Okay so this is kinda irritating for me. I don't use the default messaging app anymore and I don't want that notif bubble in my lockscreen. I don't want to use a locker or a lockscreen replacement anymore. Is there any way to remove the notif bubble notification there so I could use the default lock screen? Tried uninstalling and such and unchecking the notifications. My phone is rooted running Android 4.2.2 help!

Go to settings, application manager, look for the messaging app and click on it. This should bring you to a screen with an option to uncheck Notifications, do that and you are set.

are you sure you unchecked the box to prevent notifications?
Also this was for the stock messaging app, correct?

I use an apk called Flyscreen that has a lock screen with SMS. It also can show you your Gmail, Face book, email, weather, etc.

Widget Locker keeps the stock android look, you can create a slider for just about anything, and if you use something like Handcent or GO SMS you can also place the widgets from those apps on the lock screen.

You might be using another messaging app like Go SMS other than the default application. You should turn off the alert from the other for you to have only one notification.
turn off the default messaging app notification in its setting. you'll get only one notification from the other app.

hi peeps,
Using an Xperia Neo V, hope i'm not posting on the wrong thread/forum.
Am using chompSMS. so i've disabled the default messaging app now, but the default messaging icon still displays the new message count. What to do next?
One other thing: the default lock screen seems to be tied with the default messaging app, so the new message count is also displayed there. Is there any way to use chompSMS notification at the lock screen? Thanks.

[Q] How do I change the shortcut on an icon on the homescreen?

I'm not sure if I worded that right, but every time I click the little message icon on the screen for messaging it always takes me to create a new message rather than show me my entire inbox. Is there any way I can change this?
It is the message icon above the music bar on the right side of the screen, to the right of the phone icon with the arrow pointing to it.

Hmmmmm, I long press on the screen and I get a menu that has Browse Themes, Themer Settings, Smart Categories, Apps, Widgets, Homescreens, Advanced and Show Off. I cannot see a "configure."
I figured it out. I just added a new shortcut over the icon and then made the new icon transparent.

[Q] Control Which Hibernated Apps Will Get Push Notifications

Hi,
I bought the Donation Package only for allowing WhatsApp to get push notifications while hibernated.
I don't want all other hibernated apps like Facebook Messenger to get push notifications.
Can I control which apps will get push notifications while hibernated?
Thanks!

I could, but it's only for maximum of 24 hours. I'm looking for something permanent.

As a workaround, you can completely disable the app's notification. Do this by going into Settings > Apps > App of your choice, then untick show notifications!

Question Is it possible to disable this notification with root?

Obviously it's extremely obnoxious to have this after every call, but th ability to disable it is grayed out. I'm rooted, so maybe there are options to disable it?
Never had this, but as with any notification, I believe it can be disabled by long tapping on the notification and changing the settings.

That's grayed out which is why I'm asking. It's a known issue across the internet, but I haven't seen anyone asking about root solutions.

com.google.android.feedback (Market Feedback Agent) is a Google app that allows other apps to call it and ask you to provide market feedback. Most likely this is what you meant, as there is no Google Feedback app on the P6. You cannot delete it since the system partition is read-only and cannot be made writeable. You probably cannot can disable it in Settings > Apps but will need or use an app like Titanium Backup or SDMaid (Pro I think) to freeze it.
I will freeze mine and run a test, editing this post after to post the result.
EDIT: Freezing the Market Feedback Agent makes no difference. Something tells me that this behavior, along with the inability to modify notifications in the phone app, is baked into the app itself.
