[Q] SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 by AT&T: SM900A, Build UCNC2 - NEED ROOT! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does ANYONE have an idea when I will be able to Root my SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 by AT&T: SM900A, Build UCNC2. I have been trolling for a month now and see nothing and have been disappointed to learn that I cannot downgrade in order to Root. So freaking pissed off at AT&T. Don't use Google due to nasty tactics, left Verizon for price gauging and now these guys. Please respond if you know of a site for info to do this or a site where I can sign up for an alert once a solution is found without making it a brick.

[Q] Galaxy SII Root/Unlock

I just got my Galaxy SII from Bell Canada and need to unlock it to Fido. After spending hours on forums still haven't been able to find a simple guide to do this. If someone could please help me out with this, very anxious to use this amazing phone but don't really want to pay $40 to get a unlock code. I've been using Android for a couple months but haven't really gotten into rooting until now. Thanks.
All the info you need should be on the first post of this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193695

[Q] Should I get the Galaxy S2 Tmobile now or wait for the ICS version?

Greetings:
I have a good deal on Tmobile plan (family plan, 3 lines, 1 line with unlimited data, all for $85/month for the 1st 20 month, $70 thereafter). Should I get the Galaxy S2 Tmobile now or wait for the ICS version one? I am not a techy therefore I don't think I am be able to root the device later to get the ICS update. More over, I am afraid that rooting can either brick my phone or easily get infected or both.
Your comment and advice is greatly apreciated.

ICS version? Galaxy S II should get official update anyway... it is the fastest phone on the market atm...
Correct me if im wrong but i think ICS will be a new firmware update for S2 when it comes out..so dont think it matters
ICS version?
Are you talking about the galaxy prime? if so id wait till we get a proper look at that beast.
Samsung really are on form atm.
Thank you all for your comments and helps. Due to an unusual circumstances (it's a very long story), I have to go to locale Tmobile store to sign up a 2 years contract with the SGSII.
Do you have any antivirus install on your device? If so which one (free or paid) is good or best ? How secure is Android app market in comparison to iTunes market? Recently I have a credit card fraud. It is the first time since I start using CC (1982), so I am extremely cautious and paranoid now.
Never mind for the Antivirus. I've found and tried Lookout free version.

Flashing U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 to Straight Talk?

There is no US Cellular forum, so I figured I would ask here.
I recently purchased a new Galaxy S4 from a friend who works at US Cellular. I have been using a Galaxy Fascinate which I flashed over to Straight Talk for about 3 years. I am planning on flashing the S4 over now as well.
Does anyone know where I can find a guide on how to do so? I am planning on keeping the same number, so I know it would involve cloning the ESN and all that, but I honestly can't remember how to even do it lol.
I know that for some phones / brands the process is different, so I'm assuming it isn't the same as how you do a Fascinate, otherwise I would just go find that guide.
Have found several people who know how to do it with Verizon phones but nobody seems to know how to do it with US Cellular? Sigh... I will pay money to get this done

Unlock/jail break

A friend of mine told me about this site. I am trying to figure out how to unlock/ jail break my Verizon galaxy note 3.. can someone please help..
Yes. Read the Note 3 Android Developement forum. Lots of good info there.

I have been.. I can't find it
Depends on the version you're trying to root/ jail break. If your version is 4.4.2, yes you can. If it is 4.4.4 or 5.0, no. This forum should have info based on rooting your phone, like as said before.
There is no unlock for any retail note 3 there is no sim lock to begin with on the vzw note 3. If you are on a firmware past nc4 4.4.2 you have no root or hope of root coming. There is no way to get unlocked and there seems to be no interest in unlocking the 3 so unless the 4 or 5 gets cracked and it works on the 3 or by some stroke of good will samsung does it we are all boned.
Is anyone actively trying to work for a root for 5.0? The Note 3 has been and still is a great phone. I have been rooted since I owned it....but due to a snafu that I could not recover from I had to load the stock 5.0 from verizon. I am almost to the point of getting another phone just so I can have root back. Being a regular user sucks when the beauty of root is known!! Any advice for a next phone that is big like the note 3 and easily rooted with verizon?
Does anyone still have bad signal reception issues after updates? my phone had it bizarre, Vrz replaced with refurbished unit but it came with 4.4.4 so all hopes lost, but signal issue is still there and annoying

Root for dummies (US/Snapdragon version)?

I have a S21, T-mobile model, G991U. It has the Snapdragon chip, not the Enyos. Last time I rooted a phone was a Motorola Charge I think it was before I tried jailbreaking the iPhone 4. Back then, manufacturers didn't try as hard to prevent modifications.
Fast forward to today. I have the T-Mobile S21 I want to root. I'll admit I am over my head, and unsure of how to proceed. First thought I could use Magisk Root, but apparently that only works for the Samsung processor. Found myself on SamPwnd's website, but only up to the S20s seem to be supported. The editor's blog here on XDA warns against using RootKing due to intrusive ads/possible malware, so that's out. Eventually found myself on a shady Polish website offering unlock that didn't pan out. It goes without saying I visited https://www.xda-developers.com/root/ and wasn't able to find anything.
Is there a legitimate root for the S21 US edition yet?
No. All S and Note series devices since the S7 have a locked bootloader in the US. Root is impossible unless you pay for a bootloader unlocking service (here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...unlock-for-samsung-us-canada-devices.4215101/) and that's not released yet. Expect to pay over $100 for the service, and expect for things to break when you do (Samsung Pay, Knox, etc).
^ This. My last Samsung was an S6 Edge, so I didn't know about the perma-locked bootloader crap on newer models. I'm sending back my preordered S21 because I can't root it and getting a Pixel 5 instead. The S21's hardware is clearly better, but it's not worth dealing that BS on the software side.
