Please, can you rename your thread like:
Code:
[device_code][CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch
device_code: is the device code to compile it like cm_maguro...
That way, I can subscribe and follow your thread if you want me to give support when needed
Also, please, keep the zip named as all my files. That is because many external progs/scripts rely on the naming scheme to download latest version for a given device. Else, I cannot upload your work to goo.im official host
:good:

You have modified some files so no ota. In your log build.prop isn't original

You're right, changing DPI modify the build.prop file so the checksum doesn't match.

Can't mount SDCARD...

Ok figured out the problem, it seems there's a bug that when booting directly from phone turned off to recovery with vol down + power button the recovery isn't able to mount sdcard. Rebooting from the phone and it's ok.
Is there a way to have the Aroma File Manager? I tried downloading latest zip v. 1.9.1 but it gives an error while installing it.

Did you try just by rebooting into recovery from the phone? Hold power button ---> reboot ----> recovery. That's all. The bug seems to show with the phone turned off and botting directly into recovery. I had the same issue with the TWRP 2.7.1

Try downloading a different ROM, wipe data and dalvik, and flash it via Amon_Ra's recovery.
sounds like corrupted files - did you open the zip files before placing on the sd card? you may have broken the signature on those files. try downloading again. do not open the zip files, just transfer them to the sd card and try flashing again.

What OS are you running and what browser are you using? I know for a fact Safari on a Mac causes the signature to break. I always recommend Firefox when downloading these files, and saving the file as target. Not opening and extracting.

Just try using another browser. Download and install Firefox if you don't have it and replace the zip with the one you downloaded with Firefox.
Make sure you're downloading it from a legit source, too.
Google Chrome!!!!
Google Chrome is great, I use it and love it, but using Google Chrome it's always good to check your md5sums, well it's always good to check them regardless, but Google Chrome is known to have issues with corrupting files during download.. Do what he said and try downloading another browser, that should do the trick!! Sounds like amon RA is doing it's thing, and you are s=off so you are in pretty good shape, it has to be the browser deal I think.. Good luck dude, let us know!!

Are you positive you're not extracting or opening the files? It really is unlikely to get that many bad downloads.
Again, do not open or extract the zip file. Leave it intact.

Make sure and copy any pics or anything else you want to save (not the downloaded roms) to your computer first.
Choose "Partition" from amon_Ra's main menu and then I think it says
"Format". When it gives the option to set "swap size" use the trackball to set it to zero (0).
When it asks the size of the "ext2", set that to zero, too.

Error in /sdcard (Status 0) Installation aborted

I'm trying to install a mod from the online kitchen but all i get is:
Error in /sdcard/mymod.zip
(Status 0)
Installation aborted
Even if i make an other rom, install an other version of CWM or SU or when I try to install it from the internal sd it gives me the same error.
I also tried to flash a different kernel, but no succes.
Any suggestions?
Flash a new CWM and Root kernel.

you might have a corrupted download, redownload the mod.
tried both, didn't work... I also tried to rebuild the mod but still get the error.
I can flash other other zips through cwm...

strong suspect is your zip file containing the mod. did you try toggling signature verification?
Are you trying from Kitchen or from CWM..
Place on int.SD and flash manually from CWM,
if other files are flashed then definetely CWM is preventing you afrom a wrong flashing...
i've tried to change my batteryicons with this guide and that works:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434061
But i want to do it via the UOT kitchen, because i want the lockscreen mod too.
This is what i did:
I've uploaded framework-res, twframework-res, systemui and applied the battery mod and the lockscreen mod, nothing else. Then I clicked submit to kitchen, downloaded the zip and flashed it to my device throuw cwm, and i got error 0.
Should i try other scripting in UOT?
maybe i'm stupid but can it also be that i'm on stock rom (rooted) ics 4.0.3 xen lp7?
Hey,
If you check their official XDA Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990829
You will notice (In the second post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12049814&postcount=2) that it is only compatible with Froyo/Gingerbread Roms.
You can't use it with ICS mate, and this is probably why you are getting the error while trying to flash it.
and what about this line:
Battery mod for ICS roms (NEW!)
i also tried to do the battery mod only, but still get the error
same problem with u

[RECOVERY] TWRP 2.4.1.0 touch recovery [2013-02-01]

Team Win Recovery Project 2.4, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Phone look:
Tablet look:
CHANGELOG for 2.4.1.0:
-Fixed a problem with mkdosfs that formatted sdcards to 2GB
-Fixed handoff between vfat and exFAT on devices where blkid didn't detect vfat (fixes some issues with mounting sdcards)
-Fixed problems with changing working directory on MD5 creation/checking that may have prevented unmounting
-Backups will now store a copy of the backup log after the backup is completed (only if backup is successful)
CHANGELOG for 2.4.0.0:
-Using libtar instead of busybox's tar for better control over tar file creation and breaking the 2GB barrier that busybox imposes (thanks to bigbiff)
-Support for exFAT formatted sdcards (also thanks to bigbiff)
-Support for decrypting Samsung TouchWiz encrypted devices including internal and external storage (special thanks to a3955269 for figuring it out)
-Improvements to OpenRecoveryScript including displaying a proper GUI while the script is running
-Added wipe cache and dalvik after ADB Sideload
-Replaced many system calls with their native C counterparts
-Fixed bugs in file manager where it would display an empty list after moving or deleting a folder
-Fixed AOSP recovery commands to run after decryption on encrypted devices
-Improvements for building TWRP in CM10.1
-Other minor bugfixes and improvements
NOTE: 2.4.0.0 is, as always, still compatible with your older backups!
CHANGELOG for 2.3.3.0:
-Fix renaming backups with a space in the name
-Add decrypt button to mount page if you cancel decryption during startup
-Added ignore blkid flag
-Fixed handling of MTD partitions during mount
-Fixed some keyboard mapping issues on 800x1280 layout

Yes, but with rom manager you won't find a recovery for our device because CWM in this forum isn't official build.
Not saying it's no good. xd.bx did a great job, it's just not official

Oh, I didn't know it was official CMW! Thats great!
Can you really install TWRP with rom manager?
Isn't it CWM touch?
No no, you got that all wrong.
First of all this is not CWM it's TWRP custom recovery.
You can't install it via ROM Manager but you can install it via GooManager.

Well the goomanager didn't find anything for my device, I mean didn't find no recoveries.

It's probably a bug, use my flashable zip.
Also does flashing this recovery increase the binary count?

If you flash it via CWM or via Terminal with dd if command then no, but if you flash it via Odin yes
And yes there's an official CWM recovery and also CWM touch recovery for our device.
For anyone that isn't able to have GooManager find a recovery for you, open up your /system/build.prop and find ro.product.name and give me that line.

[Q] Ayuda con el recovery de Mi Galaxy S3 I9300

Hello everyone a month ago I install a rum cyanogenmod m8 from my recovery in Zip install option but yesterday I wanted to try installing slimkat with a clean install wiping everything in internal memory but to go back to the install zip option and try install from sd memory I went out a next mistake
-- Installing: /sdcard/Rom.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E: Can't open /data/media/0/Rom.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.
this happened to me after I delete all data from the phone doing a mega wipe with a zip file but my big problem is that after I could no longer install from sd and my only option to revive my phone was installed by the stock version odin but I do not like the stock so I want to install Cyanogenmod SlimKat or 11 M8 but I can not for the problem that gives me the recovery.
it gives me another error is also:
e: error mounting / system!
e: can not open sdcard
someone help me?
PS: try the 3 types of recovery as I know cwm, TWRP, and Philz but three recoverys not allow me to install any zip file
PD2: The sdcard refers to the internal memory and because of this error can not enter or see what interda q in my memory from the recovery but also tried d install an external memory and nothing

Netflix Fix

I created a flashable zip that allows me to get connected to netflix (finally !!!!), it's working on my n5110 with the latest CM12.1 (20150911). The problem is that even when I can login into Netflix now, the Android App just wont work in CM12.X, this seems to be entirely a Netflix problem; But using this flashable zip with the workaround proposed at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2101525 I can watch netflix with no problems. It can be that this patch could work on any other CM12.1 ROM but I can't guarantee it.
Notice that the following file will be used under your own responsibility. The file is provided as is, and there is no guarantee of any kind.

I tried it on the cm12.1 snapshot and it doesn't appear to be working

This patch by itself doesn't fix the Netflix issue, you need to apply the Xposed workaround too. Are you able to open the Netflix App and get logged in?

OMG I was so happy finding this, but...
I manage Installing the Xposed installer app for 5.1.1 , but I'm failing to install your .zip with Cyanogen Recovery. Here is the message:
"Verifying update package ...
E: footer is wrong
E: signature verification failed Installation aborted."
Any idea ? :/ I'am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with Cyanogen 12.1 last release and I can't live without netflix :/
Thanks,
EDIT: I'm not root. Maybe it is the reason ?

Have you tried disabling the MD5 verification in advanced settings?

Same issue here!
Unfortunately, Cyanogen Recovery has no optiion for disabling md5 verification
:crying:
Damn, so close!
I can go in, start a show and then after a few seconds the screen freezes and audio continues to play. Bleh.
Did this work for anybody else but the TS?

script file that dictates what your recovery does when zip is applied.
i.e. delete old versions of files if they exist, write new versions, change permissions.
