Installation:
First make a backup.
Install with CWM
First time you install this do a full wipe.
AROMA:
The Touch functions in aroma don't work correctly so use the hardware buttons
Power button = select
Volume buttons = navigate
If the Aroma installer gets stuck at the final finish button after installation do a hard reboot and just reboot the tablet.
The rom is installed but some times this can happen as it is a large installation zip.
Note on Touchscreen problems after installation.
Option1: Do your settings and Reboot after installation.
Option2:Use the Note8.0 Mode switcher and change to Tablet reboot and then back to Phablet mode.

Kernel based on original samsung:GT-N5110_JB_Opensource.

Note on Odexing rom.
Your accounts( google , samsung,...) info will be erased so re-enter them after odexing the rom
Auto reboot after odexing doesn't work so do a hard reboot
After odexing many apps FC , DON'T worry the reboot will fix it.
Odexing will make your rom smoother, all apps and framework in system are odexed.
Modding is still possible , just re-odex the rom after you changed some app or framework.
Re-installing the rom will give a a deodexed rom so odex command needs to be repeated.

You want Tablet mode?
Use the Note 8 Mode switcher, this will set your DPI to 177 so it goes to Tablet mode.
Some apps like camera and keyboard layout will be a little off.
You can install the Android keyboard in aroma which got the correct layout in every DPI.
You want MultiMode?
Use the Note 8 Mode switcher to switch between different multiwindow modes.
Navigation Bar in phablet mode.
Black build in the rom or see attachments.
USE THE NEW TERMINAL COMMANDS
you can use "PimpMyRom" app and enable the navigationbar. but the touch response is not as good then when you use the terminal command to enable it. You will get this as I modded the systemUI to make show correctly:

I don't support devices that I don't have, sorry. I do it sometimes but this one I pass. So don't expect a rom or kernel for the 5100 from my hand.

I also did a factory reset and wiped both cache and dalvik twice.
Installed but had a problem with the Play Store. I wiped cache, dalvik and fixed permissions. All ok now.
I've been playing with this rom for a few hours, it's great but there are sometimes rotation issues. Sometimes it Just stays in landscape mode and i have to reboot or play a few time with the rotation toogle before it works again. Dont have the problem in portrait mode. Any suggestions ?

No reboots here , you sure no leftovers of previous roms and maybe UV settings if you did a custom kernel.

No problems here. I didn't change anything regarding that , not in the rom or in the kernel.
Thanks civato, its working for me. Just a note for anyone who wants to use wifi direct, you must select the 'Allshare' option in installer or you wont be able to send (receive works ok without that selection).
Doing my nandroid on mine now then installing. Been looking for this since last week when I got my device. Thanks civato!

I don't understand there are two Stock Roms in the Forum one for the 5110 and one for the 5100. Check it out.
Thanks for the rom. It is silky smooth. Only thing I noticed is the auto brightness is not as sensitive as before. Not sure is it only me or not.

This allowed me to realize many of them were not working, so I added a lot of missing values, and fixed a countless number of errors, redundant values and typos. So there should be some big improvement on the effects of init.d tweaks.
I also set an order of execution of init.scripts to avoid conflicts.
ø Removed themes and S-Voice
The S-Voice flaw that allowed other devices to use it appears to be patched and it was heavy, and themes were heavy and not really useful, you can download a countless number of them for free on the market
ø Changed installer theme to Sense
I realized that the options subtitles were not readable with ics theme, so most of the tweaks effects explainations were hidden.
ø Pimp My Rom will now come in two versions :
One will include the latest version of Aroma (with touchscreen working out-of-the-box, but issues on some devices) and One using Aroma v2.51 (With touchscreen calibration, and this version appears to fix the weird texture/ghost-input/moving screen/vibration issues people have with some devices with aroma v2.56)

Instructions:
You can flash this on top of any custom rom with init.d support
- Download Pimp My Rom (a.k.a PmR)
- Make sure you are running a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP)
- Wipe cache and dalvik cache in recovery
- Flash PmR in recovery
- A wonderful touchscreen interface will pop-up
(devices need different touchscreen calibration, if the touchscreen doesn't work, use the menu button of your device, select "Calibration Tools" and follow the instructions)

Open the zip of the rom you are running (the .zip file that you flash in recovery)
Inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android
Extract the file called "update-binary" and rename it to "update-binary-installer"
Open Pimp my Rom's zip (i.e : PIMP_MY_ROM-v1.4.1-Universal.zip)
Inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android and delete "updater-binary-installer"
Now copy the "update-binary-installer" file you extracted from your rom to Pimp My Rom's zip (still in META-INF/com/google/android)
Close the zip and flash it

It's very nice Addon...my phone fell more FAST and no one FC or LAG...just 1 thing..Proximity Sensor...stop or start to work bad..in calls...when i aproach the phone to my ear..isn't turn off the screen...and when the call ends...the screen stay off for a while...but all other is GOOD...
did anyone try this on paranoid 2.18?
if so please let me know how its working

On mcm11's today's sysfs nightly version, it works but with the CM kernel. If you apply dorimanx kernel, it stops working. The device doesn't boot. First boot with the dorimanx kernel and this mod active works but from the second onwards it stops working. Just reporting.
Other than that the mod is great! Loads of tweaks and scripts to choose from currently using it on the cm10 kernel.

Installed it on cMIUI 2.10.12 with DorimanX 7.1. The UpdateMe app gave me a FC instantly and won't open, but other than that no problems. It's working as it should be.
Will report after a few days of usage..
EDIT: After a day of usage, no FCs no problems at all. I don't know if it makes anything faster, but there are no problems so I will keep on using it.
Installed on JellyBam, everything seems okay now, will report later for any FC's.

Press Vol up + Home + Power button to enter Custom Recovery.
With the volume button navigate to wipe data/factory reset and press the home button to do it (Warning! You will lose all your data).
Then go to install zip from sdcard => choose zip from sdcard and select KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2. Wait for about 2 minutes for the process to be completed and reboot your phone.

why people make all this custom roms with UI or sound from ICS or JB, if this GB, just leave original sounds and look, or make some new UI and sound by yourself, or just download some different stuff... All this looks like fake for me, fake JB... but anyways, + for AOSP Gingerbread look)

I've been testing your ROM and everything works fine until now, GPS, WIFI, Music player etc. I'll continue testing.
I have some suggestions.
1 The battery % is completely impossible to read, it's way to small, I've seen battery mods with larger %.
2 The font is a little small I think original font is much easier to read.
3 Could we have screen off CRT animation?

Found a problem speruser aplication not working...
When I try to open titaniumbackup or run "su" in terminal both aplications hang... asking for root rigths...
I tried to wide data, clear cache ,clear dalvik cache, and reflashing the ROM and still get the hangs when trying to get root.

This rom has a feel of stock GingerBread. The JB ui sounds are better than the stock samsung ones. I couldn't find the AOSP Gingerbread sounds

1. Its the only STOCK GB battery with % percent.
2. Yeah maybe. I will upload the stock font too for the people that want it.
3. I had it enabled until today, but i disabled it because there were some antifacts. Samsung problems..

Sorry forgot to mention that root doesn't work unless you enable USB DEBUGGING. I will add it to the first post now.

I will attach a newer version of the mod, but keep in mind that it doesnt work right. It needs coding to modify some of the samsungs code in libsurfaceflinger that i dont have.

Your accounts( google , samsung,...) info will be erased so re-enter them after odexing the rom
Auto reboot after odexing doesn't work so do a hard reboot
After odexing many apps FC , DON'T worry the reboot will fix it.
Odexing will make your rom smoother, all apps and framework in system are odexed.
Modding is still possible , just re-odex the rom after you changed some app or framework.
Re-installing the rom will give a a deodexed rom so odex command needs to be repeated.

Stupid question maybe...how come your rom is 1.2gb, but the CM rom is 156mb?
*I realize the stock rom is also 1+ gb, just curious how the other rom is able to be so much smaller

CM has always been and probably will always be smaller than most roms. Just different code (built from ground up) and not using the 4.2.2 TW leak as a base. This rom does use it as a base so the size will reflect that. Other thing that might have a small effect on size is the amount of packaged apps in each rom.

CM roms, and ALL AOSP roms are very much smaller than the TW roms; there is no TW bloat, no samsung bloat, nothing except what is needed to make your device do all the basic things...thats why AOSP roms are also much faster, and more nimble that TW roms...
So, you have to decide if the trade off of speed, fast, and agile is worth losing all the Samsung/TW bloat/apps that you get with a TW rom...
Remember, things like S-pen, readers hub, and every other Samsung app probably won't work right, or work at all on any AOSP rom..
We are slowly drifting OT. I would just add that if someone bought the Samsung Note 8.0 and is now seeking an AOSP rom, probably he made the wrong choice and should have bought a Nexus 7.

DiskUsage app marks that my internal SD Card is 10110MB, 4414MB which is System Data... Do these numbers seem correct? (I am moving everything else to the SD Card)...

REV1.1 will be uploaded to 2 different servers, I didn't expect it to be so popular.
Rev1.1 got some new stuff like 4Way reboot menu.(worked 5 hours to get that working)

With the Xposed modules you can change the layout like battery, network speed indicator
Aircommand terminal command and tips:
Remember when installing the Aircommand that you will disable some features of your note.
Like some quick command options and Spen gestures.
Why this option:
That is the reason why I build in a command that makes it possible to disable Aircommand or enable it, this way you don't need to reinstall the rom to get rid of Aircommand, with this command you only need to reboot your tablet to enable/disable it.
When you disable the Aircommand all normal features of the Note8.0 will work again. So it is up to you to decide what you want.
Open terminal emulator
su (enter) airoff (enter)
su (enter) airon (enter)
Tip to pop up the Aircommand :
Go to Xblasted modules - Statusbar - Gestures and select a gesture to pop-up the Aircommand trigger app.
I did long press in statusbar. Now you can open the Aircommand in any app by long presing the statusbar area
If you are looking for the Spen window manager only (no aircommand) support I suggest you install this app (best but you need to pay for it) or this , it can only makes pen window short cuts. where the paid app allows much more options .
With one of these apps you don't need Aircommand to have the pen windows.
Don't use Chrome use Chrome Beta.
Installation:
First time you install KitKat rom follow the instructions. After that there is no way back to JellyBean BOOTLOADER and your warranty is void as the KNOX is tripped in bootloader. You can still install JellyBean Rom compaired with JB kernel on the new bootloader Kitkat bootloader not needed with new included kernel
Download the rom from this thread for your device and place it on your Note8.0
Install the latest PhilzTouch recovery for your device (I'm running philz_touch_6.41.6-n5110).
Full WIPE if you install this rom for the first time.
Install the rom and reboot
If you have ROOT problems go to the recovery and RE-ROOT with the PhilZ recovery option.

Un-check reboot in Odin.
And reboot the tablet in recovery and then flash the rom.

all went fine, except I can't able to get install advance arama option (root, exposed) using aramo option.
I rebooted back recovery after I went thru initial setup settings..etc..all good stuff, once I was on recovery, i start arama again, and select advance option, went thru all screen and clicked finish....tablet reboots, and I checked there's no xposed app, nor SuperSu..nothing...
tried again, still the same result..
not sure what I am doing wrong

Guys I have spent lots of hours making these mods. Please do not use / share my files in any other ROM without my permission. I hope every developer can understand.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR CUSTOM ROM USERS- Flash Latest TWRP recovery 2.8.7.0 (Recommended as External SD card is also accessible (Useful for Backing up ROM))
- Go to recovery (Turn OFF phone, Keep Pressing Vol. UP + Home Button + Power Button untill you see TWRP Boot Screen)
- Backup your current ROM to External / Internal SD card
- Back EFS also just in case you loose your IMEI & phone signals (Plenty of softwares available)
- Wipe Data / Cache / Format System (fresh install required as it is a new base)
- Flash ROM from where ever you copied
- Flash Addon Aroma if you want to use some stock features (like Samsung cloud which only works before first reboot)
- Reboot to Download mode from power / reboot options
- Flash given Bootloader & Modem files together from PC ODIN (You may ignore this step if already on same base stock or custom ROM)
- Thats it !!! Your device is screwed Kidding
- Your device will automatically reboot wait for atleast 5 minutes to boot as it is a deodexed ROM
- Enjoy & Cheers !!!
FOR STOCK ROM USERS- Turn OFF your Phone
- Keep pressing Vol. Down Button + Home Button + Power Botton untill you see Download Mode
- Once in Download Mode press Vol. Up button to go to ODIN Flash Mode
- Flash CF-Auto Root (The safest & stable method to root your phone)
- After your phone turns ON, turn it OFF again & Go to Download Mode again

Awesome thanks for supporting our dear g900h. I have noticed a few bugs tho.
1. Random reboots during calls, especially during internet calls.
2. 720p v60 and 1080p v60 lag or or no video output in youtube as well as in browser.
3. Always getting "starting apps" every boot.
4. Device overheats after 30 hour of screen time.
Things i have done. I have done a clean install TWICE. I have wipe dalvik and cache, and I haven't moved of messed with any system apps. I believe the reboots and lag is due to the kernel, but is there a way to get rid of the "starting apps" its makes booting up take longer.

Hi. I downloaded stock kernel from Mehdimadi . He has numerous versions, but I found stock kernel is Best. Check out Kian kernel for options.
BTW, I have not had any problems. I added Xposed as well as ran through UBWer ROM cleaner, installed Dolby etc.
