german date settings^^) . Yeah i look'd up to all RC settings.
To rambar - 4 me i think it's too far down (i only know it on top) . Look at my attachment

After installation on my S8-fd, I have to play with Magisk manager and enable permission, after that can start Rom control. Then, no root, and installed Magisk 16.4, enable System ui permision for Superuser. After that, reboot menu worked.
But, still can not enable OEM unlock. What to do?
Gear vr and Dex working? What about people with OEM issues?

The Magisk "fight" are explained on the FAQ, but well, u made it working.
OEM unlock, the ROM contains RMM patch so u shouldn't have that problem. All my testers never faced problems with that so.... i'm not sure what happened.

Gear VR are tested, DEX I don't have, but I don't removed anything related, so it will work.
OEM as I said, have RMM patch so it shouldn't have any problem.

I have flashed this Rom right now to test it and what should i say? Wow. It feels really fast! I have seen the animations in developer options are set to 0.5 but also with default settings 1.0 it feels still really fast. Amazing.
Only 1question. You also have debloat the setup wizard (or something was going wrong on my end)? After first boot i can't set up my phone with wifi, Google account, Samsung account, Google assistant etc. to restore all my apps and settings. It's a bit awkward to restore all that stuff later manually.
Flashed on my note 8, clean installation with DBT CSC (Germany) and SuperSU.
