So I was helping a guy at the home depot I work at. I saw the Guy had a S2 skyrocket and asked him how he liked it, then I showed him my Note I just got. Turns out he works for AT&T corporate. He new about the Note but wasn't really familiar with it, so I got my gadget geek on and showed off what the Note can do and then talked about the network around Atlanta.
So I went into work for an hour today to help out on a special order and I had a message with a contact number. So I call and it's someone from at&t, she told me that Guy I helped was so impressed with my knowledge and passion on mobile that he gave the info he had on me to her. Now she wants me to come in and discuss opportunities with business sales. It's face to face stuff mostly (not a call center).
Update: Got an interview on Tuesday at one of their corporate offices.
Update2: So I interviewed with them on Tuesday and it went very well. They said they have some in house promotions about to happen in a few weeks to a month and they would be contacting me again when they know more about the upcoming opens on their floor. It would be a 8-5 job with base salary and commission with business sales in the mobility division.
"Buy a galaxy note, get a job offer."

I could sell the sh*t out of some phones. Haha. It's funny how uninformed the sales clerks are at some stores. I literally saw an At&t employee trying to sell an iPhone to a guy based purely on Siri, and couldn't even get it to work. Her explanation was that "it just doesn't work sometimes, but it's still a really great feature"
Sad thing was, the guy walked out with an iPhone that day. If only I could have saved his poor soul...

That's awesome. Half of the people I know that works for at&t has no passion for phones. Useless as a sales rep, not so bad as friends lol

I had a post about this the other day and I totally can agree... its bad how they will hire people who don't know what they are doing but you get a bad rap from the go ernment and they wont hire you even though it was in the general basis... I went to three different att and a bestbuy asking he managers about the note not even two weeks ago and they acted like I was talking about space travel -.-

This actually happened to me too! Except not with a Galaxy Note and not AT&T but Verizon! I knew more than the guy they were training and actually troubleshooted a customer and the regional sales manager offered me a job! Too bad I don't go to school where I live :/

No he Just remembered my name and gave a description of me to a coworker and she called my HD and left a message with a number to contact her. I didn't know what it was for when I called. Then she telling me that I impressed this Guy so much and asked me if I would be interested in changing careers.

Any word on a Kit Kat update for the Verizon Note 3? (Sorry, had to be done... )
Is the KitKat update even in testing with Verizon? If so, when was it submitted to them and why has it not passed carrier certification yet? What is holding it up this long? AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular have managed to get it out without massive backlash and issues it seems.
AMA except stuff about the Kitkat update, because I dont know anything about that.

Get the Verizon CEO on here for us. We all have the same 2 or 3 questions lol. How long does a concessions account last. I just opened it as i work 3rd party with samsung but I'm not sure for how long as its only part time. i believe my contract ends in october. will they hunt me down for proof at that point or can i fly under the radar for a couple years lol but really wondering

Concessions accounts last for the term of your employment if your employer doesn't report it perhaps you can fly under the radar however if you have a dealer to report too or you talk to daily then yes they will catch on

If you left the company and still have the concession line active, as long as you don't call through customer service to change features on it, hopefully they won't catch on and won't cut you off. Also, as long as the company doesn't do regularly audits to see whether or not who's with the company still or who left you should be good.
I can't say for all third party companies but that's how it usually works.
thanks for all the replies. i am legitimately on it. just got me thinking what if i switch jobs someday as i gave up my loyalty plan but loving the extra data now. cost winds up being about the same as i took 10gb of data.

As the title suggests, OnePlus have announced that they wont ship to US or Canada for 3 weeks after they start in Europe due to "Production Schedules", Yet Europe shipments are unaffected? This makes no sense.
So in reality it will be a minimum of a Month before its even shipped if you got an invite today!
Honestly don't know why people are putting up with their rubbish.

At this point, it'd be best to just wait to see what Google does with their upcoming Nexus devices.
If Huawei's influence on the phone is large, then we can expect the same sort of things we got with the OP2, but with the added benefit of Android M and NFC - possibly external storage too. LG might make a great phone too, who knows! At this point, OnePlus' invite system and delay is a farce.
I was genuinely interested but I just can't get over the horrible way they go about selling their phones. I'd rather wait the month or two to see what Google/LG/Huawei do with the nexus and go that route, although we're likely to see a shortage of nexus's as usual.

Moto X is quite cool! Definitely being pushed in that direction in to buying one that is
2 reasons I won't get this device:
- They play too much, this invite system sucks and it is super hard to buy this phone unless you buy it from someone else costing +$300.
- I rather get a Nexus device, I will wait til October. Plus, I'm very interested in seeing how Android Pay will work, so I will need that NFC the OPT does not have.
When on earth are they going to start sending these to the US??? I don't think I'm getting one anymore, but I'm just curious at this point.

I live in the US and received mine on Friday. Was 103 on the invite list, took 3 days after I ordered it. Could not be happier. This thing is very nice and I'm sure that it's much nicer than the another plastic moto.....with another sub-par camera. Read the camera reviews for the moto play, the style has the same camera. Lol and moto promised to "bring it" this year with the camera.
I ordered on 09/03 and mine is still processing.... Smh

Yeah, they clearly outsource their CS it seems. Trying to report a bug on the official forums gets you a "read the manual" canned reply and then a "are you sure you're wearing it correctly" canned reply, despite giving them every ounce of testing info to fix the bug, all they have to do is pass it on.
One thing Microsoft did good with the Band is having their developers on Reddit and UserVoice to reply directly.

Maybe everyone should ask Samsung about apps for Gear Fit 2?

Without soft, I consider to return back my Fit 2, however it is perfect hardware.
I thought I would start this thread to give Note 7 users living in the middle east (like myself currently residing in Riyadh, KSA) the opportunity to exchange information, share findings, experiences, news and latest developments on the Note 7 availability ETAs, prices, sales points, offers, problems, ban news, ROM updates.... etc and any good info to share.
Here in KSA ministry of commerce issued a recall forcing all distributers to a full refund to around 6200 units and advised all users to respond to the recall campaign with a deadline of 26th of September.
On the other hand no fixed date has been promised to relaunch the modified Note 7 in the markets, only responce from Samsung KSA is October.
Looking forward to hearing your POVs and your comments.

Egypt's current situation about Note 7
Here in Egypt, Sammy told me that my Note 7 ( Which I bought from Qatar ) is going to be replaced/exchanged with the new one as soon as possible. They asked me if I want to swap it with S7 Edge and take a voucher with the price difference or swap it with Note 4 until the new one (fixed one) released. I recommended Note 4 option but I'm waiting for them to call me to pick it up. Btw it is currently (since 1-9) in bootloop problem and overheating so I'm not using it anymore.
I know that I should hate Samsung for this but I like my Note 7 actually.
My model is SM-N930FD (Dual Sim).

It was all due to government involvement in day one as it was an official recall, if it was left up to the local distributors I would be next to you puzzled.

I guess you only have to wait for the replacement. Check out the official Samsung statement in this regard http://www.samsung.com/ae/galaxynote7-notice/ and you will have more information on the page.

Here in Beirut, Lebanon the official release date was on the 2nd of September. The recall was announced on the 1st of Sept. Thus the release was postponed. And I couldn't receive my Note 7 back then
Samsung contacted me and asked me whether I want a full refund, get an S7 Edge instead, or wait for the N7 and receive more gifts with the package. The initial package was a Note 7 + Gear Fit 2 + Media Subscription. The new package is all the mentioned in addition to a Free Wireless Charging Stand + 1.2 m cable + official S-View Standing Cover + an extra USB connector. Of course I have decided to get this additional package and keep my pre-order. The problem is that there is no specific dates for the new release. All what they mention is that it should be available in mid/end of October and days are passing very slowly.. until then...!
I have used the N7 for 10 days and it was flawless in all measures and dragged myself to the store to the handover, I cannot find a good substitute to the N7 and thus looking forward to repurchase it.

That's why I want a new Note 7 .. I'll never accept anything else.
By the way, today Samsung Egypt announced the recall on their official website (delayed as usual).
Samsung has already began exchanging the defected phones in the US.. And their response in the Middle East for releasing the phone again is in October. I am afraid that we receive now refurbished phones so that they profit as much as possible since they lost billions of dollars. I hope this won't be the case and that we receive brand new phones!
Today, I received Note 4 as a loaner device till Note 7 new shipment arrives to Egypt.

Did they set a date for the relaunch in Egypt.
They didn't specify one. He told me it'll arrive here in 15 October and he wasn't sure about it.

I contacted samsung and they told me that the replacement Note7 will arrive in the 3 first weeks of October and i couldn't receive the note 4 as i is available in only 3 stores and all of them are far away from where i live ,do you have any other updates regarding this matter .
